Its not impossible for a Saesee Tiin starfighter to be made however we can tell from this image that he will be in some sort of space battle soon in an upcoming CW Episode.

Darn, I was hoping it'd be the green-and-yellow one as seen here... why do these guys like the Delta-7B so much? Isn't it time the Eta-2 made its appearance? (They've already retconned the Venator, ARC-170, and AT-RT into this time period anyway...)

CW-style faces will only appear in CW sets.

Well, at least that's what we all hope...

General Magma, what progress on your X-wing?

I don't think any starfighters have appeared in the show lately, other than Obi-wan's, but they've just done a big UCS version of that.

I know this is probably what you meant, but I can't help pointing out that 10215 was the original Delta-7 from Clones while the version in the '08 series is the distorted version known as the Delta-7B.

I was just on Brickipedia, and they have a page for the rumoured Echo Base set. Apparantly is is slated for release in October and will be the biggest Echo Base yet. I wasn't sure if this info had been shared, so I decided I would share it anyway.

I checked it out...it is now said to be the smallest echo base yet.

Brickipedia is a source anyone can edit, so it's a source that can't be trusted, UNLESS there is cited material to back up the claims.

Well, it said that the info originally came from Brickset.

I just checked Brickset and all it had was the set number and name. It says "this set has not been released" and that is all (besides random people posting what they want to be in the set), so I'm not sure how reliable this info is regrettably.

Yeah. I'd assume Brickset was cited because of the set number. I remember that's where the set number and name first originated.

This rumoured Hoth Base set might it be a Comic-Con release.....because it wouldn't be a smaller than last set and have more detail, I own the 2007 set and it was a 99 buck AU TRU exclusive...some giant doors, a snowspeeder and some control panels....the next one must be bigger. The question is what might it contain ?

Keep on wishing everyone ! :classic:

I'm expecting a build similar to Home One. A room on the left with the control room and the med bay...the room on the right will be the hangar bay with a snowspeeder. Just my thoughts.

Of course, given the way TLG remakes sets, they'll just greeble the '07 set, throw in some new minifigs, and call it a day.

They didn't retcon it, the show is just progressing through the time line quite steadily. We've even begun seeing the phase-II armour (currently as advanced prototype gear, only worn by the arc troopers) and of course Anakin and Obi-wan wearing robes, rather than the armor and Ahsoka looking noticeably older. Like I said on the last page, it's pretty likely we'll see eta-2's in the next season. They probably just want to get as much mileage out of the current starfighters as possible.

As for why they're popular.. Cheap, easy to repackage as a "new" set, and they come with some major characters as well as providing a space ship for kids to play with. I understand why collectors might be getting sick of them but it's also easy to see why they're so appealing to more casual lego fans/younger kids.

EDIT: Just noticed, Commander Cody's helmet is misprinted in the pic

The Cody I have already is misprinted that way too. :cry_sad:

I'm sure this has all been brought up before, but I really am rather disappointed with the new Qui-Gon face. The original was one of the few faces from the first batch of LEGO Star Wars that actually captured the actor's look brilliantly. The new Obi-Wan face is brilliant--it looks a lot like Ewan McGregor--but that makes the new Qui-Gon face that much more disappointing; particularly since his old face in flesh costs so much on BL.

I also question the figure choice in the podracing set. Anakin, Watto, Wald, and Sebulba are great, but the Mos Espa Podrace set of 1999 gave us Qui-Gon, Padme, and Jar Jar--all of whom were in that scene in the movie. In this one we get Obi-Wan, who wasn't even there. Shmi would have been nice. Nevertheless, the podracers set is beautiful, and I think I'm going to try to save up for it.

It looks like Yoda is holding a hologram of darth sidious!

True, that is strange. Maybe it's supposed to be a generic Jedi? :sceptic:

At least it will be useful for Order 66 MOCs! :classic:

I love the designs of almost all the new sets and especially the figs! LEGO's detail on it's Star Wars minifigs is getting much more focused and much more pleasing!

Wow, those Clones have great printing. I didn't notice the actual detail in their helmet.

I've finally realised the scale of those Podracers. I imagine them to cost around the same price as the Frigate, but I think I'll put them above the Frigate for now.

I just saw the gold 4L bars on Sebula's Podracer. Kinda pointless, but I'll take them!

BTW, Brickdoctor, don't you mean Quinlan Vos is a s ugly as ever?

And it seems the Wolfpack trooper is wearing a printed backpack piece of some sort.

Thanks for posting the link, prateek

The pics are great.

It's certainly interesting that Yoda is holding a hologram of Darth Sidious, but it will definitely come in handy

Edit: It seems the Clones are differentiated now as well, as Wolffe seems to have different printing on his helmet and (like prateek mentioned) the Wolfpack trooper seems to be carrying a printed backpack :sweet:

The misprint on Commander Cody is really bad... It's a good thing I already have a Cody. I'll be buying the set for the vehicle and Ki-Adi Mundi anyway

Thanks again!

Regard,

Mitch

Thanks for the new pics, prateek! Eeth is looking as ugly as ever.

Did you really expect them both to be thoroughly transformed into good-looking figs, or do you just like complaining about it?

And it seems the Wolfpack trooper is wearing a printed backpack piece of some sort.

Is it not just a jetpack? I thought he had one at the Toy Fair.

And if by 'printed' you mean that grill pattern, I think that's just on the helmet.

Thanks for the pics, prateek! :sweet:

Well, Vos could've just stayed the same as he was in the preliminary T-6 picture.
