Stardusty Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 (edited) Does Anakin in podrace set has printed orange visor or something like that on his face? I still like most of these sets. SI has some great pieces. Edited December 28, 2010 by Stardusty Quote
Supersonic Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Five Words: TLG never cares about Accuracy Thats my last Line on this Disscussion now lets please get back to discussing the sets and not debating whether I am right in believing the Commander is Wolffe One thing nobody mentioned yet: I believe the clone on the frigate has a kama, but no pauldron - which is exactly the type of armor Wolffe's wearing. I think you're right. I am surprised nobody managed to get a decent picture of the figs in the Frigate yet. Still no way to tell who the clones are, and how Eeth Koth looks. Quote

Eurobricks fan Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Why does Darth Vader come in the millenium falcon? Quote
Darth Jar Jar Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Why does Darth Vader come in the millenium falcon? Well I think its like the case off 6121 where its made as like a starter for someone who is just coming into the LSW universe so they have all they key characters in one set Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 (edited) Personally, I like the new sets a lot. What I don't like is that Cody doesn't seem to come up with Anti-Blast Kama and Armor. Cody isn't supposed to have any. He doesn't wear it in the show or the movies. Edited December 28, 2010 by Brickdoctor Quote
BrickArtist Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 What do you mean, disliked? It's a great set with some useful parts, but the true highlight there are the minifigs. The speederbike is meh as usual, it's just inaccurate.. Still too large, bulky, etc. - but the rest is great. That's not Chief Chirpa, by the way. It's Logray. As I'm going to make an Endor diorama, this set will be a great help for me, and thus I'll have to buy alot.. ~ General Magma A little while some people said it was a let down because of the lack of figs. Cody isn't supposed to have any. He doesn't wear it in the show or the movies. But they'll probably include another bag of clone gear for kids who want to customize their clones, so there's still hope. Now, if only they could give Cody a jetpack and a Phase II helmet with a modified visor... Quote
Supersonic Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 A little while some people said it was a let down because of the lack of figs. It would have been nice to see Stormies or Rebel Commandoes again instead of the same figs every Endor set has had so far - Ewoks and Scouts on Z-74s. Of course the Ewoks are a good thing, but two of them is not what you'd expect from a 27 euro set - the 2001 (?) Ewok Attack had 2 Ewoks, a Scout and a Stormtrooper as well as a bike, a glider and a catapult for 17. But this doesn't matter if we get Endor BPs (with Rebel Commandoes and Stormtroopers) in 2012. Brickdoctor Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 A little while some people said it was a let down because of the lack of figs. And/or lack of AT-ST. But it's still a good set. Just not as good as it could've been. And like the case of 6212, they're using the minifigures to re-release a set that hasn't been adequately redesigned. But they'll probably include another bag of clone gear for kids who want to customize their clones, so there's still hope. simonjedi Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I'm just thankful Padme reappeared in a saga set- I know TLG will pupilize her, but hopefully they'll stop short of CW-ification. Qui-Gon should have his hair; he wasn't wearing his hood in that scene. (actually, he went hoodless for the duration of the Tatooine scenes). Panaka would probably still look good with the old hat, but a new one could be good. Of course they're not going to 'CW-ffy' padme because it's an TPM set, bit of common sense would be good :P . Do you think we'll get a double bladed saber hilt in the infiltrator/speeder? Quote
Walter Kovacs Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 So far from what I've seen there are only two must haves for me in the fall wave: the Geonosian Fighter and the Dathomir Speeder. The Falcon looks OK, I'm not too thrilled with the Frigate, The podracers look better than their '99 counterparts, but I never did like that scene very much in TPM (trying too hard to be another Endor speeder chase, IMO), Yet ANOTHER Sith Infiltrator. Still, if I ever win the lottery I will buy all of them. That's a big if at this point. Quote

The only variants we've gotten were both curved. Quote
Ceroknight Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 they should have added another scout trooper, do you think this will have the same price as the new v-wing or battle of naboo? Quote

Amen! It's a shame so many members still haven't learned to check the first post before they ask questions Sorry! Really sorry Won't happen again I wonder why the set is so expensive though, the catapult? thing doesn't look that complex and the speeder doesn't seem to have any improvement... Really sorry Won't happen again I wonder why the set is so expensive though, the catapult? thing doesn't look that complex and the speeder doesn't seem to have any improvement... Maybe they will improve? It's not just a catapult. It's probably a plate with a few plants and a tree on it, including a small catapult and some traps. Rolling logs, etc. Plus, Logray gets a new mold, and they threw in another speeder bike. Prices are like that nowadays, and you'll have to deal with it. ~ General Magma Quote
KimT Posted December 28, 2010 Author Posted December 28, 2010 Prices can't be singled down to part count. The Ewok heads aren't cheap to produce. The different colours are also not equally expensive to produce. If we want Ewoks - then we'll have to live with fewer parts in those sets. The 7929 has plenty of Battle Droids - I doubt they'll ever make a clone set that's even close. Clones are more expensive to produce both in the Clone Wars and in our real world. It's simple actually - once you consider all the factors included in defining which parts goes into a set and how much such a set is to cost. Quote
Legoman Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 It's sad they've removed the good pics. It's quite hard to make out details with these other ones. I personally think the Ewok set looks incredible. It's got 2 new ewoks, and a decent amount of brown parts along with greenery, log's, and a catapault. Must buy a few! Quote

It's true, battle droids are scrawny, no print, and don't require torso pre-assembly as clones do. Clones need heavy print, and helmets. probably twice the amount of plastic. The ewoks cary lots of detail, unique molds, extensive print, and scarce accessories. As KimT mentioned, ewoks rack up the price. We can't see the dimensions, but the tree/multi-trap like a big contraption. Kind of reminds me of the forest-men sets. I wonder what those log pieces are.... Quote

TheBrickHitHouse Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 We've previously had confirmation Lego's mark up on each set is 4-5 times their costs The parts cost Lego tiny amounts - a printed minifig will cost many times more than a battle droid - but we're still talking cents/pence. If you think a minifig costs Lego even a dollar to make your being generous ...that said, Lego is still cheap, £230 for the entire jan wave, £600 for the year - cheap as hobbies go. It's just expensive relative to what it is. If Lego keep giving me these astounding minifigs (shaak ti!) I'll keep buying! Quote
