January 1, 201213 yr If you put string on the back bottom of the last section, this goes underneath the whole boomand tied to a bush with a axle though it.then another bit of string is tied to the back bottom of the last section but this bit goes though the inside of the boom and then is tied to a bush and a axle.No gears needed. This is how i did it on my tele truck.
January 3, 201213 yr The trike rider is just great. I favorite. Iris simple, and has actions just by moving it. And movements very lifelike. If I just had the bricks.... This is an inspiration, for non-Lego lovers as well

March 4, 201213 yr Cool! Are you going to make a video of it in action? They don't have firefighting vehicles like it in the USA....
March 4, 201213 yr Author Sure I am, as soon as I solve the problems with the video editing software I use. During my research on this vehicle I found information that one SPOT-55 is on JFK's Airport in New york but did not check if it is true.
March 4, 201213 yr I have never seen one myself. maybe they use them in California where there has been several bad forest fires recently. looks cool anyway! Cant wait for the video. tim

March 5, 201213 yr @ Grohl: Your new alternate for the 8052 set looks great! On your Facebook page, you wrote several weeks ago that you needed to get "permission" before posting it. From whom did you need to get permission -- The Lego Group? Why?
March 5, 201213 yr Author @ Grohl: Your new alternate for the 8052 set looks great! On your Facebook page, you wrote several weeks ago that you needed to get "permission" before posting it. From whom did you need to get permission -- The Lego Group? Why? It was not for this one. You will have to wait to see the model we are talking about.
March 6, 201213 yr Grohl, I love your work. You've got some fantastic models! I really like your Harrier, and I also found a really nice Sukhoi (I think) fighter over on TB that I believe you built. You have built some really nice planes.
March 6, 201213 yr I really like this blue crane built out of set 8052. I also have few ideas for alternates from this set but no time to begin building...
