Brickdoctor Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Integrate him If you can't do it I will where does he live. I think you might have meant 'interrogate'. It's really early to have 2011 jan sets, not AVG sets!!! No, the sets are planned and designed over a year in advance. Remember, by Christmas of '09, we'd seen final pics including the finished box art for all of the non-exclusive 2010 Summer sets. Commanderneyo, we appreciate you for providing some info to us. But pls. do not expect people to believe you right away. Do understand that most of the time, people are skeptical about new rumors, especially from a new member who hasn't yet established his credibility. Remember that credibility and reliability is earned through time, and you will have your chance to vindicate yourself if the info you provided us will turn out to be true. But for now, all we could do is wait for concrete evidence (read: photos) or word from already-established sources (Navy Trooper Fenson, Jedi-News, etc.). I know some members might have been harsh on you, just try to understand them (the way most members also understand you). Also, maybe not always mentioning your friend Jordan and his grandpa will also help. Agreed. Don't get me wrong, there are some sets there that even though they're PT/CW, I'd still like, and the Geonosis sets sound really good, but because the rumors are slightly irrealistic and because I have no idea about this guy on Facebook, I'm not to keen on out and out believing them. Rule #1 of LEGO Rumors: Never, ever believe rumors that are from unknown people on Facebook or YouTube. Quote
TFGuy89 Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Thanks for the news commanderneyo. I'm sorry that some have been a bit harsh on you, but in my opinion, I can't really see what's the point of posting news that one knows to be fake, so I doubt you'd do that. While I'm not sure what the sets will be like, I appreciate your sharing. Quote
FettJango Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 (edited) I really hope you are right, Commanderneyo. This site is made up of AFOLs, and we are mature enough to realize that posting fake news is not cool. (e.g.: Dude, DS coming out in life size, dude.) Edited November 22, 2010 by FettJango Quote
commanderneyo Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Heres just one last thing I will say about this before I ask Jordan some questions. Personally this is why I want those doubters to understand I am not lying, I have no interest in a Red Y-Wing or AAT and I had certainly have not added it to my wishlist on the Future products Thread, Remember MasterWindu when he pretended he had rumors just stated pretty much nearly every set that was on his wishlist and of the sets I mentioned were they on my wishlist? Three of the sets Jordan confirmed (Podracers, Geonosian Starfighter and Battle Of Geonosis) were all sets found on the Czech forum Poza was on and also Jordan told me that he would tell me 1 added set but then named 2 Vehicles involved in the Battle Of Malastare which is Why I believe that the AAT and Red- Y Wing are in the same set, also because all the figures in the set were involved in the battle. Quote
Emperor Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I think I made some sort of mistake, Because the Red Y-wing and new AAT are in the same set and so from what I gathered with the Figures Jordan told me being Rod, Goji and Tactical Droid (The one on Malastare), I believe that they are in the same set which is called the Battle Of Malastare. That sounds much more realistic A set like the Battle of Endor containing two big vehicles is quite possible, TLG likes to make sets including figs of both sides(Battle of Endor, Battle of Naboo, Echo Base). Did he tell you more about the AAT? I think the design of the latest version was great, so I hope they don't change too much... Why is it that people who post fake news get angry when called on it? Seems almost like we are ruining THEIR fun as opposed to them ruining ours If the news were fake he wouldn't insist and give us ne informations like that. I don't think a member like commanderneyo would do that. If he had less than 10 posts, I wouldn't believe it either, but he has nearly 500, so I think he really wants to share information about new sets with us. By the way, how well do you know Jordan, commanderneyo? Do you trust him? If you do, then I'll believe you until we get the first pics ;) Quote

If you do, then I'll believe you until we get the first pics ;) Well We are not actually really friends this is how I first got to know him. (I first got to know him in march) We joined the same Facebook page called The Star Wars Underworld, we started to become really good friends on Facebook and I know Jordan well, he has not once ever told a lie and is probably the most trustworthy Person I know, and when he does something wrong he always quickly admits it was his wrong doing. EDIT: I would certainly trust him about Lego sets especially upcoming ones Edited November 22, 2010 by commanderneyo Quote
Mr Man Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Well if commanderneyo is lying then the 7-10 posts he has posted backing himself up means he is pretty serious or unlivable for ever, but with nearly 500 posts I would say he has a lot to loose if the rumors are false . I still believe you but aren't really happy with the new list. Quote

