prateek Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 so you bought these? if so where? I meant yes to finding them on the internet Quote
WhiteFang Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Great images! Now, I can enjoy viewing these new upcoming Star Wars sets. Looks like lots of new minifigures up for grab, even those battlepacks are equally awesome. Quote
Ai841 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 The battle packs are awesome, just awesome. I need them both. I'm torn between the V-Wing and the Droid Carrier. If I have to choose one, which should I pick? I really like the gungans, but I have plenty of droids. The V-Wing figs are nice, but the ship itself is expensive and not much different from my $10 Republic V-Wing. Quote

The V-Wing figs are nice, but the ship itself is expensive and not much different from my $10 Republic V-Wing. I have both lots of droids (60+) and the original V-wing, so I'm probably in around the same position you are, and I can say that I'd definitely go with the Carrier. For me, I don't really want a clone pilot or an inaccurate V-wing, and I never got the original Gungans, so since they have exceptional printing I'm looking forward to them. IMO, both sets have flaws, but the Carrier is more easily transformed to an accurate model. For the V-wing, and accurate model would need to have the hull plates mounted on ball joints to allows for multiple angles and then attached to the nose somehow. Trust me, I know what a V-wing should look like. Quote
Ceroknight Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I missed the part where it says that the v-wings wings rotate..Is that supposed to happen? Quote
Masked Builder Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) Wow they looks awesome! Can't wait! I missed the part where it says that the v-wings wings rotate..Is that supposed to happen? Yes I believe so. But it seems to change with each different comic/movie. Brickdoctor Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Yes I believe so. But it seems to change with each different comic/movie. The canon ship just turns the whole wing forwards 45 degrees, like this 2010 LEGO one does. Quote
FettJango Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I'm confused about all the talk about the V wing's wings. Quote
lt.Gonville brickhead Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) Hey I said in a different post that I wanted a mandalorian battlepack Edited November 13, 2010 by lt.Gonville brickhead Quote
Gile (SRB) Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) Guys, sorry for off - topic , but can someone make a thread about comparing LSW sets? EX. Is this set better or this one? Edited November 13, 2010 by Gile (SRB) Quote
FettJango Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Guys, sorry for off - topic , but can someone make a thread about comparing LSW sets? EX. Is this set better or this one? That's kinda what the reviews are for. You can compare using the overall grade the set gets. Quote
Captain Becker Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Gonna get these sets even at im not a SW fan, the black ship is awesome at me Captain Becker Quote
Ceroknight Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) Am I asking too much if I ask if the Mandolians have back printings? Edited November 13, 2010 by ceroknight Quote
prateek Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) Am I asking to much if I ask if the Mandolians have back printings? Yes, you are asking too much! Seriously though, I don't think they will, considering the jetpacks cover their backs. Edited November 13, 2010 by prateek Quote
Ceroknight Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Yes, you are asking too much! Seriously though, I don't think they will, considering the jetpacks cover their backs. Well, from your fantastic picture: I only see one... Quote
Captain Becker Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Seriously though, I don't think they will, considering the jetpacks cover their backs. Pirates line has backprinting too, and they alo have backpacks, so i guess there will be backprinting too. Lets hope so. Captain Becker Quote
prateek Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Well, from your fantastic picture: *snip* I only see one... According to this: There are 4 jetpacks. Quote
Skafte Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 To me, the four jetpacks are a drawback, since that means there will only be one fig from the BP in the BL list and in my collection, but I'll buy a set anyway. Quote
Stegoceras Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 There are 4 jetpacks. Why is everyone so obsessed about getting four gray jetpacks? You only need one for a custom Jango, and it's not like it's the first set to include them (although first in gray of course) Still can't see the fuzz about this set, nice to have a mando, 2 would be alright, but 4 exactly the same ones can't really see the use (unless they have different faces all around). But of course everyone his own preferences. Quote

Fallenangel Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I'm confused about all the talk about the V wing's wings. I missed the part where it says that the v-wings wings rotate..Is that supposed to happen? Yes I believe so. But it seems to change with each different comic/movie. I've already explained this. I remember someone mentioning a while ago why was Vos scrapped if he was going to appear in the T-6 shuttle in Hunt For Ziro. The reason: They are actually two different shuttles. The first one is the one he did appear in with the second being the one being made into a set. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Eta-class_shuttle Man that thing is ugly. We can only hope LEGO doesn't decide to make that into a set... That's kinda what the reviews are for. You can compare using the overall grade the set gets. Agreed. Well, what's a Mandalorian without a jetpack? It just looks awkward if they don't/ Indeed. Remember how pathetic Jango Fett was without his jetpack. Quote
KimT Posted November 13, 2010 Author Posted November 13, 2010 Am I asking too much if I ask if the Mandolians have back printings? Not necessarily. TLG has recently been applying back prints to a lot of figs and with their "new" printing machines, it's actually no problem nor that much of an increase in production to do so. I hope they'll have back prints - I personally think the jet pack is overrated on anyone but good ol' Boba Quote
Big Cam Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Out of box pics! Awesome pics prateek. great to see something official. Quote
