Skafte Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Available now on LEGO S@H (at least from Sweden)! Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 i've placed my order i wasn't going to buy it but at $99 and then shipped to uk it would be rude not to. How exactly did you get it for this price? I'm not sure I'd still go for it, but it's at least more reasonable than what the standard price is in the UK.. though I'd be shocked if you aren't hit by import tax ontop of it. Quote

Daedalus304 Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Saw this at the LEGO store in the chandler mall in Arizona earlier. Beautiful ship. Didn't check the price tag but I'm sure it's the same as anywhere else. Meaning, too much for me to buy! Someday, JSF, someday... Quote

It's not like the Brand Stores to sell the sets ahead of time. Release is still a week away. Quote
Daedalus304 Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Really? It's not like the Brand Stores to sell the sets ahead of time. Release is still a week away. Yeah, when I saw it I just assumed it was supposed to be out now. Didn't realize how early it was. Wonder why they put it out early? Quote
cavegod Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 (edited) it ws on FBTB that this was being released on 25th instead of 1st. Edited October 26, 2010 by cavegod Quote
spacepilot3000 Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Here in Germany it is available via S@H. I've just ordered it Quote
Dfenz Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Here in Germany it is available via S@H. I've just ordered it And Ireland and presumably elsewhere in Europe. If anyone is looking to get double VIP points now is the time to acquire it. I wouldn't mind but I'd held off on some other LS@H purchases until Sunday night on the offchance it might be released early but had finally decided to get the double points while they were still available. I've now two LS@H purchases within 2 days which is really annoying from a double (€14.95) postage perspective. Quote

Using just these I was actually able to construct the entire ship (With only minor internal colour errors) in LDD4. Checked it against the instructions today to see how accurate it was, only a couple errors! I think that's a sign of good construction shots! It's a really cool ship, too, hoping I can pick this beauty up on Black Friday. Quote

A lot of people seem to be on a downer about this set, but I'll be getting it - looks pretty good to me. Quote
Skafte Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 I ordered the set a week ago, the other stuff shipped Wednesday, but 10215 was "on back order". I thought they might wait to ship it until yesterday (the original release date), but no. On back order only in my order - every time I checked it in the shop it has been "available now". Quote
cavegod Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 well mines on order, got it for £45 GBP due to the vip points i got when i bought the 10212 happy days! Quote
gratefulnat Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Just got mine the other day and have finished building it. I must say it was a very enjoyable build with many different interesting techniques, and looks great (yes, the astromech dome is too big, but I don't care because it looks really neat). The cockpit interior is very nice - and with all the stickers at least the 2x2 tile for the console is printed. As with every set there are some details that could have been done better (which have all been discussed throughout this thread), but overall I'm very satisfied. It's actually much larger than I imagined it would be, and the display stand allows you to swivel the ship around in a full circle. In my opinion it is absolutely worthy of the UCS title considering the 'low' piece count (although the numbered bags are something I'll never enjoy - I like to sort and prepare, which isn't nescessary with numbered bags - and they just don't belong in UCS set). I'm very pleased with it Quote
cavegod Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 You could just empty all the parts into a large container? escially fun with the 10179 Quote
gratefulnat Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 You could just empty all the parts into a large container? escially fun with the 10179 You got me there For 10179, I needed many(!) large containers, actually ended up using my son's billiard (play size) table top as well. It was fun... Quote
Blackknight112 Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 i hope their will be a review on this soon. Quote
gotoAndLego Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 You could just empty all the parts into a large container? escially fun with the 10179 My fiance has just accepted that her porcelain dishes and bowls are Lego containers whenever I'm building a new set. Quote
