Ritz Brick Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 He was on the death star... Then again lego doesn't care about accuracy He was Endor for a while. So the only set I could imagine him in would be speeder bike chase with Leia and 3/4 scout troopers and speeders. Maybe some trees. Quote
Mr Man Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Greetings, new one.Why would you need set numbers?? To check if they are valid. Sets with set numbers are usually more believable than rumors without. £50.00 to much for the shuttle, its not very good as it is £35-40 would be my limit for that. Quote

DarthR2-D2 Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 (edited) Exactly, what I do when I hear of a new LSW set is I go straight to Brickipedia or Brickset and search its number. Edited November 26, 2010 by DarthR2-D2 Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Alrighty, my turn to read up on a few pages. So... Jordan tells us we get the Malevolence, we don't get the frigate, the shuttle is cheaper than we thought, and there's something about this whole thing that sounds phony, right? Someone care to elaborate/correct? Quote
Emperor Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 (edited) we don't get the frigate, Why do you think we don't get the frigate? We even have details such as which ship it is (it's a Consular Class) and which figs it contains (Yoda, 3 Clones with red marks, 2 pilots,1 officer). Consular class Frigate. And Jordan listed the wrong figures, the Real figures are Captain Zak, Thire, Jek, Rys and Yoda and 2 Clone Pilots, Also 2 Launching Escape Pods. Edited November 26, 2010 by Emperor Quote

I'm reading over three pages I missed and that was what I gathered. I did ask if my summary was correct. Quote

Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude or offend you; sometimes I forget how difficult it is to get all the information out of the 5+ pages a day. Anayway, except for the Frigate you are correct Thanks! So, I'm thinking this sounds quite phony, just because a huge Malevolence in addition to all the CW sets already rumored doesn't make sense. I suppose the Malevolence could be an AT-OT-type set, in both price and release, with the Consular filling the $100 regular set role, but it's quite unusual to get no large OT sets. In the past, every year had a big OT set. In 2010, it was 10212. In 2009, it was Home One, Battle of Endor, and Tantive IV. In 2008, it was the Death Star, in 2007, the UCS MF and walking AT-AT, and before that the OT sets always had a large wave of their own. I agree, I would like to see at the very least set numbers that are realistically possible and final prices before deciding on these rumors. Without pictures and and a part count, I don't want to make a decision on this rumored Malevolence, but right now it doesn't interest me. Quote

The Battle of Naboo actually started at $30, but $5 is still a nice savings. Quote

TheCashleySlash Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Hi, I know this may seem old news, but does anyone know/have finer images of the Mace Windus Jedi Starfighter (7868) and Battle For Geonosis (7869). Many thanks Quote
Stardusty Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Those prices are great. I've expected that Jedi Shuttle will cost like Slave 1, and Bounty Hunter ship like Palpy's shuttle. This is great. Now I will maybe buy Mace Windu's Starfighter and Battle of Geonosis to. I love this prices. Woohoo! Quote

If the Halo costs less than Palpatine's shuttle, it will be under $100; sounds quite unlikely, but that would be great. Anyway, I'm not sure about the Malevolence. I don't have much experience with it and I don't consider it as iconic as other ships. There are a lot of figures, but if the price is $350 (or was it $250?) then it would surely be worth a fortune over here. Either way, I'm not really interested. I'd rather get a Venator or something, and even those are out of my price range. I mainly want the Ewok Attack set and the frigate. I hope the frigate is affordable and isn't too big (around Slave 1's price is okay). With the amount of new Clones included, it sounds worth it. Quote
brickbuilder Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I was planning to get all the sets, but then the Malevolence came along and slapped me in the face . If you guys could only have 1 set from 2011 what would it be? Mine would be the Consular frigate. Quote

At this rate if I start talking about UCS Cloud City enough it'll come true. We really should have a little more confirmation on sets (pics, set number, multiple sources) before we treat them as fact. Quote

That's exactly how rumors get started through the internet, every comment makes it look a little more real, then its "true", and then its fact. I think its a little annoying when people produce a load of rumors with no backing what so ever . Quote
filospinato Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Why would they do a Malevolence so shortly after giving us instructions to build our own? Excuse me if this has been covered before, but to what instructions are you refering? Quote
Forresto Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 I don't know but I think this thread should take the approach of "If their ain't no pictures, it didn't happen". I've looked over the last 10 pages and it's all speculation over a list we can't even verify is true. Quote
Ceroknight Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Excuse me if this has been covered before, but to what instructions are you refering? I think he means the instructions you get when you beat the game at lego.com Quote
brickbuilder Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 There's a game called the Quest for R2-D2 on Lego.com, and if you beat it you get instructions to build a Malevolence. It uses pieces from every (non-exclusive) 2009 Star Wars set. I built it, but I found the instructions on youtube, because I suck at the game by the way, it's the set in my avatar Quote
CommanderFox Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Here we go...prices talk. Anyone have any new pics to share? I really want to get a close up of the tactical droid. I just noticed by looking at the box art for the Geonosis set, that the speeder bike that Luminara is riding has a Red and White colour combo, the Battle Pack Speeder has a Green and White combo. If people still want set numbers, have a look at the first post. Some of these sets that commanderneyo has told us about from Jordan are there, and they have set numbers. CF Quote
