XimenaPaulina Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Agreed! IMO, the ARF helmet looks best with 3 stripes on it. Yep, that would solve the problem. And I think we have to end this ARF discussion already, it's becoming too lengthy some other members might 'scold' us for actually discussing a topic which is very much 2011 set-related. Quote
CadBane Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Wonder if the summer wave will feature any of the new jedi costumes in CW, such as Ahsokas new outfit. If you don't know what that looks like, click here: http://www.wired.com/underwire/2010/11/clone-wars-ahsoka-new-look/ (awkward new computer, haven't figured out link building yet ) Quote

I mean on random characters (even though Ahsoka isn't that random )! Boba Fett is the coolest character in the SW universe, plus, he was in an exclusive set. If you want proof that Boba is the coolest, do a Family Feud type survey asking 100 people who the coolest SW character is. Edited November 17, 2010 by prateek Quote

That makes perfect sense, especially since Ahsoka ranks first second, behind Jar-Jar on the un-cool list. Quote

If you want proof that Boba is the coolest, do a Family Feud type survey asking 100 people who the coolest SW character is. Boba Fett is the coolest, but asking 100 random people the top three answers would be Darth Vader, Han Solo, and Yoda. Boba is still a very minor character in the whole scope of things. Quote

Anakin was 9 and Padme was 14, to make matters worse. But this whole 'who is cooler' discussion is way off-topic. Quote
Ritz Brick Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 When did the selection of minifig BPs made any sense? AT-AT driver fighting on the Hoth ground anyone? or how about random C3P0 running around the Hoth battlefield. Quote
Lord Embo Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Personally, I see battle packs as sets you can buy more than once because there are no named characters included in them and they're good for army building. A battle pack with a named character is useless for army building because people won't want a named character more than once, so the battle pack in question won't sell as well generally because people would only be buying it once each, unless they don't mind getting more than one of a named character. IMO, the ARF Trooper in the new BPs for next year should be just a generic ARF Trooper. Anyone can pretend it's Stak or Razor if they really want to. End of my rant. Lord Embo Quote

Lord Embo That is one of the main ideas of a BP, and one of the reasons there's no Jedi BP. Zev I think was just stuck into the BP because he uses a generic Clone Pilot face and TLG probably figured that no kid would know him or the fact that all Rebel pilots have different helmets, so they used him to save a little money, since by the time they were working on him they obviously would have known about the Wampa Cave set. Zev Senesca isn't that bad to have multiple's from, if you switch out his face with any other mini-figure you have sort of created a new character. Especially if you add it to a scene with multiple rebel pilots, I have done so with my multiple Luke's (and Dak) in my little display and must say it doesn't look awkward at all to see a few of the same helmets. Sorry about the off-topic all. and damn we could do with some new pictures of the 2011 sets. Edited November 17, 2010 by Stegoceras Quote

Darth Jar Jar Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 (edited) I think that was to compensate for his absence in 2006's x-wing But that set was made as a starter set so you could have one off the most iconic ships and the extra minifigs were there so you could start off with the most iconic characters Edited November 17, 2010 by Darth Jar Jar Quote

Emperor Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 (edited) In my opinion the older one's turret is much better. I agree. The piece count of the Mandolorian Battle Pack must be really really low; maybe that's why there are 4 jetpacks. Btw, is that blue plate of the turret a new piece?
