I don't know why everyone is so upset about the new Luke hair. It looks great. I think it is way better than the girl hair from the Landspeeder set and better than the Collectable Minifig series 2 surfer hair, because it makes him look like Justin Bieber with a lightsaber.

As for Vader being in the MF, why not put Vader in the MF. I know it may not be completely accurate, but it gives the set a bad guy so kids will have someone for the heroes to fight. Also, Vader is just plain badass!

Yea, and the last Vader (Unless I'm mistaken) was in his TIE Fighter, 3-4 waves ago. He's overdue for a visit. But I dunno, I kind of would have preferred R2 and 3P0.

I like this MF. It looks fairly good, and we've been needing one. I'm sick of missing out on every last MF. I'm getting this one. And I shall enjoy it!

Luke's hair, I love. It fits him perfectly, and has a hundred thousand other uses. Leia's hair...meh. I would've been happy with a dark brown version of her old hair. But this one's okay. And thank god. I don't have a single Chewbacca. I have a Wookie Warrior, but no Chewbacca. It's kind of sad.

Well Vader being with the MF, it's the scene in ANH where Vader cuts through Obi Wan and Luke screams NO !

Some how I feel the droids got on board real quick before the shooting started.

Now a real downer ones other photos from the Melbourne toy fair showed the starwars figures...many in prototype stage...some even faceless. Man, Oz always gets the raw end of the stick ! :hmpf:

Anyway, I'm going to try and catch up with a Lego dealer today who went to the toy fair....a little Q & A !

If I find out anything new.....I'll post it.

Brick On !

Please calm down; your post is hard to read. You can discuss Jedi in the Culture & Multimedia subforum. So how exactly does Vader "[see] the way of the Jedi"? Chucking the Emperor down a chute just confirms what he said in Empire about wanting to rule the galaxy with Luke.

You watched them in the wrong order; Jedi is the third film, Sith the last. If you watch them in "chronological" order much of the magic of the Original Trilogy is lost and you're stuck with all this garbage about midi-chlorians and the Chosen One.

While it's certainly not a SCREAMING issue to me, I do in fact think that the Scimitar should be a very smooth ship just like everything else in Menace. The Scimitar isn't exactly the most beat-up ship in the saga; on the contrary, it's rather clean. I suppose that the studs on the nose do detract from that, but it's LEGO so I'm not too concerned. A SNOT nose would have been quite interesting though.

The N-1 is a confirmed set; it's just that for whatever reason we haven't seen pictures of the actual ship, just the minifigures.

I dont see how my post is hard to read at the least. Its better than having to read my hideous, second grade level hand writing. Anyway true he didnt see the way of the jedi I just stop thinking sometimes. I just cant keep my words from stopping, they seem to role, wrole, rowl (I cant spell that word!) out.

Acually I find that I watched episode 1, then 2, then 3, then4, then 5, then 6. I see that they werent all made at the same time and episode 4 appears to be the first made I find it so much better to watch them as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 than to jumble them all up. If I had watched the movie incorrectly than it wouldnt have made sense to me, I find the story easyer to start with episode 1.

Anyway thank you on the information on the naboo starfighter, I was wondering about that a bit. Im hoping it has chrome parts even though I dought I will buy it but just think of all the little happy LEGO/ Star Wars fans that will squel in happyness and dig money out of their piggy banks.

And what exactly is the whole like ship thing or what, I dont understand a thing about that (Considering I dont know every little bit of the movie).

I like the new Luke hair. It's much better than that out-dated female hair, that doesn't even look like his hair.

I think Han should have the new generic male hair in brown, because I think that the classic male hairpiece just doesn't fit in with the evolving LEGO Star Wars world.

I don't mind Leia's new hair, but I don't know why they made an unnecessary new hairpiece, but couldn't even give her a new face-print. She has PoP's Tamina's head (same for Padme who has Hermione's face).

I'm not as much upset about the Han hair as I am with his torso. Its a great torso, don't get me wrong, and we've had from the start, but I was hoping for something fresh, like the Han's from 2010. It would have been great if he had a new front and back print on the torso (I'm pretty sure the back on han's vest has some sort of... thing on it  ). I also think that that hair is just so Han. I tried the new generic male hair on one of my Han's and it just wasn't right. Also, Han should have had a new pistol, not a Stormtrooper blaster.

Agreed on every point. Han's hair is the best the old way, and his blaster should be a pistol. And most of all, he needs a new torso. Back printing used o be so rare, but it seems to have gotten fairly cheap, as they're using it a lot now. As such, i think they should start re-releasing figs with back printing.

Exactly. I'm also quite upset that Chewie's eyes are still... well... not really there. They are just two brown gaps. Even two little black dots would be nice. It looks like Salacious Crumb did to him what he did to 3P0!

They just seem to be doing the wrong changes, from a fanboy point of vieuw and from a this really needs an update point of vieuw.

It's to bad, I just hope that the salesnumbers will prove them wrong.

Well you cant expext LEGO to make a new face for every person every time. But I have to say I do agree with the fact that licenced themes could use new faces. But... then again if LEGO used that face on her before and it fits, I dont see any reason for them to make a new one.

Leias new hair peice is a bit unsensible. I guess LEGO has either gone crazy with making new molds thinking everything they once did isnt good anymore, or they simply dont like the old hair peice anymore. Maybe the new one is more accurate, dunno.

I like Lukes hair a lot. LEGO has used the original "Gentle Man hair" as I like to call it on him sometimes and other times the girl hair so that was a big diosappointment.

