August 28, 201014 yr I really do hope Shaak Ti and Saesee change from these prelims as although Shaak Ti is hard to get right, her head is too long as half of it is printed on her head-tails which is a little annoying. I'm pretty positive that Saesee will change as that mould on the top just looks unfinished. I doubt Shaak Ti or Saesee's new moulds will change. Both are fairly accurate, and LEGO doesn't make new moulds for the fun of it. It's expensive.
August 28, 201014 yr After what appeared to be an everlasting "Dark-age" I am finally back posting here in Eurobricks (I had been a member here for years so I just wanted to re-introduce me after so much time, sorry if it was off-topic). Now back into what seem to be the hot news : Clone Battlepack: The first time I heard the news about a new Clone Battlepack I was quiet skeptical, it is great to see the TLC proving me wrong. Giving us some variety makes this set a must for me. The Bomb-squad Troopers are my favorite of the bunch, all those orange markings make for a visually stunning minifigure. The ARF Trooper is great too but mainly because of his awesome new helmet. The Clone Commando is disappointing if we count him as a REAL Commando but as a fairly standard Clone Commander he is not as bad. The BARC Speeder looks about right (The pics are too blurry to judge), let hope the designers finally give us a true BARC Speeder. Mandalorian Battlepack: This looks less exciting than the Clone Battlepack to me. Sure it is great to finally have a whole squad of Mandalorian Warriors but the fact that all of them are the same bothers me. The variety is pretty lacking here and the minifigures aren't all that great looking in my opinion. I will take this one as a prelim hoping for some special markings on at least one of the four Mandalorian. The speeder looks just "ok", the designers can do better. Imperial V-wing: It seems I am in the minority when talking about this set seeing as how it looks just great to me. The color scheme is a step-forward, I have always wanted to have a black V-wing, a Republic one would have been a bit more boring to me. The design seems improved and the set looks bigger than the one sold in 2006 (Just as the Tri-Droid Fighter the TLC released this year). The Imperial Pilot minifigure looks awesome and the Astromech Droid is always a good minifigure to own in all the colors of the rainbow . Battle of Naboo: My second favorite set of the lot. Since 2001 I have been praying so the TLC give us another standalone Battle Droid Carrier (The one in the incredible MTT 7662 was good but it was obviously intended to be a small play feature). The Carrier looks GREAT, the color scheme is spot-on, the design leaves the 2001 model to cry and the size is absolutely perfect . The fact that it comes with around 8 Battle Droids, a Gungan Warrior and a new Jar Jar Binks minifigure are pluses in an already must-have set for me. Bounty Hunter Gunship A.K.A. The Halo: This is definitely my favorite of the whole wave. The last few years the TLC has been so focused in the Republic ships that I felt they were kinda forgetting about how many great unknown ships are presented in The Clone Wars. This is the respond to my wishes. A Clone Wars themed ship that is not only a "Non-Republican" ship but also comes with a great design and an striking color scheme. This set will surely stand-out in the middle of my collection just by judging the colors. The minifigures are another strong point with this one. Aurra Sing is a must-have for me (A Star Wars character I have always wanted to own), Embo is by far one of the most cool designed characters in the series and Sugi will complete an already great lot (After all this is HER ship). The Assassin Droid is a little plus and it seems to come with a new printed headpiece (If you zoom the pics you can see some little orange markings around his head). The A-6 Jedi Shuttle: I first feared the choice the TLC had when the first rumor list appeared. The ship itself didn't seem all that great for a set (Fairly boring design) and the idea of it being the biggest of its wave was disappointing to say the least. Thanks TLC for proving me wrong once again. The ship itself looks way more interesting in Lego-form and the play features seem interesting (I want to see just how sturdy the thing is when changing the wings positions); The minifigure although are the true highlights of this set. Not even in my most positive wishes and dream could I have imagined the TLC giving us not only one or two but THREE totally new Jedi in an affordable sized set. Quilan Vos is a great Jedi minifigure have, the markings are great and the new torso possibilities are great. Saesee Tinn is one of the Jedi Council character that I never thought the TLC will release so it is great to see a somewhat obscure Jedi being produced. Shaak Ti has been since I started collecting my MOST wanted minifigure. It is a dream come true to see her finally making her way to the Lego treatment. The headpiece is just beautiful and the head itself is incredibly detailed. I am absolutely pleased with her minifigure. What is more interesting in fact, are all the new headpiece of this Jedi. Saesee Tinn looks definitely prelim but Quilan Vos and Shaak Ti have special marking to them already but also NORMAL eyes. This is somewhat contradictory judging how Obi-Wan has common Clone Wars look. This is puzzling because of how the TLC already put elaborated marking in Shaak Ti and Quilan Vos forgetting all together of making them in Clone Wars style. Personally I WISH they stay this way (I don't like the new Aayla Secura minifigure because of this same reason but also is what makes so great the new Barris Offee minifigure in comparison). All in all I am really happy about this new wave, definitely looking to purchase every set in the lot. Waiting curious to see how the TLC surprise us in the summer wave (After they release four new Jedi in a set I don't see the possibility of a Geonosis Arena set impossible anymore). It feels great to be back .
August 28, 201014 yr Well, all in all looks quite a good wave to me The mandalorian battle pack looks interesting, hopefully the torso desgn is altered a bit to that in the preliminary pics, it just looks a bit more bland than the new boba fetts did IMO. Other from that, looks a decent bet to have a 'new look jango' The battle of naboo is the other one that interests me- it's great to see the design it's self of the gungans heads hasn't changed as I feel they were great when they first came out. At it's price point I concede there shouldn't be too much expectation surrounding it, but for a couple of gungans and more battle droids it has the potential to be a great set!

