Hoboman Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Ok, as someone who is returning from a 20 plus year "dark age" I am out of touch. I have read a few times about these and yet can not find any reference to them on the lego site etc. Are these some kind of in store exclusive? Or only available in a particular place? Help me get "catch up". Thank You Quote

Oky Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 That's because it's not Christmas time and it's not out yet. When it is released, it should be available in other places than just the Lego shops. Not sure which retailers have them, you'll just have to ask around. Quote
UdaQuai Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Borders usually carries them. Kmart also carried them a year or two ago. Quote

Sorry, when I saw pictures of what is in it and pictures of the box and folks posting that they have their orders in, I liked what I saw and did not want to miss out. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 No worries; it's just worth remembering that even these days when merchants seem to want to push the Christmas season ever earlier and earlier, they still don't start selling Christmas goodies in July. Last year, I saw the LEGO City Advent Calendar at a number of major chains (Target, Toys 'R' Us, and IIRC Walmart), in addition to LEGO's own Shop at Home. However, for at least the past couple years if not a little longer, they've actually done two advent calendars each year - one City and one from one of the other themes (Pirates last year, Castle the year before that), and at least in those last two years, only the City ones were widely available in the US - the Castle and Pirates ones were released only overseas. Does anyone here know yet whether this year's Castle (Kingdoms) calendar will be available here? Quote

I get that Target (who did have a Chrismas sale this month) and Walmart (who also had a "Black Friday II sale this month) may not have them, But someone has them now or is it Lego lets the pictures out of all the stuff? Sort of ruins the idea of the "surprise every morning" if they do. TO "leak" out the complete list and photos in July. Quote
Oky Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Yes, CopMike confirmed that we'll get both Calendars this year. Quote
