marcosbessa Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Finally, I have the chance to present you my biggest, most expensive, most detailed and most "workful" MOC ever! (until now! xD ) You've already had the chance to see some of the exterior photos here, but now I'm back to show you the finished version. I won't put here more photos to not overcharge the topic, but you can see these in higher resolution and much more photos at flickr. In case you're wondering about the name.... Do you remenber this lady here? I couldn't "kill" her, so as Madame Tussauds, which was a little old lady and gave the name to maybe the most well known Wax Museum, I wanted to pay a tribute to my "old lady" and used her again in this creation. :) Hope you like it! See ya! Quote
Orcasek Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Woah, that is like one of the greatest buildings I've ever seen! I love the colour scheme and statues. Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 AWESOME and BEAUTIFUL at the same time, and that statue......is one of the best designs I have seen in a long time. The floor, windows, in fact everything is perfect. You have done a fantastic job 'marcosbessa' and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
-R8- Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 The detailing is unbelievably rich, and absolutely impeccable. The staircase especially flows so well with the entire model! Love the flooring too. A true work of art Quote
Hey75 Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 That was great, the detail was good. Great job. Quote
dr_spock Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Awesome work! Love the staircase. Wasn't that lady used to be part of a cinema? Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Woowww... Wonderful MOC marcosbessa! Impressive masterpiece worthy for a museum Sir! The interior is just totally grand and fabulous! The staircase is definitely great, it's the first time I saw one in brickform. The color scheme inside also works for me, and I simply love every bit of detail inside, especially the tiling of the floor/staircase. Quote
Friction Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 This is amazing! The detail in it is fantastic. Well done. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 That is fantastic. The blue, the interior, the detail! That is probably going to be hard to top, so I can't wait for you next project Quote
Artifex Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Awesome, brilliant, amazing work! I was going to say that I love the stairs, but the MOC as a whole is fantastic and I love it all! I saw a picture of your MOC in the Portuguese event, but I couldn't see the whole of it. Now that I did, it is even more impressive than it seemed at first! Great MOC, man - I'm a conformist!! Quote
Rick Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 What a great building. Both the exterior and the interior look amazing. The real eye-catcher are the stairs of course. Brilliant! Quote
eiker86 Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 This was an magnificent building =) Just love it =D Quote
BlueBard Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Wonderful job, really! One of the best, colorful and better-conceived interiors I've ever seen BRAVO! Quote
marcosbessa Posted July 21, 2010 Author Posted July 21, 2010 Thank you, guys! :D It will be definitely difficult for me to beat this MOC in a future work, especially in the size of it! But I'll continue the hardwork in order to always create something different and better then whatever I had done before! ;) Once again, thank you all! Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 This is amazing work M! I've always been a fan of huge mansions from my early LEGO childhood; unfortunately, I've never had enough pieces to build one. You've done a fantastic job at creating interior details that are as equally impressive to the outside. Great colors and nice tiling, I even love the wax figures that you've selected (like Frankenstein - a perfect movie monster). Well deserving of a Classic Town blog as well as an EB front-page! Beautiful! Quote
Teddy Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Hi Marcosbessa, The exterior is amazing and the columns and the interior are fantastic! If I counted correctly the baseplate of the MOC is 64x96 studs which is huge... Are you planning to use the MOC in a city or square and are you planning to expand the MOC with a roof and backside? Kind regards, Teddy Quote
alexhui Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 amazing stair and color matching, best LEGO stair I have ever seen. It's very good MOC model. Quote
Tycho McKorley Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 (edited) This is some stellar work. I think the columns on the facade of the building are exceptionally well done and, as such, I might just have to steal you idea in the future. Edited July 21, 2010 by Tycho McKorley Quote
marcosbessa Posted July 21, 2010 Author Posted July 21, 2010 And again, thank you so much! Thanks for the frontpage too, TheBrickster! (...) Are you planning to use the MOC in a city or square and are you planning to expand the MOC with a roof and backside? (...) Hey Teddy! ;) This MOC was already used in a city - our city display at Arte Em Peças LEGO Fan Event. But obviously it was a community work... not "my" city! And actually I don't know when I'll be able to have my own city display... I simply don't have enough parts to keep all the projects assembled. This one will keep assembled for a long time I believe... But for now its finished, although it has all the potential to grow to the sides, or to the back.... Who knows what I might do with it in the future! ;) Quote
Captain Becker Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I love those stairs inside Woderful job mate Captain Becker Quote
zeki Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 This is a truly amazing MOC! All the walls are tiled (if I see correctly) and the windows details are just stunning! Can you provide some more pictures of the windows? Quote
Erdbeereis Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Unbelievable. I love the staircase, easily the best LEGO staircase I've ever seen. The combination of the dark blue and gray is very nice, I especially like the gray 1x1s inserted into the arches at the front. Awesome work Marcos! Quote
