Lord Embo Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 It appears that TLG knows we've all seen the pictures and have given up on keeping the sets a secret. Lord Embo Quote
FettJango Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 It appears that TLG knows we've all seen the pictures and have given up on keeping the sets a secret. Lord Embo Not all of us. We're only so many. There are kids, too. Quote
Darth Jar Jar Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Don't know how TLG plans to keep the Battle of Naboo set a secret any longer; you can see Jar-Jar prominently featured on the latest S@H e-mail announcing the UCS JSF: {snip} Maybe they are going for a early release to cash in on the christmas sales?... Quote
prateek Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 I guess Lego just doesn't care. Then why did they have a secret police patrolling the interwebz taking down any Lego 2011 catalogues? Quote

Darth Jar Jar Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Then why did they have a secret police patrolling the interwebz taking down any Lego 2011 catalogues? Becuase some people already have the sets and they had Jar Jar in that Bombad Bounty preview any way so they can't be bothered any more Quote
Skafte Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 ...or perhaps they wanted us to see him first in the short film trailer, then on that S@H pic and be excited that we perhaps were going to get a new Jar Jar? Unfortunately (for TLG) pics were leaked early, and therefore they "can't be bothered" and have "given up"? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 How could it possibly be a secret when some people already own the set: I doubt TLG planned for that. This is the first time we have an official 'revealing' of the set that isn't confined to a particular country. Quote
Delta 38 Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I'm guessing that the reason why Jar Jar is there is simply because most people would just assume it's another minifig specially drawn or something and is not going to be released. I think most people should know by now that isn't the case, though. Oh no, I'm starting to become paranoid about rubber minifig heads because I didn't realise the paint might come off. I hope to get a Clone Wars Yoda some time, but I don't want the paint coming off. Couldn't they just have a solid plastic head, like the old one? I know they're different moulds entirely, but still. XimenaPaulina Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 The new Jar Jar is just delicious. Does it have a rubber head, or is that still unknown? Did Jar-Jar have a rubber head in the previous versions? The new one will clearly be the regular Lego ABS plastic, it actually looks like the same mold as the old ones, but now with all the lovely detailed prints. Quote

Aethersprite Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Anyway... I just realized this isn't the first time Lego has made a droid carrier from TPM. Quote
prateek Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 wasnt the first yoda made of ABS plastic? But the new CW Yoda has a totally different mold. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Anyway... I just realized this isn't the first time Lego has made a droid carrier from TPM. Yeah, it's been mentioned. wasnt the first yoda made of ABS plastic? No, it's slightly softer, same materiel as the new Ewoks, I believe. Quote
Flare Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 No, it's slightly softer, same materiel as the new Ewoks, I believe. The ewoks are hard like normal pieces, the old Yoda is the soft rubbery type. Quote

No, I have the Ewoks, and they're definitely not the same hard ABS as the normal pieces. They've got a matte finish and seem lighter or more flexible. Not as flexible as old Yoda, for sure, but closer to that than to the normal ABS. They come in China bags, too. Quote
Ritz Brick Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 we seem to have some confusion the ewok heads, wampa, grievous, medical droid are all the same type of plastic, they are prone to scratching, so thats why they were in separate poly bags, old yoda had a hard head, but the ears were only flimsy and rubbery because it was so thin. SOback on topic, I'm going to assume that Jar Jar and the other gungan will be made of the same type of plastic Quote

It's not shiny like the other hard pieces. Believe me, I have three of them. The Tauntaun is the same plastic as the Wampa, too, as far as I know, but I have the former and not the latter. Quote
Bluejet321 Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 (edited) I hope that the ARF trooper has something special instead of normal clone armour a special helmet. If not and i'll TLG EDIT: Sorry I'm new so i like the variety of Emoticons Edited October 30, 2010 by Bluejet321 Quote

I'm okay with it since the ARF should match the normal clones. Quote

The Legonater Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I'm good with it too. It looks good. Why did I know you'd agree with him? But, frankly, I;m oeith you- it loks perfectly fine, and would be unless they did the camo version, which would be sweet. Quote
