AVCampos Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 You made me buy 42020 Twin-rotor Helicopter to build your bird alternate model (and maybe have you sign it if I ever bump into you), and now you're making me buy a snow groomer to build a Johnny 5? You're pure evil! 😅 Quote

Why is it not possible to use red diffs with 12:28 gearing on both axles, centered? There seems to be enough space inside the rear axle frame for the locking ring even if the diff would be centered, no? Quote
grohl Posted August 8, 2024 Author Posted August 8, 2024 Possible it was, but geared up the gearbox would be. Quote

That was my guess, but then using the yellow diff could solve that problem, no? That's only about 10% faster than the current solution, which could even be beneficial for engine speed. Quote

Jim Posted January 10 Posted January 10 I would love to do a Technic contest for something like this. But not a lot of people have the needed parts for this. Quote
AVCampos Posted January 10 Posted January 10 As a huge fan of both Technic and M:Tron, I have the parts... just not the skills. Quote
Stereo Posted January 10 Posted January 10 90s Space and Technic both stick closer to the original limited palette (black, white, red, yellow, blue, grey, maybe green) so probably a lot of subthemes would work depending what you want to make. Just need to come up with large neon windshield parts. Quote
grohl Posted January 17 Author Posted January 17 I totally forgot to post these two. The Dropship is my 35th alternate build of the LEGO Technic Race Plane 42117 that I designed. The Dropship can fold the wings and the tail for take off and landing in a synchronised manner. Happy Building! Christmas Tree with gifts is my 47th alternate build of the 42117 Race Plane. The Christmas Tree dances by moving the axle with the orange connector. The helicopter has a working rotor and the tail rotor spins as well. The tricycle has working steering. The Glider Plance and the Gifts are built from the leftovers. Hope you like it. Happy Building! Quote
Timewhatistime Posted January 18 Posted January 18 (edited) The christmas scene is one of my favourites of your countless 42117 alternate creations. The helicopter and the tricycle are instantly recognizable and even have functions - really great! Edited January 18 by Timewhatistime Quote
