Fives Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Is the republic frigate going to include 2 wolfpack troopers AND commander wolf, or just one WP trooper. I believe it is just one WP trooper and then Commander Wolffe. Quote
ADHO15 Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 (edited) EDIT: Also in Hasbro's Clone Wars figure of Wolffe he has a cybernetic eye so I hope the Lego version does as well. http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=197327970295685&set=pu.183834478311701&theater That's a good point! I hadn't considered that the LEGO version could have his cybernetic eye! Ooh, I hope so! If we see him with his helmet off in TCW Season 3, finale TLG is more likely to be as accurate as possible with the fig. I don't want the set, but I want the four new figs. lego wonkyeye Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Always check the first post of this topic ALWAYS! Yeah sorry about that, I just thought that a few people were saying that there would be 2 troopers. Quote
Piranha Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Thought I would chime in, I have been taking a hiatus in this forum since CW sets came out I am sorry but I will never accept them! Three new moderators only one I have ever heard of Now to the only good set the new Millennium Falcon I love it! I love rehashed sets especially ones that I never had a chance to get! This will be my first MF and is a badly needed update of perhaps the most iconic SW ship. Sure we had the UCS and a Midi scale but those are irrelevant. This is the first SYSTEM scale since 2004. I read the gripes on flickr (Brickset Toy fair one) and sometimes they are funny and some are really annoying . The bottom is as mentioned unfinished But nothing you can't fix yourself, the beauty of LEGO. One of the more constructive gallery comments was that just like the MF from the movie it is up to you to mod it just like Han and Chewie. The mandibles are also a bit short. However I love the secret smuggling compartments The sleeping area is a very nice touch as is the little control room. However I don't like the hyper drive engine the one from 2004 being much superior. The cockpit I was disappointed because again only 1 fig is meant to sit, now I am not asking for all 4 but at least 2 would be nice. It looks like a plate or so could make it able to sit two. Mod there. Onto the minifig selection, Death Star escape cast obviously and I don't mind but they could have done a cloud city or DS2 version. The new Leia is meh. Same goes for Luke, I will have to try the surfers hair as I think that should be the most accurate. Nice to have Han, Obi and Vader, but no R2 or C3P0?? The price is extremely overpriced by about $40 with the recent trend with SW though not surprising. TRU Sale anyone? They should have at least gave us R2 and C3P0 plus a little duel/cargo area for Vader and Obi. I know it would be filler stuff but hey watch it I like the little filler stuff Must squeeze as much bricks out of Lucas as I can Overall though I am excited for it and will give me an opportunity to purchase my first MF. Black Friday half off maybe like the 2004 one? The new rumored Echo Base set I will wait for pictures what will it be though possible? Hopefully not a remake of the 2007 base (which I got as a gift and would not have paid $60 for.) And no it better not have a K3P0 Off Target but later in the year please let there be a new cloud city playset with loads of exclusive figs like a new Lando, new boba but in cloud city printed gear Quote
Fallenangel Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Wow, so many emoticons! The cockpit can seat two. You just need some extra pieces. Quote

