XimenaPaulina Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 (edited) please don't shoot me if this is old news: http://www.brickset....il/?set=66368-1 Great find Bobskink! Even if this Superpack is really weird, this is the perfect chance for people who don't own these three sets (like me ) to get these in one buy. The question is, would this Superpack be higher in price compared to when those 3 sets are bought individually? Edited September 21, 2010 by KielDaMan Quote

I can;t find these in canada has anyone seen them? Or are the superpacks not released yet? Edited September 21, 2010 by ceroknight Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 (edited) Thanks for the replies sok and ceroknight. Sorry for posting that question I sense we're about to go off-topic. BTW, technically that Superpack is still a 2010 set right and should not belong here? Edited September 21, 2010 by KielDaMan Quote

Ceroknight Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Heres what the mandolian speeder will look like (i think) Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 So I heard from the guy at the lego store that the imperial pilot from the V-Wing will have the exact same helmet mold and printings as the ARC pilot one except black with silver designs. The torso and legs will be the same as the Tie Defender pilot. This guy was also the guy that told me that TLC made a Lego Venator in 1983 that was never released. sooo.......I don't know how legit his information is either. The guy is an idiot. Here's a hint, the people working at LEGO Stores don't have any different info on sets, unless the set is supposed to be in the store within about a month. I knew more about LEGO releases than the people at the official stores. Being LEGO didn't have Star Wars rights until 1999, and didn't even think about having them until 1997-1998 the guy really isn't just an idiot, but completely nuts! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Heres what the mandolian speeder will look like (i think) Yes I think there was never any doubt that that will be the Mando speeder that we'll get in the BP, based on the prelim pics. The only question is how it will look like in the final version, and we somehow got an overview on the prelims, though a blurry one. Quote

-JD- Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 (edited) Considering the discussion on the V-Wing Pilot keeps cropping up, I'll repost what I posted earlier in the thread (before the pictures even came out). But I wouldn't quote myself because I'm not a plural sheep specialist. So, if LEGO din't want to save money, the visor should be black and not the orange one used in the ARC-170 and Rebel BP. I guess it could change in the final pictures. Edited September 21, 2010 by Jammiedodger714 Quote

I guess it could change in the final pictures. I don't know about that... the orange visor allows us to see the minifig's face, while a black one would look like sunglasses or something. Do we already have any kind of printed black visors on any minifig? I can only remember the first Scout Troopers or General Veers. Quote

The head used for the first General Veers and the AT-ST pilot would look good. It could still be thrown in instead of the orange one before the final version, or even a new print. I find that highly unlikely, however. Edited September 21, 2010 by ADHO15 Quote

Okay, but couldn't really find the right topic, asumed here was the right place. Conserning price, I saw it on eBay for € 39,99. The price sounds fair. For all those who which to buy these superpacks, wait intil the christmas sales start, in Europe it's around the end of Oktober, prices should drop. Quote

Ritz Brick Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 or TLC could be REEEAALLLYY cheap, and just use a plain black head to make it look like the visor is completely down. or to make the helmet seem more enclosed, but making it different from Tie pilot helmet. Quote

No I don't think the plain black head will work, just imagine an all-black face in the black open ARC helmet. The Gen. Veers head is a good idea, but I doubt it. I'd bet we'll still get the regular orange-visored head on the final version. TLG already repainted the whole body and helmet, so they would just probably leave the face unchanged. Quote
Clonie Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Are those larger sets something I would care about if I watched Clone Wars? Right now the care factor is quite low. Want the new Jedi figures though. The Droid Carrier looks nice. Sort of. Depends how many Droids it can fit. And it would be nice for me to finally get Gungans, too. I did just say that. All I can say about the V-Wing is it better be able to land properly. Mandalorian BP? I would pose the same question as I did before about CW. But still it's basically Jango Fett right there. I'll take one. Clone BP? I'll take ten. I can't help but feel this wave is lacking something, though. OT sets! That's it. They should make Boussh Leia. They haven't made that before have they? Maybe in a set with the Rancor (sp). They haven't made a Jabba set for a while. They could do something nice with it in this day and age. They haven't made an X-Wing for a while, I find that odd. In that time we've gotten two Slave Is and Grievous Starfighters, not to mention the last one wasn't a redesign. New X-wing could have a flesh Dagobah Luke and non-CW Yoda, possibly remade. Ghost Obi? Would be nice but probably not. They need a new S-foil mechanism also. It was cute but not efficient. I'm thinking a carbonite chamber, too, since we have that new carbonite dealy now. It could actually have a full-blown mechanism. Give it Bespin Lando and Leia, Lobot, Ugnaughts, Bespin guards, and the obvious, and call it an expensive set. Hey, I'd buy it. If we had those three sets we'd have every story-playable minifig from LSW II. TLG apparently decided that Endor Han and Luke don't exist. =P I want a new Qui-Gon, also. Quote

Shouldn't this be in the future star wars sets topic? Just trying to help I actually think the orange visor would look better than a black one Quote

The BARC speeder looks chubby and blocky, but I like it - I can always mod it. Not so fond of the orange squad tho. The mandos look nice, although I don't like the blue turret. Quote
Ritz Brick Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 (edited) Thanks for the better pics, is it just me or do the mandos seem to be holding different guns than in the first pics we ever saw. I can also see flesh heads on the mandos Edited September 22, 2010 by Ritz Brick Quote

Awesome pictures of the battle packs there and now having seen more pictures of the battle packs I feel I need at least 4 arf troopers to suit my clone army Edited September 22, 2010 by commanderneyo Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 With the close up images now I feel that the Mando BP will only have two jet packs. More than one I think I'll be buying next year ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Walter Kovacs Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 I'm not terribly impressed by the BARC speeder. As mentioned before, it looks very blocky. Now, that won't stop me from buying 5 or 6 sets for the minifigs, of course. One can never have too many clones. Unlike Diaabo, I do like the Mando turret. It's a third piece in a battle pack; one shouldn't expect too much out of it, and I'm just happy that we get three separate buildable pieces on top of the four Mandos. Only having two jetpacks is a bit of a bummer, but I'll still buy a couple copies of the set. Quote
