Sir Gecko Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 UCS Scaled Anakin's Starfighter by Bossk - 1 pt. I've always been a fan of this manner of ship, and you've captured it quite nicely. Dante's guns Ebony and Ivory by lisqr - 2 pts. There are so many details in these, but one of my favorites are the hollow barrels, not like minifig weaponry. :P ~G
Section8 Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 2 pts: 130, Klaus-Dieter: Paradisa Hotel 1 pt: 108, Captain Blockbeard: Steampunk Airship

Johnnhiszippy3 Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 I vote for: Circus Arena (146) by Bojan Pavsic - 2 points Irish Troubles (144) by Saracen - 1 point Both are very original and use some neat techniques that aren't easy in LDD. And thanks Superkalle for all of your hard work putting this great contest together!
Solitary Dark Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Some really fantastic entries here - but these are the three that just jumped out at me. Designer: Bojan Pavsic EntryID: 146 Name: Circus Arena Designer: Jan EntryID: 131 Name: Apartment Building Designer: Captain Blockbeard EntryID: 108 Name: Golden Gander SteamPunk Airship 1 point to each - I wanted to build these three...
SilentMode Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 As one of the entrants, I have to say that using LDD isn't easy, especially as a newbie - so I have to give it up to everybody who entered, you guys have done a really good job. My points go to the entrants whose creations I can see as being genuine Lego sets for sale: [131] Apartment Building by Jan What more can be said? [145] Hungarian Parliament Building by Sarkanyapu Fantastic use of smaller bricks to create a detailed, small-scale version of a building. I'm not familiar with the building, but the model itself would make a great display piece. [130] Paradisa Hotel by Klaus-Dieter I previously owned a Paradisa mansion (solely for the female minifigs!), and the style of the building fits the theme very well. I like that the hotel and the beach area are separated. Honourable mentions on my part go to Johnnhiszippy3, efullner, legoluisma, Bojan Pavsic and Set Sprinter, who should all get a point anyway.
gotoAndLego Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 lisqr - Dante's guns - 1 Point L-DI-EGO - X-WING STARFIGHTER - 1 Point Captain Blockbeard - Golden Gander SteamPunk Airship - 1 Point
legitimatealex Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Three points to Theme: Town Designer: Jan EntryID: 131 Name: Apartment Building It rocked my world.
XimenaPaulina Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 INCOM T-65 X-WING STARFIGHTER by L-DI-EGO = 3 points!!! Simply amazing details, much much better than the UCS X-Wing
Dan the Brickman Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Wow... (so, how do I get all those pieces in ldd?) anyways, the votes go to: 1 vote: Captain Blockbeard EntryID: 108 Name: Golden Gander SteamPunk Airship 1 vote: sunnyx EntryID: 149 Name: BattleCruiser from StarCraft II 1 vote: Set Sprinter EntryID: 150 Name: White Star Bridge
Ras 74 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Very many great entrys for this very first LDD competition. Many of you guys have really made a good effort. Here are the votes from me: Jan - 2 points SalvoBrick 1 point Jan: A massive and great design. Would love to see this CC modern style house built in real bricks! It is an awesome creation. SalvoBrick: A very nice set with a classic look of a classic gasstation. Wakes children memories (we do not have Esso here in Sweden any more).
drdavewatford Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 2 points for circus arena, 1 point for Class 8 British Shunter. Good work, guys ! Dr. D.
I Scream Clone Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Some amazing work all round guys. I give 1 point to sunnyx Bojan Pavsic The Lanterne Rouge sunnyx built one of the nicest ships for mine, Bojan made a unique circus, and Lanterne used some great techniques to give good form to his ship Well done.
The Cobra Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Here's my choice (1 point x) Johnnhiszippy3 Jan Bojan Pavsic
Quarryman Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 1 point to #108 - Captain Blockbeard - Golden Gander airship 1 point to #119 - The Lanterne Rouge - HAGA DEFENDER 1 point to #149 - sunnyx - StarCraft II Battle cruiser And it's somewhat sad to see so many great models suffering from LDD's crappy renderer, with a proper renderer I'm sure they'd shine even more
WhiteFang Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Excellent entries. These are my votes, 1 point to EntryID: 110 Name: Pirate Island Port by mrblue 1 point to EntryID: 131 Name: Apartment Building by Jan 1 point to EntryID: 146 Name: Circus Arena by Bojan Pavsic Good luck everyone.
zeeronemo Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 @ superkalle (I can't PM yet, I think.): Just back from holidays I noticed that my entry wasn't showing up in this voting topic. I posted two entries in the same post: one for the LDD only: Star (Justice) Base Dock and one for LDD + bricks: Rotating Star (Justice) Base (is in the other voting topic, but with the wrong name Star (Justice) Base Dock) Check out my post again, please: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=42614&view=findpost&p=774390 Anyway, thanks for all the effort put in this contest. Now I need to find some time to check all the other great entries...
