commanderneyo Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 '09 was the best year. You can't beat a Tauntaun, Mr. ItsATrap, and a $100 set with 12 true figures. I know many ways to top 09 but it might take several years to write every reason Quote

The only way 2011 could really best 2009 that I can think of without any real issues is if TLG make a Bantha! But, Embo's inclusion in a set next year might, based on the minifig's quality, make me think otherwise. Lord Embo Edited October 27, 2010 by Lord Embo Quote

New Padme Rancor Battle of Kamino Set New Types of droids (Techno-Service, Aqua Droid). My username, after all, is inspired from him. Besides, I hadn't even been born when the OT arrived, so I know most about the PT. Lord Embo Edited October 28, 2010 by Lord Embo Quote

Lord Embo Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 (edited) Many shops charge different prices like toys r u's in my country might have the T-6 shuttle at 70euro but Hamleys in my country might have it at 60euro. Another good point, one I foolishly overlooked. Thanks for that information too; it should prove useful. Lord Embo Edited October 27, 2010 by Lord Embo Quote

Loads of new Jedi Re-Designed Geonosians Massive Playset of some CW Scene (Maybe Zillo Beast incident) I know I started this, and I'm not trying to get out of a discussion, but lists of what we want don't belong here. And just getting a Bantha is only the equivalent of just getting a Tauntaun. Quote

Bane of course Who isn't excited about Embo? If he and Bane would only team up, who knows what they could achieve. I can only wish that Clone Wars Season 3 provides the answer. Wishlists belong in the Future Star Wars sets topic, though peoples' ideas may have been mentioned by others. After all, it is over 80 pages long now and will probably reach 100 before or by Christmas, Lord Embo Quote

I disagree, I think 2011 looks better, the prices seem to be more reasonable then this year at least. Off topic: How long ago have you been a Count? I thought you were a knight just a couple weeks (or maybe it was months) ago... Quote
Derek Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 (edited) All these people delighted we are getting Rex....er bricklink guys? Why do people on this site seem to be unable to find that place...too young for a paypal account? Got two Rex's anyway...I think, thanks to bricklink I've got thousands of figures now! Good for you. Not only do I not like using Bricklink, but I also prefer to get actual sets. There is something I like about buying a set as a whole and not just the bits and pieces I like. Besides, I can't justify upwards of $20 for a (used) piece of plastic. I am just glad Rex is in a set that I actually want so I can obtain him the "old fashioned" way. -Derek Edited October 27, 2010 by Derek Quote

At least a month, I think. I probably average around 20 posts per day, and I'm at 1700 right now. Good for you. Not only do I not like using Bricklink, but I also prefer to get actual sets. I got Rex in the AT-TE too so when I get the battle for Geonosis set, I will just pant the thing on his neck blue paint a revenge of the sith clone helmet blue and I have a blue ARC Trooper. Quote

Fallenangel Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I don't think there is any pic of the bottom of the V-wing or the ARC. If I get the time I might play a little BF2 and see if there's a good image there. For the ARC-170: Clone Wars Chapter 23, about one minute in. For V-wing: I couldn't find an underside shot of the actual V-wing. However, there is a Hasbro diecast model, which is accurate enough to determine this much: No landing gear on either of them. Quote

Fallenangel Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Unless that model is just intended to be left in light position, and thus has no landing gear built in. Yes, but Hasbro die-cast models tend to include landing gear and a removable stand so that the model can be displayed either in flight or docked as desired. Quote
prateek Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 According to this, a landing gear pops out from underneath, but this is also the model that has scissor wings, so I don't know how accurate this is. Quote

Sweeping generalization, sheez. Not because you have two Rex's means other people don't have the right to get them right? I think this Geonosis set is the best way to get Rex in an inexpensive set. It just so happened, that me (and like others), who currently don't have Rex are of course delighted that we'll be able to get them in a regular set plus an updated Luminara and a whole bunch of other stuff. Er... bricklick? I've been using them for quite a while now. And er...? What's with the irrelevant 'too young' comment? (I'm 28 BTW, perfectly legal for paypal transactions) Quote

(I'm 28 BTW, perfectly legal for paypal transactions) I agree, I've already got my Rex, but I was really surprised it took them so long to put another one in a set, considering hes in almost every episode as a main character, and with all the anakins and ashokas flying around, you think there would be a lot of them by now. I really like the set regardless. And so what if I'm too young for a paypal account? Quote
CommanderFox Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 (edited) Damn Lego and their flick fire missiles. Amen! Ah well, at least they are making the proton cannon, I was hoping it would appear this year, but oh well, its coming in two months! CF Edited October 28, 2010 by CommanderFox Quote