Diggydoes Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 just found something interesting on the page of a german retailer (www.colludo.de). the already offer all summer-wave sets (of course they deliver them by aug.)! i know the pic is kinda blurry but so far i haven´t seen it somewhere else! Quote
Fallenangel Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Hooray, new droideka! (It's a little weird, but it's an improvement over the last one.) Not quite skeletal enough if you ask me, but at least it's got articulated legs. I'm not surprised by the similarity in design to 7660 (X-wing of the Prequels, indeed) but it's interesting to see that they've included a stand of some sort. And that blue thing looks a lot like one of the carts in the Yavin IV hangar... Of the changes I can see, the clear cockpit piece is a step in the right direction. And are those new slopes in the front? I suppose this would a nice set for anyone who feels they missed out on 7660. I'm thinking about $40. Quote
Diggydoes Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I'm not sure but do i see handcuffs on that naboo pilot/mechanic? Quote
lego wonkyeye Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Yes they look like handcuffs, probably representing when all the Naboo pilots are capturted in the Naboo hangar in episode one. Thanks for the pic! Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 So finally we seethe new Naboo Starfighter......looks the same as the last one which I have....not really much into PT sets though. Though the Naboo pilot and new droideka are a nice addition.....I'll still pass on this one. May the brick be with you ! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 It's nice to finally see a photo of the upcoming Naboo Starfighter set, thanks for sharing this Diggydoes! I agree the droideka is a significant upgrade of the previous versions, and that this is the perfect way for those who've missed the previous sets to get their hands on some N-1s. I just wish TLG could've given us the correct chrome color for the grey parts, I know it would be more expensive but I wouldn't mind paying a few more dollars just to get an accurate and cool-looking chomed N-1. Quote
Mr Man Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 (edited) Arrg that new droideka is horrible , how come TLG cannot get the droideka right. The N-1 is a no from me, some good parts but in yellow, and the blue cart looks out of place, maybe if it was yellow or grey it would look better, on the other hand the N-1 is better than the last 3 attempts, maybe (just wishful thinking) it could be improved with the chrome parts from the UCS one. All in all its still an no from me (except from the new OOM security battle droids) Edited March 16, 2011 by Mr Man Quote
Supersonic Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 The fighter and the figs look great, let's just hope the price isn't too high. It shouldn't cost more than 30-35 dollars (considering that you pay 30 for the Geonosian Fighter which includes two new molds), but as it's an exclusive set, I'm afraid it could be a lot higher. Quote
Fives Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I'm glad they fixed the destroyer droid! The last one was just too big. This one still looks big, but with those moveable legs, it should be able to be put in a rolling position, like the first one. As for the set itself, pretty much the same as the last one, but I'll still get it. Quote

Quote
Cad Bane Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Hoorayfor pics! This looks pretty similar to the old one without too many obvious improvements. I nice that we get an okay doriodeka, but it's not great. I think I'll have to pass on this set anyway. By the way does anyone else think that the blue cart had flick-fire missiles? I think that I see them, but I hope that I'm mistaken. Why does a work cart need missiles?? Lego will always find a way to get them into a set... Quote
Emperor Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Great fighter, great 'figs, terrible price - I really hate it how TLG puts exclusive minifigs into sets just to be able to make it more expensive - there aren't any new molds or pieces in this set, so I don't understand why it costs 50 €... It is a pity, I really like the N-1 and since I didn't get 7660, I would very much like to get one now, but at that price I guess I'll just have to buy a used 7660... the droideka looks awkward anyway. It costs 50 because they can get away with it. The movie early next year will just be free advertising. Even so, while my initial thought was 50 (comparable piece count and figures to the X-Wing) even I though TLG wouldn't raise this above 40. Oh well. Quote

At the price 7660 goes for on bricklink you're probably better off building your own. 7660 is too big anyway. Quote
Lance Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I found a picture on Flickr which might just interest some of you ! Now we can get back to talking about 2011 stuff again ! The person who took the photo was at the Melbourne toy fair in the last day or so. Enjoy ! Why is vader standing in the MF? Is he suicidal or what? I think the naboo fighter will be the same as he 2007 one with new decals and new figures. Quote
Emperor Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I think the naboo fighter will be the same as he 2007 one with new decals and new figures. This sounds as if you had missed the new pic Diggydoes found; while it is correct that the fighter is nearly the same as the '07 one with some yellow decals on the grey slopes, there are also the new Droideka and the hangar vehicle. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 The droideka is an improvement over '07's model, but it's still terribly oversized. The fighter itself is okay, I guess; I already have 7660 and this is basically the same thing except the front-middle light bley slopes have been replaced with a newer variety. Quote
Lance Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I'm not quite sure about the droideka It looks somewhat wierd and oversized. If the fighter has missles, then thats different Quote