True- I'd be skeptical too, especially when I heard that it would have two standard clones. Fortunately, that was wrong. Mandos are well known to be a riot of color. I was at least hoping for Pre Vizsla...Fortunately, this will be great for customizers. The advantage is that it's the new helmet, and there are four in each set- there are lots of people out there who are good with paint and decals. I can't wait to see what they come up with. As you said, they're prelims- notice that Quinlan Vos's head is just Boba's head with yellow tape. I hope it stays that way- I certainly don't want them to be CW heads. With Shaak Ti, it's hard to tell- part of her head is white, so I can't tell if her eyes are standard or if we just can't see all of it.

Yes indeedy it is new. How it's a bit redundant that all the blasters now look the same just different lengths.
August 29, 201014 yr Yes. IMO, this will be a good blaster for Han Solo. Me gusta! Looks like the Clone Commando has them as well. Wonder if the previous small blasters are being canceled. Guess I will be buying multiple packs and trading the Bomb Squad troopers for ARF troopers. Mando pack has a tri-pod mounted cannon, gun turret and small speeder. That is pretty sweet! August 29, 201014 yr Just curious... in the older Clone Wars, the Eta-2 Actis interceptors made their debut around the same time as the ARC-170s. Apparently there have been ARC-170s in the new series, so where are the Eta-2s? We haven't had a new one since '07, and even then Obi-wan's blue one wasn't nearly as applicable as Anakin's yellow one. Is there anyone here who thinks LEGO might release an Eta-2 anytime this year? Even though I'm hoping for a primarily OT-based line in the fall, I've been expecting new Eta-2s for a while. The same could be said for droidekas. Sorry if this a bit out of the rumor topic, but I think the Eta-2s are due for a remake and will probably appear in future sets if they appear in the CW series. That would be the main factor I guess, since most of the vehicles that appeared in the series were released as sets (CTT, AT-TE, RGS, ARC-170, Delta 7Bs, etc.)

There were Swamp Troopers in one set which were basically Phase 2 Clones with green markings, which I'm pretty sure are not in any official sources. Really, though, even a tiny marking variation would be welcome. I'd much prefer different colours, but any sort of variation is good enough for me. As much as we would like to have different-colored Mandos, it's highly unlikely since this BP is mainly based on the Death Watch Mandos of the CW series. August 29, 201014 yr According to Wookieepedia, the Eta-2 Actis was released after the ARC-170, in 20 BBY, with the first prototype being flown by the Jedi in 21 BBY at the Battle of the Veil Nebula. The ARC-170s were released in 22 BBY, while the Alpha-3 Nimbus wouldn't be released until 19 BBY. Interestingly, that means the ARC-170s were released in the first year of the war, the same year the Delta-7 made it's appearance. I'm pretty sure we'll see the Eta-2's in the CW shortly. They actually flat out destroyed Anakins starfighter in one of the later episodes in CW Season 2, and I thought they'd use that as an excuse to bring in a newer one, at least for him. Oddly, he just received an identical one, which seemed like a missed oppertunity. But still, I'm sure they'll show up, especially now that we're moving towards the Phase II troopers, etc. I don't think I've really said anything about the new sets so far.. the new minifigures look okay, but people really need to remember their preliminaries. There's no real point of judging them at the moment because the finished versions will not look like these ones which have obviously been quickly cobbled together, particularly Quinlan Vos - who again is just using generic minifig hair and Boba's face with a sticker over it.

I've just notice that the Battle Droid Pilot doesn't have blue printed shoulders. His torso piece is blue, and there's a little area that is printed with tan. Has anyone else noticed this? because on first inspection it looks like a tan torso with blue printing, and I was wondering which is more movie accurate? Will/Rocketbilly

I think the wirst part of all is that the wings aren't SNOT- the other side shows the underside of the plates. The Bounty Hunter's ship looks good, though. Are those prison bars on the back of the ship?

August 29, 201014 yr I spy a dark-bluish-grey jetpack on a Mando! I'd like a single generic Mando Commander/Captain in the BP with three troops. I wonder if the mini-gun from the new LEGO CW game will be included in the BP? Probably not, but it would be so awesome!

August 29, 201014 yr After seeing these, I think I can safely say I won't be getting either the Halo or the T-6. Don't want the former, and even though it's a TLG standard, I can't stand the stacked plates way of coloring the wings on the latter. I'll probably just pick up the keychains.
