RileyC Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 commanderneyo I have to ask, what's the point of that picture? We have so many better pictures and don't have an annoying watermark and could've been nice go have some context to the picture not just, found this. Did this happen with the last DK minifig with them having the space but no minifg? I can certainly remember having te silhouette if Luke but was there anything before that? Quote

Delta 38 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Hmm. I'm guessing the exclusive minifig is another ceremonial figure. Perhaps it would be the same ceremonial Luke variant which we got before. New characters altogether seem very unlikely, and it's a shame that transparent minifigs are impossibilities. George Lucas, however, sounds plausible (albeit a little random ). Speaking of Luke, I got Luke's landspeeder (finally!) a couple of months back and noticed his eyebrows were printed low. I also looked at some of those Lukes included with the book and noticed most also had low eyebrows. Is this intentional? The eyebrows do kind of make him look younger, though. Quote

legofett990 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Hi, just thought I'd add my opinion on the prelims for the June 2011 sets :) Millennium Falcon- Looks awesome, just starting my collection back up after a few years off, so aside from the set itself which I'll be getting, it will also be a good way for me to get flesh heros! Podracers- Look to be quite disappointing, smaller and just not as 'wow' as the original set, however great minifigure selection mean I'll most likely end up purchasing it anyway. Sith Infiltrator- Despite some of the negative thoughts towards this set, i think it looks great. Big, reasonably accurate, and with a great minifigure selection. Geonosian Fighter- Probably won't get this one, however looks like a solid set, and Ki Adi Mundi looks amazing! Ewok Attack- Looks a very good set, 3 good minifigs and a great addition to the Endor Bunker. Republic Frigate- Although i won't be getting it, it looks a great set, although not a huge improvement on the 2007 Republic Cruiser, judging by the prelims. All in all looks a fantastic wave with a great minifigure line up Quote
KimT Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 Wow, that book looks great. Thanks djmangunz. Blogged Quote
Ritz Brick Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 To me a ceremony figure would be the only thing that would make sense. Having a new printed Ahsoka as an exclusive fig would just be.... I don't know how much that book is targeted for kids. Quote
R5-N2 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 (edited) I would like a translucent ghost Obi-wan or Vader... But a GL is a good idea too. The suspense is unbearable... Edited January 4, 2011 by R5-N2 Quote
KimT Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 Keep dreamin' Trans-coloured minifigs wont happen. The plastic compound is different from regular colours and they'd break or turn milky-white in the arm pits and leg joints from stress. I do hope they'll make a plastic mix that'll prevent such from happening, but I haven't heard of any such mix yet. Quote
BrickArtist Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 (edited) The Point is some People like Me who haven't been able to get the Sets yet get some Joy out of seeing Another Picture of them Their are reviews up... Sorry OT guys, but we need our accurate phase 2 cody! I just hope he comes while lego is on this leg printing rampage! Edited January 4, 2011 by brickartist Quote

A big posibility is Darth Vader, since he's in the corners of every page. At a second thought I don't think so.. Wat would be great is indeed a queen Amidala. Quote

They could make the figs all blue, with some white texture. That would look pretty accurate. Edited January 4, 2011 by brickartist Quote
KimT Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 The Point is some People like Me who haven't been able to get the Sets yet get some Joy out of seeing Another Picture of them Then why not look in the Gallery? We've got plenty of high resolution pics on flickr and in the gallery here on EB's own server. Plus there's reviews which can be found with a little searching or using the Review Index. You should have been around long enough to know that by now. Quote

I have also seen those Images hosted on Flickr. I have seen those reviews. The reason I posted the picture is it was not in any of the reviews therefore it was a unseen picture so I wanted to show EB Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 They could make the figs all blue, with some white texture. That would look pretty accurate. It would ruin the effect. It's like on the new ARC-170 where the minifig arm is show on a sticker to represent the window- it's just not the same as the transparent window from the old one. Quote
Fives Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 This new book looks very interesting. The exclusive minifig could be anyone. I think it would be more likely to not get a ceremony fig, seeing as this book has nothing to do with the celebration of ten years of LEGO Star Wars. This book, I think, should come with a character we have not seen before ever, like a Queen Amidala or... maybe a Ponda Baba! (he is the Aqualish from ep. 4 that doesn't like Luke, just so you know) Quote

That sticker is a failure, I laughed at how awful it was! I think legos designers could pull something off, that would look pretty good. But not as good as trans. Yes I have seen those pictures in the gallery. I have also seen those Images hosted on Flickr. I have seen those reviews. The reason I posted the picture is it was not in any of the reviews therefore it was a unseen picture so I wanted to show EB The point is that if everyone posted pics of weird angles from 2011s sets, it would be pointless and cluttered. We have tons, and tons of pics already. We don't need more filling up pages. Quote

BrickArtist Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Keep in mind, all we got new last time was a torso. I think TLG is gonna, want to make a cheap, easy, fig. To be mass produced and given away. No new molds. Quote

darkrebellion Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 What about one of the Cantina Band members ? Or in a very dreaming way a totally new Max Rebo ! Quote
BrickArtist Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 What about one of the Cantina Band members ? Or in a very dreaming way a totally new Max Rebo ! possible, yet unlikely. I don't think kids would by a book for a band member. This is just becoming a minifig wishlist now. Quote
legolandia Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I believe there are two versions of Ceremony Luke. White pupils and no white pupils. Which do you have? There is only one version of Ceremony Luke. It's just that in some of the minifigures the paint layers haven't gone on properly and hence have caused the white pupils/ no white pupils variants. Quote
