Dumbfire Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 - Commander Wolfe/ trooper: These new clones' markings look great but can somebody tell me what episode they were in? His main appearances are in "Rising Malevolence" and "R2 Come Home". You can see him with his customized armor around the end in R2 Come home. Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Thank you 'NTF' for those pictures of the comming minifigs......ouch my wallet.....a New Hope MF and dare I say Ep. 1 sets.....yeah, only for the COOL figures.....but I never recall a green Ewok.....maybe that one is sick ? 'NTF' anything else could you share.....please.....if possible of course ? May the brick be with us all ! Quote
Bobskink Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 meeh, those new figures don't look that good when seing them in close up. I understand that lego is trying something new, the compitition is hard, but at least it should be an improvement. Luke his new hair doesn't like his haircut at al. My gues is that it's a new hairpiece they made for an other minifig and just tried it on Luke and thought is was good enough. The new way of putting headextentions on figures, isn't thurning out that great either. The colors aren't matching (I was very diapointed when I god a Shaak Ti today) and the contrast between a regular minifig head and e overly detailed extention is maybe a litle to mush. I don't unserstand why they didn't make a whole head at once, seems easyer and cheaper. It seems that they are working on every part with mush detail and comitment, but fail to see what it gives when all the parts are put togeather. BTW, Wats wrong with Darth Maul's eyes Quote
Emperor Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 .....but I never recall a green Ewok.....maybe that one is sick ? The new figs are simply amazing. It's the best summer ever, quite expensive of course, but absolutely worth it. I'm especially relieved that the Geonosian isn't green; the dark tan is so awesome! Quote
Clone OPatra Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I don't unserstand why they didn't make a whole head at once, seems easyer and cheaper. You'd rather that these figures didn't have normal minifigure heads so that they could be easily used in other figures? That's silly. If it's a choice between a head with an extension and an entire molded head, I'd much rather have the normal head. That way they are still like normal minifigures, and you can use both the top piece and the head for other figures. For characters who have normal human-looking heads that just have something weird instead of hair, I think it works very well. Quote
Tamamono Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 The calendar includes as far as is shown two models of the green Slave One and a LAAT/I in the size of the City calendars fire truck and crane and the figures of Nute Gunray, Chewbacca and three pilots (Rebel, Battle Droid, Clone Trooper TCW Style). Pics of all the other figs are in my photostream: http://www.flickr.co...son/5416164145/ Wow! Thanks for the pics Navy Trooper Fenson! I like the look of the new Naboo Pilot, it's much better than the previous version. The Podracers set is becoming more and more attractive to me every time I see it; the new Sebulba and Watto figs are fantastic, and it's nice to see the Rodian head in another set. I'm not so sure about the Frigate though. Quinlan Vos looks really creepy in CW form, and Eeth Koth's headpiece doesn't match well with his head. The Wolfpack troopers are great, though! (I'll have to get tons of these from bricklink ) I guess I'll be saving money by not buying several Geonosian Starfighter sets. The minifigures in it are . There was a lot of potential for a good Ki-Adi-Mundi, but LEGO totally blew it. One thing I keep noticing is that the green and blue lightsabers have darkened slightly, and become more accurate. Now I can use the neon green one as yellow, and the light blue one as cyan! Quote
pranas Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) Holy cow, these figures for the most part are looking awesome! Well, Eeth Koth's head looks really bad in my opinion, but the rest look fantastic. My bank account is going to be so mad at me this summer. Oh well, maybe I can just put some of the bigger sets on my X-Mas wishlist this year! And thank you so much Navy Trooper Fenson for these pics! Edited February 4, 2011 by pranas Quote
-JD- Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 This is quite possibly the best line up of figures I've ever seen! FANTASTIC job LEGO! The Clones and Jedi are to die for! I am actually lost for words! Quote

