Gile (SRB) Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Yes, I didn't know is it OK to promote the store. Wait, are you djile** (i think djile84 or something like that) on Kockice forum? Nope. I don't remember did i even register there? I just know im not that guy. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Na, the 2004 version was actually pretty good. The 2000 MF was horrible. I really like the idea of a ROTJ one with Lando, Nien Numb and an A-Wing but that's not very probable. Big sets tend to cost 150 without the addition of a 20-bucks fighter. I say it will be more detailed, a bit bigger, and suffer from the usual rise in prices at the moment. Unless it really is a step back from the ESB version (which already sported a very well designed interior) it should be a must-buy for me as I missed the first models. How much would a starfighter cost? A TIE could be $20, but I don't think an A-wing is that much. 'Course, if they give us an X-wing, then it could double as an AnH MF. I doubt the purely RotJ MF because I don't think they'll release an MF without Han and Chewie. Quote

No, I think an A-wing or a TIE these days would definitely meet the $25 price point ($35 in Canada ) Edited November 27, 2010 by brickbuilder Quote

brickbuilder Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 I guess judging by prices these days a 150-piece set could cost $20... Well I guess more $20 ($28 ) because look at the january wave's $25 sets, they look bigger than the Freeco Speeder and stuff like that. Quote
Stardusty Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 (edited) I wonder when we are going to know number of pieces in these sets. When compared to Freeco Speeder/Plo Koon's JSF or that set with 3 rocket droids (Tri-droid fighter?) Battle of Naboo looks really big. Edited November 27, 2010 by Stardusty Quote

So it will be 25$ (Yay,when you're in Serbia, you should really say "Yay"). Quote

I can't imagine that an a-wing would run more than ten bucks, I would like a set like that that had 1 of every rebel ship flown to attack the death star in episode six. Quote
Stardusty Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 @Gile: Ok, i know, but it seems bigger beacuse of 12 minifigures in it. That surprised me. Well, I can't wait for my birthday and Jedi Shuttle. Quote
Supersonic Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 The 2006 A-Wing was 15 bucks and by now TLG has raised the prices. A 27 dollar A-Wing would make for a nice, if a bit expensive, set. Including one in the MF would solve the problem that it would be overpriced - they have done the same in the Mon Cal Cruiser. Quote

The one in the Home One wasn't half bad, but it probably wouldn't crack 150 pieces. I had it, but it's broken down now so I'm not sure. Quote

When is your birthday by the way? Quote

I had it, but it's broken down now so I'm not sure. Actually the newest standalone A-Wing had 194 pieces (it included a rebel mechanic and a small, um, "train"), which wouldn't even be bad for a 27 dollar set. Just add another rebel pilot or mechanic and it's a great set. But there isn't a rumor about one, I'm afraid I'm nearly afraid to mention it, but looks like "Jordan" isn't giving us pictures after all Quote
KimT Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 Wait, so the Falcon is confirmed now? Let's not forget the Falcon is on one website with a set number, that's not very concrete. As close as it can be without preliminary pictures and/or official release. Quote

General Magma Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 He knows something... Yep, just like he appeared to know something about an upcoming Geonosis set a while back. As for the A-Wing thing: I don't think there will be one in the MF. It is a possibility if it's the falcon for ROTJ (which it will most likely be - we've had 2 system Falcons so far, this will be the third one. First ANH, in 2004 we got the one from ESB, and now ROTJ? So, an A-Wing could maybe be included as an extra in the set, but I doubt so. ~ General Magma Quote

mutley777 Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Looking at the other star wars sets that are already on the Kiddiwinks website the new falcon has the same price point as the 8039 Venator. So whatever price the Venator is in your country should be a pretty good guide for the new falcon price. UK £100 8039 Venator R 1,984.00 7965 Millennium Falcon R 1,977.00 Quote
brickbuilder Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 I wonder what it'll be in Canada, because the Venator is $120 US and $150 in Canada and the Turbo Tank is $120 US and $160 in Canada. Quote
robuko Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 (edited) The Falcon is about the same price as Diagon Alley so I guess $150. I am very much hoping that buys more than the 985 pieces in 4504. I didn't get 10179 as it's just too big (which I am regretting now!) so I am really looking forward to the new one. I just watched the CW episode with Luminara in her sunglasses (she's really a lame character, leaves her paduan to die, then gets captured). The battle on Geonosis set would be better if it included Poggle. Hopefully the Geonosian starfighter will have new Geonosians. Edited November 28, 2010 by robuko Quote

Yep, the Venator is $119.99 in the US. That means the MF actually only has an extra $20 over the old ones, and when you consider the fact that the RGS went up to $120 without any extras, I guess this is just the Falcon with no add-ons.. I hope they at least get rid of the piece that says 'Hyperdrive' on it. Edited November 28, 2010 by Brickdoctor Quote
