Well, the piece count of the shuttle is confirmed, then :hmpf_bad:

I really like the fact that Luminara's legs are printed; her face is great, it doesn't look too much like it's from CW...

Excellent Photos. Thanks for those KDM

I don't see the complaint about the Mandalorian face. It completely matches Pre Vizsla's and he was the only Mandalorian to have his helmet off in Season 2 so they pretty much had to base the Mandalorian face off him :classic:

All I can say is for Rex and the ARF that the gear around Rex Neck and Torso and the Whole ARF Trooper will make it easier for me to make a Custom of this Commander :classic:

Sorry but I can't Deeplink Facebook images so I have to provide links for them :hmpf_bad:

Wow, Shaak-Ti looks horrible. Something about those gigantic white lips that just look...off. Thanks for the link to TRU. Am I crazy or wasn't the T-6 supposed to be $80 US? TRU has it listed for $60! Are they actually lower than marketplace value or did we get the wrong information about the price?

Do you have a source for this? I'm fairly certain that the reason R2-D2's head print was different in the early days is because LEGO could only print one surface of the dome-- the top. The 2x2 dome piece today has several decoration surfaces, just as a minifigure head has three-- the front, the back, and the top.

This is supported by LEGO Digital Designer, where the top print of the modern-style R2-D2 is available, but none of the other surface prints are. The surfaces appear, and if you wanted you could do something really zany and put another decoration on there (for instance, a minifig face or a pizza), but only one decoration that belongs on the 2x2 dome is available. Easy to overlook, of course, because the print cannot be applied with the regular decoration tool and its ID number has to be typed manually into an LXFML to get it onto LDD.

This is also the reason the Buzz Droid's dome pieces had the same perimeters for their decoration as the old-style R2-D2's dome. Today's astromechs, in contrast, have printing that extends almost the entire span of the brick from top stud to base.

Okay, I can't win against an LDD user... the 2x2 dome piece is obviously too large for Artoo's head, and that little strip looks about minifigure scale so that's what I assumed...

Minifigure heads can be printed on top?

:cry_sad: crushed my dream there

As for the face, i think it fits

[snip]

Where have I seen that face before...?

All off the new winter sets are out on Toysrus.com in the US here are the links :classic:

7913 Price: $11.99

7914 Price: $11.99

7915 Price: $19.99

7929 Price: $24.99

7930 Price: $49.99

7931 Price: $59.99

Prices are in USD

$59.99 for less than 400 pieces... with the recent trend, I guess I can't complain too much, but seeing as 7259 ARC-170 cost $40 for about the same number of pieces, I'm expecting a REALLY BIG shuttle. And I mean REALLY BIG.

Printed legs...so sweet

Maybe Lego will start to use them consistently as they do with other themes, they make such a difference

I hope they do not, as printed legs are part of what makes certain minifigures special (like the Boba Fett minifigure in the Cloud City playset, or the stormtroopers in the 7264 Imperial Inspection). Most LEGO minifigures do not have printed legs, and what's more, printing the legs just makes them more expensive. Now, it doesn't really look like a few bounty hunters or a couple of clone troopers are particularly iconic or central to the plot of the new series (especially considering Sugi and Embo have only appeared in two throwaway episodes, one of which stole its plot from a Kurosawa film, and that the Horn Company is neither ARC nor controlled by a particularly major Jedi, for to this day I cannot distinguish Agen Kolar from Eeth Koth). I suppose bomb squad troopers played a fairly crucial role in Ep. 17, but are they really that special?

I was surprised to see them on the TRU US website already... even though I intended to order them from S@H to get the points, I couldn't help myself, and ordered the shuttle, the vwing and the battle of naboo. With expedited shipping, they should be here by Tuesday...

Come on, this can't be real.... already? I must be dreaming

Well in all fairness, the 8088 ARC-170 was 396 pieces for $59.99 as well, so I'm thinking it's increasing prices that's the cause here.

As for the figures, I think Shaak Ti may have pushed me very near to buying the T-6. I'm a big fan of Shaak Ti, and it helps that I've not a single Anakin and Obi-wan minifig yet. Also, for the Battle of Naboo set, the Gungans are beautiful!

I really like that horn company trooper he is absolutely amazing but if some one has the new luminara then they must have the set as well :look:

Rats. :hmpf_bad: They're not available in Canada yet. But I'm glad to hear that the T-6 is $60 ($80 in Canada) and the V-wing is $20 ($27 in Canada).

Yea the prices are great I just hope the UK price for the V-Wing will be in £15-20 range

Wow- these are TRU prices and other than the BPs I don't see any markup. :sweet:

We knew TRU would get them by December, but this is really early.

According to Brickset no one has the Battle For Geonosis set.

Not everyone uses Brickset.

Thanks for the deeplinking, KDM.

I have exactly the same opinion. :classic:

ARC has few pieces more, but here we have for minifigs.

Can't wait for my birthday.

OK, I think they have little ruined Shaak Ti's face with lipps.

Who cares fot that little bit, you have great headgear and rest of the minifig.

It's Shaak Ti.

When you add Saesee Tiin, then this shuttle is really good.

And since I don't have any Anakin or Obi-Wan, in this set I will get 2 core characters + 2 cool minifigures.

I think Shaak-ti and Tinn look fine. A little odd, but I'm not sure how else they could have done their heads. I don't see any problem with her face, she always had rather large lips. I think the Aurra Sing minifig is my favourite though, her expression is perfect :)

But when you CW-ify someone who already looks partly CW with the already huge lips and eyes (or at least the face paint around the eyes), that's going way overboard for a LEGO minifig. Action figure, maybe that's okay, but not a LEGO.

I agree. CW figs were bad enough already, but these new figs are absolutely hideous. Lego did a very nice job with the gungans though. Looking forward to getting that set.

Yeah, it's a shame the figs are Clone Warsy, especially the new Jedi.

If we ever get an Arrest of Palpatine set, do you guys think they'll use the same CW Saesee Tiin? What about Anikan? I wonder if in any new ROTS sets that might come out, if TLG will use the CW figs.

They've begun to pupilize all the classic characters, too, so I wouldn't e surprised. :hmpf_bad:

I second that opinion. I think the '03 Clone Wars were on the right track when they decided to shrink her eyes to dots instead of giving her irises and pupils like the other Jedi. That Shaak Ti minifigure is a bit scary... I was expecting something similar to what we saw in the first LEGO Star Wars video game.

I guess they were going for a Manga/cartoonish look with the bulging eyes and face expressions. I could be wrong, I don't read manga.

Either way, I think that should I get Shaak and Saesee, they'll either be used sparingly or receive face changes. If I get them, since the T-6 doesn't look to be the greatest value.
