Blackknight112 Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Hey, that's pretty cool. Reminds me of a Halo Falcon or Hornet. This isn't actually canon, though, is it? I think lego just made the ship up. Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I found a picture on Flickr which might just interest some of you ! Now we can get back to talking about 2011 stuff again ! The person who took the photo was at the Melbourne toy fair in the last day or so. Enjoy ! Quote
Blackknight112 Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Still think the interior of the mf is lame. Lego could have done a much better job for that price level. I think the podracers and the geonosian starfighter are the only sets worth picking up. Althought the prices are just insane high. Quote
Emperor Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Surely you must be joking. I'm not joking. In real life this model looks much better than it does on pictures; the design isn't great, that's true, but I don't think it is much worse than other TLG designs. The price is high, but you get 2 completely new molds and the pieces are quite big; you can't compare the piece count of sets like the venator, which consisted mainly of technic parts, to the count of sets which consist of plates and nearly no technic at all. The interior of the falcon is disappointing, but at least there is plenty of space for modifications; the interior isn't that important anyway, I think most of the time the falcon will be displayed closed Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Still think the interior of the mf is lame. Lego could have done a much better job for that price level. It's still the most thorough interior job of any stock MF to date. Can't say I like it, either, but it's an improvement. Quote

Fives Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 DarthR2-D2, nice! That is the sort of deal you don't pass on! The new MF looks great because the only version I have is the 2000 one, so this is a pretty big improvement. Also, you gotta love that new Luke hair! Quote
prateek Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Oh, man, this MF is a piece of junk. The old one had a way better interior. This looks like the inside of a City Police set. Quote

BrickArtist Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I wish EB had a *like* button like facebook. Anyway *like* Ehh, when do we stop being a lego site, and become a networking site? Anyways, the MF isn't that bad IMO. An interior MOD isn't that hard to pull off. Quote

Well I dont exepect a set to be perfect, its a toy. And its Lego so we can always Mod it or build our own version. But I still think at some prices (mf, etc.) Lego could do a better job. And once they will realize it is not all about the figs. Edited March 11, 2011 by Blackknight112 Quote

Delta 38 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I found a picture on Flickr which might just interest some of you ! Hmm, that looks... I don't even know what to make of it. Quote
BrickArtist Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Just Flail it and it should be all right... Yup, there are some sort of fundamental things that come to mind, like for instance the area where the backside of a plate is exposed, I'd flip the studs, and greeble Guys, to be honest I'm glad TLG isn't making these models flawless. To me modding them to perfection is part of the fun. If TLG did everything perfectly, comments on a ton of MOCs would become "Cool! But I think I'll stick with TLGs" Quote
sok117 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Anyone else think that those pieces connecting the flaps to the base of the ship look new? Like a new variation of the old piece. Quote
Fallenangel Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Hmm, that looks... I don't even know what to make of it. Yeah, what's Vader doing on the Falcon? Anyone else think that those pieces connecting the flaps to the base of the ship look new? Like a new variation of the old piece. They look like the same old trapdoors to me. Quote
ADHO15 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 They look like the same old trapdoors to me. I think they're actually the newer version of the trapdoor (92099). Quote
TheBrickHitHouse Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 The falcon's interior is dissapointing, but - it's bigger and far easier to mod. The last system model had quite a cluttered interior with the elements maintaining the circular frame really getting in the way. Looking forward to this set and despite this clearly not being the best summer wave, I plan to get all of the sets Quote
BrickArtist Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 link removed Bah, spammers. Just so you know this is not a place to promote your web-page. Quote
Mr Man Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Not a very good webpage at that . If I do get the Falcon it will be for parts, and figs, not to keep. I'm I the only one who doesn't like the new Luke hair, He looks too much like a surfer IMO , I think the blond Malfoy hair was better for him. And what is doing there? Quote

Thank you thank you thank you, finally someone else asked why Vader is there... Was he even on the ship at all? ( but you all know he is going to be on it in the Clone Wars(As Anakin) because that is what they do(and you can see it in Ep 3 so it could happen)) And yes Luke's hair makes him look like a surfer (which I personally hate) POST #100 FINALLY!!! Fives Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I don't know why everyone is so upset about the new Luke hair. It looks great. I think it is way better than the girl hair from the Landspeeder set and better than the Collectable Minifig series 2 surfer hair, because it makes him look like Justin Bieber with a lightsaber. As for Vader being in the MF, why not put Vader in the MF. I know it may not be completely accurate, but it gives the set a bad guy so kids will have someone for the heroes to fight. Also, Vader is just plain badass! Quote
