Lord Embo Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 @LordEmbo those commandos are Delta Squad. Thought so! Thanks for final confirmation though, now we know they might also be in a set in the near future, but that depends on what happens in the episode they and Saesee appear in. Lord Embo Quote
Supersonic Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 The question is: Which two sets that we have final pics for are you most excited about, and most likely to get? My two have to be the Bounty Hunter Gunship(Embo is my reason) and the Battle for Geonosis(for Rex and new Luminara). I would have said the T6 Shuttle if Quinlan Vos was available with it too, but his exclusion is quite annoying for a minifig collector like me, but I actually don't have an Anakin yet, so I don't mind getting one. Mace Windu's Jedi Starfighter was another one I considered, but it falls behind the Battle for Geonosis because of Mace Windu's CW face; it makes him look rather old and just looks weird in general, a problem that plagues many minifigs from The Clone Wars subtheme of Lego Star Wars. What are your two? Lord Embo 1. The Battle for Geonosis as well - I like everything about that set, from the BARC speeder and the minifigs to the great cannon. I hope it won't be too expensive though. 2. Clone Trooper BP - amazing minifigs and a canon vehicle, I really look forward to buying many of these. That might also be all I'm getting - T-6 is too expensive and we'll get the figs in magnet sets anyway, the Halo is just not important enough, the Mandos are nice but kinda useless - I might end up with one BP but who really needs an army of terrorists? The V-Wing is way overprized, and I'll only buy the battle of Naboo if I'm really desperately looking for more droids. Quote

I agree absolutely, although I like the Mandolorians, as I can use one of them as Jango. ;) According to KimT the Battle for G. will cost 30 $, which is perfect for what you get; german people will have to pay much more, at least this shop wants 40 euros. I'll just buy it when I'm on vacation in the US, then^^ Quote

Masked Builder Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Embo and Sugi look good, is that a printed head piece for Embo?. What is Sugi holding in her hand a gun and some sort of knife?. It sure looks like it. It's hard to tell from that small picture. Quote
Ai841 Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Question: is there any major difference between the Imperial V-Wing and the Republic V-Wing released a while back? Only that one cost 10 dollars and this costs 25... I see the astromech is whole, but is the ship itself larger? Quote
prateek Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 The ship looks considerably larger. I think just the front of this ship is longer than the whole old one. Quote
StoutFiles Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 I thought the same thing when I saw the prelims. Can't wait for 2011. Mind you, who can? Lord Embo The OT collectors that got shafted with this wave can wait. Quote

I think the main difference is the colour (duh ) but also the end got bigger cause of the astromech The OT collectors that got shafted with this wave can wait. Touche Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 The OT collectors that got shafted with this wave can wait. Oh well, the Battle of Naboo was nice. But I still don't like Jar-Jar Binks. Quote
Aethersprite Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Hehe. I just realized both BPs don't have flick fires. Quote
Lord Embo Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) When will we get final pics for the T6 Shuttle and the Bounty Hunter Guship on the first page of this topic? We have final pics on here for all the other first wave sets, but not these two. The OT collectors that got shafted with this wave can wait. Well, most kids won't know anything about the OT or the PT now, but will know about The Clone Wars. So, until the films come out in 3D in 2012, we'll probably have to endure sets from The Clone Wars, I'm afraid. Remember, Lego is aimed at kids, and it is crucial that the kids actually know what it is by watching the films; I persuade my kids to watch the films every 3 weeks or so, so that they know all about it. Aethersprite Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 I guess I'm lucky, I'm more of the newer generation of SW fans. I'm okay with the OT saga, but crazy over PT - I've seen RotS more than 50 times already. And I think CW is the best CGI animated series ever made. About the V-wing - I'm really questioning the odd guns. The original captured the guns perfectly. I guess I'm going to have to swap them when I get the new one. And I'm still disappointed about the TIE pilot. Quote
Lord Embo Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 And I'm still disappointed about the TIE pilot. Does the TIE Pilot still have an open helmet like in the prelims or is it another closed one? Lord Embo Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Does the TIE Pilot still have an open helmet like in the prelims or is it another closed one? Lord Embo Closed, I think. Quote
Aethersprite Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 I really wished Lego stuck with the one in the prelims. Oh well. Any chance one of the figs in the Mando BP would be Pre Vizsla, with those special white markings on his helmet? Quote
Lord Embo Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) Closed, I think. An open helmet would look quite nice and show the halfway mark between Ep.3 Republic Pilots and TIE Fighter Pilots. Oh well, it will still go well for my Imperial Army. Well, that decreases the odds of me getting the Imperial V-Wing, but I still want it for the astromech. I like getting astromechs to change around the parts to make loads of combinations! Lord Embo Edited November 2, 2010 by Lord Embo Quote
Delta 38 Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Closed, I think. Looks that way to me, too. Originally, I preferred the closed helmet type, but maybe an open helmet with printed head underneath would be better because the head can be used for other things. If it is closed, though, I wonder if there's going to be an actual face or just a black head? Quote
Emperor Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Can you buy it at that shop? Not yet. At the moment you can only preorder, the official release of the sets is the 2.11.10 I think that the helmet is closed, too; if the head was printed, it would have to be a clone face, right? At this moment the imperial army consisted mainly of clones, I think. Quote
Zzz Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Does the TIE Pilot still have an open helmet like in the prelims or is it another closed one? Lord Embo He is like this little guy: (only in black obviously) Quote
Future74 Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 I dont think so Zzz, I think he's like the Imperial Pilot from the TIE Defender, which would make more sense since they havent used that mold for anything else. And I dont think it's bad although a black open helmet would have been sweet too. Quote

Lord Embo I know...sigh, I'm just bitter about it. Got in the game too late and missed out on some great sets at MSRP. Hoping for some remakes but it's unlikely with CW dominating the scene. If they ever get that live action SW show rolling, they'll probably make sets from that too. Oh well. Has there been any news about the Endor Battle Pack yet? Hoping for some Stormtroopers in that...my guess is one Stormtrooper, one Scout Trooper, one Rebel Soldier, and two Ewoks. Quote
