More updates from my chat with Jordan now and I asked the questions posted earlier.

1. Is the Battle of Geonosis a AOTC set?

2. Is the Stun Tank the one in Zillo Beast or AOTC?

3. Did you get the prelim versions or the Complete versions?

4. Will you share a small pic of one new minifig possibly?

1.The Battle of Geonosis is a CW Set.

2. The stun tank is the zillo beast model but is in the battle of geonosis set.

Frankly I see your point- something's not clicking. Unless there are other things included, that Y-wing/ stunk tank combo can't be $250. But at the same time, don't trash Jordan- let's reserve our judgements for when we see pictures.

To me the only way an AAT and a Red Y-Wing together would cost so much would be if the AAT were to be of better proportions, loads of figs (8 or 10) and a couple of exclusive ones, othe than that. This information seems false.

on the otherhand, I was looking at the Mando BP picture and on the box art, theres a mando leaning back at the turret. To me it looks like theres a touch of pink underneath.

So do you think it will be Boba print or CW trooper face.

I do believe you are right, it seems like a little bit of skin beneath that helmet.

But I presume it would be neither Boba or Clonetrooper cause they are mandalorians and have nothing to do with either of them. Either a new face, blank or regular smiley.

It seems that Lucas and this wannabe-Indiana-Jones-guy just randomly put some new vehicles here and there into the TV series to make Hasbro & Co produce toys and get more money. And they cover it up in some cheesy copies of sci-fi films with animation that would make a japanese first-year student of 3D animation shiver in pain. Seriously, who writes these stories and who is responsible for the art direction? Padme looks like... well, not like Nathalie Portman whatsoever.

I agree. And what's more, I am increasingly convinced that they are making Neo-Clone Wars episodes without knowing what happened in the original Clone Wars (or having even watched the original Clone Wars, for that matter).

And the new vehicle designs aren't even that creative. Delta-7B? It's a deformed Delta-7 with a full droid socket. I know one cruiser basically consists of a Consular's engines mashed onto a Venator's body. The 'Pelta' Frigate? Tore off the back of a Consular and added a hammerhead. T-6 shuttle? White Geonosis fanblade starfighter magnified x100. And I know I've seen something looking like the main body of the Twilight somewhere, I just can't remember where!

Money.

Parents will buy their kids a set with their fav ships in, and if TLG can charge more by putting two medium ships into one pack and hiking up the price then woopiedoo for TLC

Given the amount of new minifigures that AFOLs have been demanding of LEGO, I wouldn't be surprised if the other $200 came from new molds. That and the fact that LEGO might actually have put some effort into making sure the sets are accurately scaled and proportioned.

A lot of these are likely conecpt arts for previous designs, i know the Delta 7B is, and Filoni keeps priding himself on all the thrown out designs he's used.

It'd better be a new one. If anything, it won't be the smiley 'cause the smiley has no pupils.

Except that there has never been a re-release of a UCS set, and we already have a UCS Y-wing.

Red Y-wing will no doubt have a pilot a R2 droid and probably Anakin, I think it would be based upon the red Y-wing that dropped the Electro-Proton bomb on Malastare in the episode with the Zillo beast.

Then again if they are going right back I believe they had red Y-wings when attacking the Malevolence, in which case would probably be R2D2 Anakin and Ahsoka.

I was looking at the V-Wing, and my guess is that the whole astromech will fit in the ship, but ther wil b some kind of sliding mechanism for it to fit it, or it comes up through the bottom. I really doubt the removal of the head.

I doubt it too. I don't think TLG's ever done that. In the '07 System N-1, R2 was removed by way of a bottom trap door.

Yep that's the red one that appeared in Point Rain, and AFAIK it hasn't appeared in any other episodes. Assuming the rumors are correct, it's not actually surprising for TLG throwing this red Y-Wing randomly with other ships/vehicles in strange settings together. We should all know this better by now.

EDIT: I stand corrected. brickbuilder's photo shows a red Y-Wing in the Zillo Beast epi.

Sorry, i just ended up putting a link, because I fumbled for 20 minutes trying to get the link from flickr!

Anyway, does anyone else find it odd that in Landing at Point Rain the Privates had red Y-Wings and now only the commander does? I thought only Lego screwed things up like that
