Mine is saying 20/8/10. So before the month is out!

Sounds about right then, picked up one of the new catalogues today & they have a date of 1st September. Series 1 was a week or 2 early so Series 2 looks to be doing the same.

Can't wait!

Cecilie - thank you for both rounds of pictures with the shield.

A Lego Rep. I think it was in the series one thread. Someone emailed TLG and got a response saying distribution would include stores besides toys r us and specifically named target and Walmart.

I'd be happy if they'd just show up in Toys R Us around Canada...

Or Wal-Marts across Canada. It wouldn't hurt to have them in Zellers too

Any news on the North American barcodes?

I am fairly positive they have not been released yet, I'm sure as soon as they are the barcodes will follow shortly thereafter.

I called a handful of the US Lego stores and there all saying series 2 is coming out September. They might start appearing at toys r us in a week or two.

LegoGalactus

i can confurm this my local lego store said that they should have them in september, and my local tru said that they are on shipment to them with series one so they should have them within the next three weeks.

And at which drug store did you pick the figs up? dm? Schlecker? Rossmann?

How did you figure this out?

I went through the box in the store for 16 unique barcodes (took a while), and then as I opened them I cut off the barcode and taped it to the picture as shown.

Just cause I'm a nice guy...

Awesome, thanks SavaTheAggie! Or should I say, "Gig 'em!" (my ex-wife was an Aggie, so I know the lingo).

So, does this mean that series 2 has finally hit the North American shores somewhere??

For those of you around me in Dallas, Texas, USA - From what I gathered through my travels today, all of the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex TRU's had them and are out already. This is what I found out from employees that I talked with. I did not get even one :( I called one of the two Lego stores in the Metroplex (I had already read a prior post that said the other was out,) No luck there either.

Does anyone know how the releases worked last time? Did stores get multiple shipments?

I'm not sure about Toy's R Us but I'll check tomorrow

You got that right. The distribution here in the States is beyond maddening.

I suspect part of the problem is that the retail employees are snatching these things up before they ever get out onto the sales floor. That's not unhead of for in-demand collectibles.
