Fallenangel Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Ah. I'm pretty sure Fordo has not appeared in CW, and IMHO I hope he doesn't because his is one of the few clone squads I currently like. I wouldn't have expected TLG to get it all right on the first try, but I was surprised that the UCS one was inaccurate. I think the reason might be that wedge plates only come in certain angles and certain lengths, and it's not that simple to just knock off a stud or two. Indeed. The Muunilinst 10 should remain exclusive to the '03 series. (But I would like a Phase II Fordo minifigure...) Also, to whoever complained about the AT-AT driver's helmet: around 1:45. Looks pretty accurate to me. Those who prefer LEGO sets over the original studio models and props should remember that there are some of us who are in it mainly out of love for the films. Seeing the amount of space inside the UCS Falcon, I doubt it would have been very difficult to replace a 3x6 wing with a 2x3 somewhere, and besides the mandibles are too large by well over a stud or two. But then again, I haven't tried it, so I'll refrain from judgement until somebody shows that it can be done. Quote
CommanderFox Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 That would certainly make the head more desirable. Agreed, like the old scout trooper. CF Quote

Agreed, I rather like my UCS one, the long mandibles make it look sleeker. So here's some info I got, it's not much but it's something; The Battle for/on Geonosis (the one with the proton cannon) box will be the same size as the AAT one. Quote
Cpt. Dan Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Does anyone know the release dates on these sets? I'm more interested in the Special Edition sets of Battle of Geonosis and MW SF and I can't really find any information on those sets online... I know it's supposed to be January but I don't believe it truthfully especially when it comes to those. Quote

KimT Posted December 3, 2010 Author Posted December 3, 2010 Probably January to March. Brickipedia lists it as January, but I don't believe that either. Most likely February or March as they're "Special Editions" and thus not normally released with the regular wave of sets. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 7913 7914 7915 7929 7930 7931 I assume those are larger than the previous ones? Thanks. The V-wing, T-6, and BARC still look ugly though. Quote
legolandia Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Well considering that there's only 6 sets confirmed so far I look forward to the other 10+ that will be released in 2011. I am presuming we will get 20+ sets in 2011 based on the history of the previous 2 years. One thing is for sure so far: definitely a good year for minifigures. Quote

Yeah, I think we've gotten something like 18-26 sets, so I'd expect at least 10 more. There's the 6 Winter Wave sets, 2 confirmed exclusives, and (I think) 6 more or less confirmed Summer sets. I'd expect 1 UCS, which means around 5 or so sets left that we don't have rumors of. Quote
TheBrickHitHouse Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Looks like a 2 man cockpit for the shuttle. The bounty hunter ship looks okay but I hope it's got some nice play features otherwise it's just a weird looking starfighter Quote
KimT Posted December 3, 2010 Author Posted December 3, 2010 Thanks for linking those new and better pics nrg. Since they're non-confidential, I'll change your links to deeplinks for all to enjoy. Plus I've added them to the Gallery section on EB and to the flickr group as well. Quote
Blackknight112 Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 I think there will be at least to UCS, because lego does that every year. Quote
brickbuilder Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 I think there will be at least to UCS, because lego does that every year. They won't necessarily be UCS, but there will definitely be 2 LEGO exclusives. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 They won't necessarily be UCS, but there will definitely be 2 LEGO exclusives. We already have two exclusives, the Battle for Geonosis and Mace Windu's JSF. But I'd still say at least one UCS. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 (edited) Thanks for the hi-res pics nrg! Looks like I was right about the ARF, four stripes and hence he should be Razor. Anyway, let's just not make it a big deal if they just named it a generic ARF trooper. Oh, and very nice air-breather details on the helmet - quite accurate! There's a differance between 'Limited/Special edition' And Exclusives. Exclusives are usually Very big, and only sold via Official Lego stores (depends on your country though) And have Numbers starting with 10XXX Limited/Special editions are just normal sets that are sold exclusively though one chain. These have 4 digit Numbers like usual. Confusing, yes - but there is a differance We haven't heard much (anything?) About next years 10XXX Exclusives I don't think Quote

About next years 10XXX Exclusives I don't think My bad, I always associate Exclusives with any set only available from certain stores, I forgot that in this context we're referring to the 5-digit non-UCS sets. We haven't heard anything about those, although it's obvious what everyone wants. Quote

I don't mean to start an argument but was it not I who pointed out several weeks ago it was Razor? Back on topic: These pictures don't change my thoughts of the sets I think just the same of them all. I'm just looking forward to the Prelim summer set Pictures Quote

AoNZ Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Thanks for the pictures nrg Now I can definitely see all the Mandos have jet packs which makes it a great army builder after all Quote
kamigawa Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Wasn't a "big" set confirmed some time ago by a leak or by an official TLC employee? Quote

Wasn't a "big" set confirmed some time ago by a leak or by an official TLC employee? No. It turned out to be a fake. Quote
commanderneyo Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 No. It turned out to be a fake. I think he meant when Greg Hyland hinted at a UCS Set Quote
