Are you a topic killer?

This is a topic that has been straining my conscience for ages. I am able to just kill a topic dead. It's generally when we are al discussing something and suddenly, I post a relevant justified comment and the topic dies until a month later it is bumped. It's kind of embarrasing.

Is anyone else finding that they can kill an innocent topic?

( PS: I was going to put this in Website & Forums but I thought this was a better place. If I am wrong, feel free to move it ).

Lets just say I have to read almost each and every one of my posts at least three times before posting... And most of the times I just end up not posting anything. Some people would call that experience, I guess...

That happens to me all the time. It's in fact the main reason I rarely ever post in fora anymore. The twitchy feeling of embarrassment is unbearable. Strangely enough my english is going down the drains because of the rare occurrence of me posting.

I find it especially difficult to take if the "then dead" topic wasn't a vivid discussion to begin with, but a forum-game, a "Happy Birthday"-thread and the likes.

The online world is just as bleak a place as the real one... *sad*
