phoinix Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 i dont like that this set dosent have the classic doors and windows.. it only has more <insert that tiresome argument> doors that make the set more duplo than system. .it also dosent have any system trees or flowers..where did all those parts go?where can we get the good old doors? i know that there is a set on lego.com with many doors and windows but we dont see those sets at our local toy stores...the older basic sets used to have many cool pieces to build from a house to a port and any other building you thought of..they also used to have wheels and car parts..now all that is sold seperate.. can any of you recomend a set that is out now where we can get the real system windows?(since i live in greece i cant order from S&H) so i wouldnt call this a deluxe set its just another bucket... it might be good but not as good as the oldest basic starter sets.. the only good think about this is that it has 3 minifig and one of them is a girl... ;-) :-) phoinix Quote
jof Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 can any of you recomend a set that is out now where we can get the real system windows?(since i live in greece i cant order from S&H) I agree, they are like Gold dust. I was lucky & picked up 3* 10044 10044 on brickset I picked them up at Legoland Windsor for Quote
Jipay Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 The starter set is good becaus eit contains minifigs, which is the thing we have been asking for years. I agree that they could have done better with the windows, but you know, TLC is slow, so maybe in 5 years... X-D Quote
SalvoBrick Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 I just ordered that set from LegoShop a few minutes ago, and I wan't to know if (a) Anyone has it. Or (b) If yes is it good. I just needed some good pieces for my city. Could you please write the inventory of pieces and put it on peeron? I'm very interested in this set, but before I buy it I'd like to know which pieces are present. Thanks in advance! Quote

Skinny Boy Posted April 19, 2006 Author Posted April 19, 2006 I received this set today with my Community Workers. They were both very good. I managed to make sort of a three storey building and a one level house. I used all the windows(there were eight) and both the doors. The three figs were good. A good set with a girl fig and two male figs. Since I started and now basically finished this topic, you could close it unless anyone else wants to post. Quote
Skinny Boy Posted April 21, 2006 Author Posted April 21, 2006 I just want to post here instead of making a new topic, About the NEW Community Workers. (Since I ordered them together) First of all great set. I wasn't too happy about all those smilies though. Second of all spare pieces. The spares from this were Amazing. They were so good I'm starting to think they are there so you can (As TLC likes to say) Customize Everybody However You Like So over all- Buyers Buy it. Owners Enjoy it. Quote

Norro Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 My local toy store has this for an insane 45 euro... what price is it near you? Thanks and God Bless, Nathan Quote
Skinny Boy Posted April 21, 2006 Author Posted April 21, 2006 Same price Norro. I just Forgot to say: The spares I got were: 3 Black male hair pieces, 1 Blue cap and some studs and visors. Pretty good for 'Spares' Quote
Norro Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 This must be the most overpriced set in years... but I could really use some of those old style tubs. Oh well. God Bless, Nathan Quote