I agree these heads should make for some interesting expressions and helmet combos. But the transition just isn't very good. I really wish they'd been molded in hard ABS, as that would probably help, but I know they can't for safety reasons. Quote
KingDom Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I've been having some more looks at the pictures (yes i am obsessed) and those lightsabers are really bugging me. It looks to me that Eeth Koth and Quinlan Vos have darker, maybe even shorter, lightsabre blades the Yodas! It also looks like Darth Mauls might be shorter as well. It could be because of the angles but what do you guys think? Quote
KimT Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 Thanks Navy Trooper Fenson. I've added the new pics to the first post. Feel free to deeplink for now, as there's no 'confidential' or 'prelim' on them. Quote
Fives Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) Oh my god, I've fallen in love! These figs are AMAZING! Finally Qui-Gon has returned way better! Every fig is perfect, except for one... Eeth Koth. Everything is nice about the fig until you get to his headpiece. It works, but needs considerable improvement before release. Maybe this is still a prelim? Anyway, these are just GREAT! EDIT: I made a custom Savage... that spear is identical to what I used. Edited February 4, 2011 by Fives Quote
Fallenangel Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Only pictures of the minifigures? Doesn't anyone care about what the sets look like? Sebulba and Watto don't even look like LEGO... What's up with Ki-Adi Mundi's face? It's creeping me out. On the other hand... is that the classic Scout Trooper torso I see? I must admit, there's no way you would be able to tell that Eeth Koth and Maul were the same species... they don't look alike at all. Quote
Delta 38 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) My brain hurts! Light blue Clones! Gasp! For some reason, I've never seen Clones in that colour before, so it's fairly exciting. And black accessories, too! No picture of Cody, but he might also have black accessories. I'm going to have to buy every single set, by the looks of things. The figures in the Millennium Falcon are kind of old, but I haven't got a "proper" Han Solo or Luke, so I may as well get it if I can. Plus the fact that I don't actually own a Millennium Falcon. Briefly summing up... headpieces are better than expected, there seems to be new lightsaber colours, Geonosian is better, and re-release of old characters is nice. I'm officially going to push Ninjago aside until further notice. Time to submit my bankruptcy application. Edit: Oh yeah, and Savage Opress has an actual armour piece. Nice. Fives Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Also, I know that this is completely off topic but I've been meaning to ask for a while: what is the policy on double posts, like posting and then posting right after your own post. Is this frowned upon? Quote
prateek Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 These are cool. The only complaints I have are Obi-Wan's face (it has the right features, but that smirk is just awkward), Luke's face, the tan Geonosian, and that Quinlan Vos has the same skin tone and face of Eeth Koth Quote
StoutFiles Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) Kim, he took a picture of the Naboo starfighter figs, so you can remove that as a rumor. So I guess there was no Echo base? Did you get close up pictures of the sets at all? Edited February 4, 2011 by StoutFiles Quote

amity498 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 The mini figs look great. looks like I will be purchasing the pod race for certain, also do you have pictures of the product boxes for the second wave by any chance. I really would love to see the naboo fighter Quote

All major shortcomings. I've pretty much decided to pass on the Nantex, so I'm down to Ewok Attack, Scimitar, and the pods, which is probably a good thing. I can stock up on Battle of Naboos instead. Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 So far, the pod racers set is shaping up to be the best of the bunch here, the set itself looked great in the pictures and those minifigs are very nice. I also really love the two new clones. Vos looks great too.. I'm not so keen on the head piece their using for Maul and Savage though, I guess it's nice that they actually have horns but they look a little odd, Maul especially. Quote

I pretty certain it's just the angle that the figures are holding them that are making them look shorter and are the same length as always. Quote
tchuk-norst Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Does anyone else think that Darth Maul looks cross-eyed? Quote
Praiter Yed Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) Great job with the pics there NTF. I'm loving Luke's new hair but young Anakin looks like he's eaten too many pies. I think it's the way his belt curves. EDIT: Does anyone else think that Darth Maul looks cross-eyed? He does look cross-eyed & Qui Gon looks like Billy Ray Cyrus. Harrypotterfreak Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Omg! I need me those Ewoks and Padme and Darth Maul!!!!!!!! Those look great! Quote
