Wow! Things have certainly turned around since the crappy pictures of the catalog. The figure selections in these sets are to die for!

Three more new Clone Wars Jedi? Panaka and Padme? Two new Ewoks? A new Watto and Sebulba?

Yes, yes, yes, and yes!

The only problem is that the sets themselves are not so spectacular. I know that they're all prelims and that they'll look better once finalized, but the Sith Infiltrator, Dathomir Speeder, and the Podracers are just ugly or uninteresting vehicles to begin with. Not to mention the Ewok Attach, which will undoubtedly just be some woods stuff with a catapult, which isn't too exciting to me no matter how well LEGO designs it.

The Republic Frigate and Geonosian Fighter are a bit better as ships go, so that's something. Is it just me, or does one of those Clones in the Frigate look like it has new markings? I think my eyes are probably playing tricks on me…

Is it just me, or does one of those Clones in the Frigate look like it has new markings? I think my eyes are probably playing tricks on me…

To me it looks like one is a Normal Clone and the other is a Commander like The Clone Walker Battle Pack and Republic Fighter Tank but these are still Preliminary so hopefully when we get the Complete Pictures they will have Markings

I'm 99% sure that it's a commander with a name, and that he will turn out to have markings.

If he didn't, it would say clone commander, but if you look closely at the text below the figure, you can see it says commander "something". I believe it will be Thire.

Yeah I just noticed that as well. It's probably a Preliminary Mistake as they (To me) look more like AOTC Helmets not CW.

I don't want to boast, but yay Panaka, I got it right!(for once), that's definitely him in the Sith infiltrator.

Thanks for the pictures of course, luckily these are preliminaries cause some things just don't look right yet.

Ewok Attack; The tree/catapult/treelog-launcher looks interesting, but the speederbike simply looks unfinished to me.

Dathomir Speeder; To say it shortly, it looks ugly and dull. Not to keen on the initial version of savage, he looks like a supervillain that would belong to a spiderman or batman set(far too bright and bulky)

Anakin's and Sebulba's podracer; Looks like a good improvement on the 1999 set, especially Sebulba's podracer seems amazing.

Geonosian starfighter; Nice looking ship, nice to get a cheaper Cody, Ki looks like he has got a flesh cone stuck on his head (curious to see a close-up of that). Green Geonosian? an undead version or something, looks a bit strange, I'd settle for a gray'ish version like the old ones.

Sith Infiltrator; PANAKA!!! yay, someone to fill up the old flash speeder, really happy seeing him appear (next Captain Typho hopefully). Maul looks a bit strange to my eye, but that's probably the new horns he has gotten.

Millennium Falcon; Haven't gotten the two previous versions, so finally my third chance to get one. Nothing more to say about it, looks good to me so far.

Republic Frigate; Wasn't to interested in these shrinked size minifigure sets (Venator, ISD, Republic Frigate), but then of course TLG knew we were really waiting for that Quinlan figure and they had to stick him in here. I'm not sure what to think of it now, guess I'll just have to wait and see (damn you TLG, hehe) Can't really make out the third jedi, but as said, likely to be Eeth, nice to have him. (Now it's time to demand Adi Gallia from TLG)

Torn between great sets and the 'mwoh, poor stuff' sets, it's a great year for Minifgures at least. Hopefully they keep 'em all in and will not replace half of them by anakin/ahsoka/...(fill in any character you have plenty of). Guess in the end I'll just have to wait for final pictures and then make my judgment.

Maybe the book just represents armies that are neutral aswell. I guess the Rebellion has probabley had a punch up with a few Ewoks now and again.

Amazing!

They're all must-haves. The Geonosian starfighter comes with Ki Adi-Mundi and Cody! The Dathomir speeder is good since Ventress and some other character is in it. The Ewok set is slightly disappointing because there's only one Scout trooper. Oh well.

The Sith Infiltrator looks a lot bigger now. Slave 1 size, I think. I still can't pass any of them up, though.

I wonder if we'll see Fox in another set? We've had Rex and now Cody in cheaper sets, great as I missed both of them. Hopefully Fox will be next to return, or some other Clones.

Actually, though those are gone, the Star Wars images are still available for a limited time Here. Act quickly though as these are sure to be deleted soon and good luck to those who have yet to see them.

I'm just stating what it looks like in the picture and yeah it Says Commander "Something" Looks a lot like it will be Thire I agree.

That would make sense, since out of the Ambush clones, Thire and Gree became RotS commanders, but Gree became green while Thire stayed red, and we have gotten plenty of red clones in the past.

I actually went over the prices, and if I only get the Clone BP and Battle of Naboo for Wave 1, and skip the MF in Wave 2, this could actually work. Probably won't pick up any Wave 2s until Black Friday 2011, though.

They're probably either Limited Editions, Exclusives, or way off target wild Rumors. Any of those 3 could result in those sets not being in the Catalogue.

UCS sets vary a lot. All I'm hopin for is that they're amazing as this years 2 UCS (Still Dying for a Standard Tie UCS )

The UCS rumors are always much later and usually only surface just before TLG themselves announces the set. This year we got wind of the Shuttle pretty late, and relatively no rumors of the JSF. I'm also crossing my fingers for the TIE/ln, but that's a discussion for another thread.

Plus people, before you go ranting on the new sets, remember that the pics we're seeing are preliminary designs and not final as such.

No need to whine about set or minifig design - they're liable to change more than once before we see them as final products in June 2011.

Just one thing I can say really: 2011 is gonna be an amazing year for minifigs and sets alike.

The new pics look awesome, and Eeth Koth and Ki-Adi-Mundi look amazing! I hope Lego doesn't change them like they did with Quinlan Vos with the T6, but he's back in the Frigate. Savage Opress looks really cool, but I'm not sure about accuracy (never seen s2 or 3 of CW). Captain Panaka looks great, and so does Maul, but the Infiltrator looks a bit too blocky.Sebulba looks kind of wierd, but really cool too. I'm not really suprised at the MF's Minifigs, but overall, looks to be a great wave.

Let me get this straight: Savage Opress (with new Zabrak head mold), Asajj Ventress, and Anakin all in one small, fairly cheap set?

AWESOME.

I do hope Lego takes the effort to update the looks of the figs since the CW characters are getting costume makeovers in Season 3.

I may be more of a CW fan, but Summer 2011 looks set to blow the Winter wave away.
