DoubleT Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 A Message to you from Lego (DoubleT) Dear EuroBricks members, Today I have the pleasure to introduce a new website to you. It is called LEGO Factory and it will start from today evening. It will take a few days until it works completely but I thought it could be very nice for you to be some of the first people who get this information. On this website you can design your own LEGO micro model creation with the new version of the LEGO Digital Designer and you can take part in a contest and win great prizes. The contest is divided in 2 different age categories (until 12 years and above 12 years) and the best models will be found by a vote from all visitors of this website and will get prizes. The very best models will get the Grand Prize and this means that these models will be produced as a real LEGO Set and will be sold by us. So, if you like to take part in the contest, you need to check out www.legofactory.com as soon as possible and build you own creation. Good luck! Jan Beyer Quote
jonfett Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Thanks for letting us know doubleT, I will be sure to check out the site now. Isn't it great that we get new direct from lego.. I don't see anthing about this on FBTB yet! :-D Jon. Quote
ApophisV Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Oh.... >-| Thought it would be a large pick-a-brick page..... :/ Quote
jonfett Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 It looks good still, I am downloading digital designer now so I can create a model for the competition. It seems like a great idea to me and you can even win a prize! ;) Jon. Quote
Jipay Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 yep but how will it work exactly ? :P Damn I wish it was a giant pick a brick to :'( Quote
jonfett Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 I have read most of the info on the pages so I can give you a small summary. You download Lego digital designer from the site. Then you can create models using pieces available at pick a brick stores or all parts. Once you have designed a model you can submit it to the site and once a week the best creation is chosen and the winner receives their model with the pieces, as well as other sets too. So this will happen until Feburary, and then one model is chosen to be the grand winner. This person will have their creation made into a set and sold like any other lego set. Hope this helps you, it seems like a good competition to me.. and with a great prize!! Jon. Quote
ApophisV Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Hm, the program doesn't want to run, but nonetheless maybe some day I'll be able to submit something.... :/ Quote

ImperialJohn Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 I'm going for the 5% royalty :oD The Grand prize winners get: 1. The winning model made into a real set! 2. His or her name on the box. 3. 25 pieces of the "real" box. 4. 5% royalty of the actual Net sales. So please all of you stay out of competition :D That'll give me a better chance ;) Quote

Someone needs to add f---ing to the list of filtered words.... You haven't to create a new account if you are already registered at lego.com... That explains, why many names are already given away. Both sites use the same databanks Quote

Jipay Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Well seing the designer's choice in every Lego magasine convienced me that this kind of lego contest was always biased :-D Quote
David85 Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Well seing the designer's choice in every Lego magasine convienced me that this kind of lego contest was always biased :-D HAHAHAHAHA You mean you don't like those choices? :) My favorites are the one that just has $100 worth of Lego sets on a table and they win. Or the one that is like 10 pieces and says "Lego" on some plate, then there are the ones that look like someone threw pieces together to make something.... oh wait that was just the preview for next years Bionicle and Racer sets. :-D Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 The prizes are great. Chances of winning are slim, but its worth a try i guess... Quote
Vader Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Yep you dont win anything unless you try :) Quote