Perhaps you misunderstand us (or at least me), I don't believe you're lying. I understand that you are merely relaying the information from one man to the next. Supersonic Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Y-Wing and AAT in one set? This would make it terribly expensive, especially if you only want one of the two. Add up the prices of the two sets as standalones and you get ca. 100-110€. But hey, better than no red Y-Wing at all. Quote

I agree, this would have to be really expensive especially for people who already have the AAT... they have to pay for something they don't want; of course you can still buy the red Y-Wing on ebay, but I like my sets to be MISB when I buy them. I'd much rather have one big ship/tank instead of a big set containing several smaller ships/tanks. The republic frigate has to be true... Edited November 22, 2010 by Emperor Quote

They just bombed the droid army, so the setting against an AAT fits. Quote
Walter Kovacs Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Well, the Y-Wings weren't used as starfighters on Malastare. They just bombed the droid army, so the setting against an AAT fits. Ahh, I didn't see the episode so I couldn't make the connection. Well then, the pairing does make more sense in that light. Perhaps the rumor is true. Time will tell. I could always use another AAT, and a Y-Wing is welcome as well. Clones with unique printing are always good. As for the price, remember that this is the August wave, when most of the big price sets come out to play. So the timing makes sense, too. Quote
General Magma Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 But hey, better than no red Y-Wing at all. I disagree, I'd rather have something else than a red Y-Wing. But hey, that's just my opinion, and I'm more of an OT fan. Kinda confused as to why they would throw two medium sized vehicles into one set, but we have seen multiple vehicles in one set before, so it's not unlikely at all. Overall, I'm disappointed with the new stuff, except for the geonosian sets. That one sounds promising, and I'd like to see newly improved, and printed geonosians. Other than that, there are other uses for geonosians aswell. The rest doesn't seem so good. (Although the Podracers may be interesting, too. It would be great to have a new Watto in it, but that seems very unlikely to me.) ~ General Magma Quote

As has been said, the pairing sort of makes sense, but the last time TLG put two equal opposing vehicles in one set was way back in '05, I believe. (Wookiee Attack) The Y-wing itself is usually paired with the TIE Advanced, but that's an OT setting. Quote

Didn't you say the AAT came with two dwarf spider droids, or was that the stun tank? Is the 'stun tank' definitely confirmed as being a SPHA-T, whether First Battle Of Geonosis or Malastare, as opposed to the super tank? And commanderneyo, although you seemed to have convinced most people that you're telling the truth, if you could persuade your good friend Jordan to give us a single pic, be it small, blurred or even just a new fig, you will be able to show up those people who call you a liar and be loved by everyone here! commanderneyo Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 More updates from my chat with Jordan now and I asked the questions posted earlier. 1. Is the Battle of Geonosis a AOTC set? 2. Is the Stun Tank the one in Zillo Beast or AOTC? 3. Did you get the prelim versions or the Complete versions? 4. Will you share a small pic of one new minifig possibly? Answers 1.The Battle of Geonosis is a CW Set. 2. The stun tank is the zillo beast model but is in the battle of geonosis set. 3.I got the complete version. 4. I might be able to. Update about possible picture by him: I'll try to get some pics this week. Also there is this: The AAT & Red Y-Wing are in one big set for $250.99 like the dropship & AT-OT. Quote
CMP Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Also there is this: The AAT & Red Y-Wing are in one big set for $250.99 like the dropship & AT-OT. So the $50 AAT and the $50 Y-Wing are going to cost $250 together? Quote
General Magma Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 (edited) 1.The Battle of Geonosis is a CW Set. I'm fine with that, really, as long as the geonosians are not cartoony. The AAT and the red Y-Wing together for $249,99 sounds really ridiculous to me. Oh well. I most likely won't buy it anyways. But it seems more like a mistake to me, either that or there's going to be much more in that set.. ~ General Magma Edited November 22, 2010 by General Magma Quote
Legoman Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 (edited) So the $50 AAT and the $50 Y-Wing are going to cost $250 together? Don't be insane mate, Lego's not that sad - It might include a new figure! Walter Kovacs Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 So the $50 AAT and the $50 Y-Wing are going to cost $250 together? That's that new, Lucas math for you. For that price, I would guess that there is more that is included. Quote
