[MOC] UCS Boba Fett's Slave 1

I wouldn't say that because you are actually offering constructive criticism. My main/only problem is the fact you're thinking like a model maker instead of a MOCer. I.E complaining about details that are physically impossible to achieve in L ego in this scale. You might end up being a pedantic 'Oh this MOC is wrong because on the Red 3 X-wing filming model, the space between the laser cannon housing were 0.03 mm where as your MOC it's clearly futher apart apart' nerd.

I'm sorry if this starts to sound rude, but I would have to disagree with that statement. Most of the errors that I point out in others' MOCs are those which are correctly done on others' MOCs or which I see as being easily fixed within the limitations of LEGO elements. For example, in the case of Anio's UCS model which i being discussed here, I mentioned that the bars above the stabilizer fins should connect into the ship at an angle because I was aware that it was possible, since I saw it pulled off fairly well on Amun-Ra's model. I always try to base my standards for accuracy solely on what I've seen others achieve with bricks.

And as for the space between the laser cannon housing on the Red Three model, while I don't know the exact distance, I would say looking at this image that the distance would be closer to the thickness of two plates on a scaled LEGO model rather than the width of two studs, as it was done on marshal_banana's and roguebantha's models. And I have seen multiple MOCs in which the laser cannon housings are in fact quite close to each other (dateman, Brucey-wan, Niko, lowlead, etc.), so I know that it can be done in bricks. I feel that it's very difficult for a LEGO model to resemble its real-life counterpart if certain conspicuous details aren't right - I believe this was the case in the last rendition of my X-wing (my current avatar picture) in which the angle of the wings, the length of the wingtip laser cannons, and the "T"-shape inside the air intakes were not right, which is one of the reasons I decided to address those errors first. Whether or not the distance between the laser cannon housings falls into this category is debatable, but it's noticeable to me, which is why I pointed it out.

It (fallenangel327's commenting style),doesn't really bother me that much, but I do think, fallenangel327, that you should consider elegance as well as dimensional accuracy. You yourself said that SNOT looked good on my T-47 even though the wings should be quite thin, so there may be hope for you yet.

So the MOC was made in 2010 and is made out of about 1270 parts.

The symbolic price is 10€. Nevertheless, I you want to send a premium in order to reward the hours of work, to support that kind of work for the community, or any other reason that is important to you, you can do it.

I’d like to pass on my thanks to Anio for the considerable time that he must have invested in creating these instructions. I’ve just purchased a set, and they’re simply amazing; 135 pages in a .pdf format with easy to follow steps, including a detailed inventory of the parts required (inc. colours & part references). All that’s missing to make it totally perfect is an image of the Slave 1 blasting away from Cloud City!

In any case, when you pay, write something to let me know who you are (your pseudonym seems to be the most convenient thing for me). When I get the payment, I give you your link to download the file (HD professional instruction ; 82 MO).

Then, you have one day to download the file. After that, the link won't work anymore.

The second of Anios MOC models I have complete (Tie Fighter was the first). I can't recommend this one more, great design and fun to build.

The model is very strong at its core and provides some challenges when adding all the detail for the engines.