I agree with people that its time for LEGO to trash Han's Gentle man hair and get a new hair due.

As for Han's hair, like I said before, it should stay the same. It is his torso that needs a makeover.

They will just redo Han's hair next year, from a commercial point of vieuw I think it's not smart to change them all and put them togeather in one set.

Next year, a new Han, in a new big pricy set.

It's an easy strategy and they did it multiple times so far, new versions were almost always introduced with € +100 sets (mostly a Millenium falcon).

Thank you thank you thank you, finally someone else asked why Vader is there... Was he even on the ship at all?

Actually, I was the first to mention it.

As for Vader being in the MF, why not put Vader in the MF. I know it may not be completely accurate, but it gives the set a bad guy so kids will have someone for the heroes to fight. Also, Vader is just plain badass!

Because the more minifigures there are in a set, the less effort put into the actual ship. And this Falcon looks like garbage.

As a second language, I find that English is easier to read when it’s written with proper capitalization, spelling and punctuation, as do the moderators. In your post I saw frequent lapses in capitalization and punctuation as well as several misspelled words, not to mention excessive use of exclamation points. Now, if you weren't a native English speaker, I would be a bit more lenient, but surely anyone learning English would remember at least once to use apostrophes in their contractions. I mean, contractions are used in English all the time!

Acually I find that I watched episode 1, then 2, then 3, then4, then 5, then 6. They’re not “jumbled up”; the Original Trilogy is a story in itself and the Prequels were just a kind of optional backstory for the Star Wars nerds who wanted more stuff to collect. To watch the movies “correctly” would be to watch the Original Trilogy and not watch the Prequels at all.

Episode I was just terrible. Nothing makes any sense in that movie and nobody explains anything.

And what exactly is the whole like ship thing or what, I dont understand a thing about that (Considering I dont know every little bit of the movie).

Huh?

Hmm. While I'm not a fan of Luke's current hair (was it even like that in the movies?), I don't like his new hair too much either. It's too flat, I think. Maybe Han's hair can be changed to that one we're currently seeing in City sets, the "rougher" version with the similar shape.

I still can't figure out exactly what the interior is meant to be showing.

Personally, I think the hair thing is the one part of the minifig that I can accept an update every time. Because new hairs are something you can't ever have too many of, and you can always revert to classic hair if you want to. A lot of times I don't like the new hair on that particular minifig, but it'll look great on one of my other minifigs. I have CW Obi-Wan hair on Sith Obi-Wan, Dastan hair on Sith Anakin, and the hair from the Small Car on Han, all of which look terrific. But maybe that's just because I have enough classic hairs to afford to mix and match like that.

better than the Collectable Minifig series 2 surfer hair, because it makes him look like Justin Bieber with a lightsaber.

I'm going to have nightmares of that.

Because you tossed excessive punctuation and capitalization everywhere. We don't need eleventy bajillion exclamation marks just to know you're excited. That's what emoticons are for.

Agh, The next special edition will be "Return of the Bieber". And before you know it, SW will get extraordinarily high ratings amongst teenage girls.... :cry_sad:

Yeah me neither, its okay. Not the best, but I don't see it as the worst of the 6.

But now I have to go off at you for something. You seem to have misspelled the word sense, As you can see by my title, I am the most qualified to correct you. A member of Eurobricks, and a dear friend of mine ( ) has pointed out to me before that that is the British way of spelling it, but seeing as how your from Canada, I expected better from you...

oh, and you spelled absolutely wrong too!

Indeed.

Okay, I may have been exaggerating a bit.

I guess compared to Clones it was all right.

That would be nice.

I actually liked Clones better. The Battle of Geonosis was better than the Battle of Naboo, and those are the only two scenes I'll watch. Though I'm not sure if "I love you because you aren't like sand" is any better than "I have a crush on you *whinewhine* I want my mommy! *whinewhine*"

I swear, he does it on purpose.

But let's get back on topic.

Ok, I must have totally missed this whole thing on how TPM is bad. I understand that there are fans who are OT fans only and fans who are PT fans only. But, how can you compare the two trilogies?

The OT is, irrefutably, the best. But, the PT is good in its own right. It's like trying to compare apples to oranges. I am the sort of Star Wars fan that accepts everything that George Lucas makes. By far, OT is a WAY better story, but PT... its just... on a different scale. A lower scale. I'm rambling, but I guess all I'm saying is that OT and PT can't be compared because they are just so different.

Anyway, this is profoundly off topic, so...

Where's that "Cultures and Multimedia" forum that was referred to several pages ago? I was just wondering, sorry about being random. But I cannot find it anywhere.

Yeah, Clones was the weakest of the bunch in my opinion. There wasn't really ahything extraordinary, and those scenes on Naboo just made me sad.

I guess I should have said 'compared to Hayden and Natalie's acting in Clones'.

Here it is.

I am the sort of Star Wars fan that accepts everything that George Lucas makes.

   And I suppose Grievous getting surgery because he wanted to be a Jedi and Durge being Human are good stories in their own right too. Lucas is pretty much struggling to take control of his own universe at this point.

You probably want this thread.

So... does anyone else think it's ridiculous that the droids are not included with the new Falcon?

When did that happen?

BTW, I was catching up on CW to see what everyone was talking about by reading the Wookieepedia entries, and they just retconned basically the whole background of the Coruscant Nights series by killing off Even Piell in the latest episode.

Oh good, now we can get back on topic (hint hint). I do. This is the ship that needs all of the classic heroes. They've all played important parts on that ship.
