July 21, 201014 yr That is really nice. I love how you've taken your inspiration from the Ka-25/27/32 Family of helicopters. Do those rotors actually counter-rotate? to me it looks like the parts near the center of the rotor hub (that make it look more authentic) would actually clash if it did. Either way, it's a really nice small chopper that easily avoids any attempt to seem generic, so well done! P.S., so tell me, is the name for this chopper going to be called the "Double Helix"? July 21, 201014 yr IMO, the inspiration came from Ka-x26 series. Many thanks for sharing your award winning MOC!!! Reaaly nice and well-done! Let me the first to post "I'm a conformist!!" © lightningtiger
July 21, 201014 yr Oh, wow. I totally didn't even realize the Ka-26 existed. Congratulations de-marco!
July 21, 201014 yr AWESOME copter 'de-marco' ! Congratulations as well on winning with this creation of yours ! I'm a conformist! !
July 21, 201014 yr I like your MOC, particularly the detail in the rotor shaft, but I'm REALLY enjoying your presentation! You could have just shown the chopper on its own, but putting it on a little landing pad with a passenger and some cargo makes all the difference. The sharp photography doesn't hurt, either!
July 22, 201014 yr I'm REALLY enjoying your presentation! You could have just shown the chopper on its own, but putting it on a little landing pad with a passenger and some cargo makes all the difference. This MOC has won the "AirShow Contest" held by www.phantoms.su (probably Google translate will help with this link?). One on the major requirements the entries have to satisfy was the presence of ground (or water) scenery with some sort of interaction with the aircraft.
July 22, 201014 yr Very interesting chopper design, and very nice presentation too. Good job de-marco. I love the double rotor blades, thought the body of the chopper seem to be light IMO. It seems like the body is too light for the massive double rotor blades that the chopper would be unstable in flight (would constantly swerve). Pardon my limited knowledge in aeronautics/aviation.
July 22, 201014 yr this is a great design, it seems to be adjustable to in an official design from TLG great MOC
July 23, 201014 yr Very nice. It has a very unusual design in that you used the old classic helicopter wind screen.
July 23, 201014 yr Very nice helicopter of an unusual design. I like the coaxial rotors and the landing gear in particular. Congratulations on winning the competition. Cheers, Ralph
