djmangunz Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Not to disagree with you, but look at the T-6 shuttle. It says Anakin on the box but we see Vos above. And no one seems to be disputing that fact now. But I do see what you are saying. Quote

The 'newer' figure list replacing Anakin with Vos might be the updated prelim pic. Maybe TLG decided to put in another new jedi to possibly attract more buyers for the T-6 shuttle. Quote
Cloney Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I think there are 8 battle droids and 2 pilot droids for the battle of naboo. video There are definately over 6 though... Thought you guys might like the video...better pics. :) Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Lego are smart and cheeky......if commando's are the most popular.....then they'll say buy more battle packs to get your commando's. But kids do custom their figures sometimes....swapping legs, arms, etc., but still pitty Lego just does release a commando pack. Aw well, I'm a conformist! everyone ! Quote
Pre Visla Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 (edited) The new sets look great! I do have a couple of concerns, though. The fact that the bomb squad trooper only has one orange arm bothers me. Same with the other bomb squad trooper who look like he does not have complete painting on his helmet. Also, lack of jetpacks concern me too. But, they are preliminary. First Post by the way! After looking at the pics again, I noticed on the box of the Battle of Naboo that Jar Jar does not appear in the box. It looks like the chief gungan (Not Boss Nass) from TPM. Also, how come Jar Jar has eyes and the other soldier doesn't. Does anyone else notice this. Edited August 27, 2010 by Pre Visla Quote

Interesting observation, I noticed that too earlier but did not bother to check out how the real Bomb Squad Troopers look like. But after checking it out, it seems they should have two orange arms (see below). But that's something TLG can easily fix in the final version. Yes Jar-Jar has eye prints while the generic Gungan has none. BTW, that is still your first post. Quote

Thanks for noticing, I didn't want to be making false aclamations on my first day The Mandalorians do have jetpacks. Note: I said lack of. Not there is no jetpacks. It appears that not all four troops (My men ) have jetpacks. Sorry if I sound rude. Quote
Delta 38 Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 (edited) Does the assassin droid have printing, or a sticker? Looks like there are some orange eyes on the top part. I can also see that there are three parts to the Mandalorian battle pack. There's a turret, a speeder thing, and a strange boxy thing in the back which might be another turret (but a different type). Edit: oops! Forgot that these are prelims. And yes, I just realised that one of the arms isn't actually orange. I didn't really notice it from the image, but if I was looking closely I would easily notice that. I've just noticed the helmet printing difference, too! I didn't catch either the first time around. Although the arms are a bit of a problem, the helmet differences are good for me. It makes them more unique. Edited August 27, 2010 by Delta 38 Deleted confidential pictures Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 As I write this I'm watching an episode from series 2 of CW and it features both the upcomming Halo and Jedi Shuttle......but in the latter contained......Anakin, Obi Wan and Ahsoka...not the ones it's comming with. But I guess since Anakin and/or Ahsoka is in every third set just about, some different Jedi's are better bet. In said episode the Jedi and bounty hunters team up to save a village from our old friend Hondo ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Rinconstar Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I think the thing in the back is a cart that is being pulled by the speeder. Quote

Yep that was the episode from which the Bounty Hunter Gunship set was based on - where Sugi, Embo, and Halo made their first appearance in the series. Still the only odd thing is the inclusion of Aurra in the set, which is a nice but random addition once again. Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Well it's a pity that gunship didn't come out of the farmers barn and directly took on Hondo's pirate tank though - that might have been the end of Hondo. And that Jedi shuttle is very interesting operating both in vertical and horizontal phase with it's giant wings. I'm a conformist! ! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 And that Jedi shuttle is very interesting operating both in vertical and horizontal phase with it's giant wings. I'm a conformist! ! The functionality of the wings of the T-6 shuttle somehow makes-up for the rather plain appearance of the ship. Btw, that's the second appearance of Halo in the series, the first one in the Children of the Force episode where Mace, Obi-Wan, Bane and Cody were in the ship. Quote

TheBrickHitHouse Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Oh those figs are just...it's like a dream love all the sets, sure they are 'low profile', but they look full of play features, this will be a great fun opening wave for 2011 really excited about the battle droid carrier - I always need more troops to fight the Jedi! Only gripe - I want an actual clone commando, I like the green clone but hope this doesn't mean we won't get an actual commando later and the mando's need jet packs!! Oh, and an imperial v wing is obscure even by Lego standards! Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 The end of Hondo no he cant he's one of the reasons I watch that show! Don't panic.....he flew off in his giant space ship ! I'm scratching my head a little on this......why are some of the forthcomming sets totally based around an episode i.e. the bounty hunter Halo gunship but the Jedi shuttle just seem to have a Jedi-all-sorts feel about....like lets throw this odd Jedi or three in for good measure. I wonder what Mr Lucas thinks about these new sets eh ? I'm a conformist! ! Quote
mayIbewiththeFORCE Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Being a fan of the OT and PT I'm most excited about Jar Jar's makeover, Aurra Sing although she only has about 30 seconds in the PT, and Saesee Tin and Shaak Ti I just hope that they dont get the CW style faces. I see Saesee has a CW style face right now but like a lot of the minifigs I see TLG isn't done designing them yet. I wanna see more makeovers Jar Jar looks awesome but Jabba needs a new look bad hopefully he comes in the next wave. Fingers crossed. Quote

Maybe in the 100-200 dollar price range. I know that is pricy but there would be pretty outstanding detail and tons of mini's too. (Including Jabba, I mean it's his palace) Quote

Forresto Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I am deffinantly buying two of the attack on Naboo especially since it comes with 7 BDs and two pilots. That would be 14 BDs and 4 pilots for two which is a pretty decent deal fo building an army. Quote
