Tamamono Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 I doubt the are, seeing as they are built out of a bunch of normal LEGO parts and no unique minifig parts. Like, the first set they appeared in had two of them and Obi-Wan, and that was the set! You mean this? Yeah, that was a pretty amazing set. I regret not buying four or five now, considering that it was only $7 USD for two Droidekas. Quote

I vote UCS Jabba's Palace We need a rancor DKGreen Garmareans and some twi'leck dancers (we got the head piece) max rebo (we got the elephant ears) It needs to have alot of Minifigs with it ~10+ dang it Quote
Ritz Brick Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 All these hopeful Minifigures seems very unrealistic to get in Jabba's Palace. If this set ever does come into fruition. We're going to get Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, 3P0, R2 redesigned Jabba and probably Bib. and also some weird brick built Rancor. You're either going to pay $200 for a poorly buiilt palace with a lot of figs or a $100 set with good building and a few figs. Max Rebo and the dancers were hardly even important characters in the movie. So I don't see why they would be created. I'm like the generic torso of the Naboo pilot some possibilities of making a couple more Naboo guards. Quote
The Legonater Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 It would seem to me that the only two sets we're missing is the UCS and the midi. We still haven't seen pics of the Hoth set, so chances are it's false. And where's the April 1st rumor for this year? Or is that still to come? Quote

Well, the entire forum is pink now with the release of the Hello Kitty line. I thought it was a huge joke, but it is real. Quote
Bricks2000 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 (edited) sob sob, all this news or system sets yet still no clue as to the UCS set this year, still no news is good news and it must be something special! We'll just have to wait then. Well, the entire forum is pink now with the release of the Hello Kitty line. I thought it was a huge joke, but it is real. At least I'm safe in the Star Wars forums. Definately "April's Fools!" Blurry pics like that haven't been leaked in years Quote
DarthSion Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Rather obviously lame April fools like the one this site played. Why would they make a Han Solo cloud car when he never used one in the movies. Quote
Supersonic Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Well, a Cloud Car would never be big enough to contain 350 parts, and the picture very obviously shows the 2001 Cloud Car... Quote

The Legonater Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Well, the entire forum is pink now with the release of the Hello Kitty line. I thought it was a huge joke, but it is real. I noticed that- and of course that's real. I meant the Star Wars one. i have found a new picture but i don't know if it is an april fools day prank or a real set so iam not deeplinking it: i found it on toysnbricks april fools or not? Ah, there it is Quote
Bricker Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Well to the people saying that the cloud car is fake- Obviously if this is real this must be in a VERY early stage. I mean really depending on this pic it could really be the old cloud car exept the LEGO group tinkered with this a bit to make it look new but obviously the real set(if it really exists) is in a very early stage and the whole design has't been finished so they simply edited a box work really quickly... okay your probobly saying that LEGO wouldnt release a set picture JUST for us to know that it will exist, but then again, why do they host toyfairs? I must say this makes no sense that this is an April Fools joke because LEGO is NOT stupid enough to do that. The only evidence that we have that proves this is FAKE is that the picture looks poor (Also there is no premilary thing but of course if you remember the first picture we got from the Naboo Starfighter was final). I wouldnt dought this of a set because I read something on Toys and Bricks or someplace that LEGO is going to release more surprise sets for 2011. I presume most of this is true but if you think this is all an April Fools joke then I dont know what goes on in your head because for LEGO to do something like that is cruel, a false promise. So im leaning toward REAL on this one but if Im wrong, Ill take it with dignity. Quote

The pic is the original Cloud Car set just really pixelated, with the minifigs on the bottom mostly looking like they are wearing tan clothes, like a bunch of Jedi. This set would be cool, but if TLG had wanted to remake, it would have been done last year for the 10th anniversary of ESB. Tis is obviously a joke not done by LEGO, but Brickset. Quote
Delta 38 Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Rather obviously lame April fools like the one this site played. Why would they make a Han Solo cloud car when he never used one in the movies. That was my first thought, with the second giveaway being the background. And wait, a Cloud Car which is forty centimetres wide? Quote
DarthSion Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Yeah 40cms would either be a big model or UCS, either way more than 350 pieces. Quote
-JD- Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 20021 Oh! That looks great! It's weird how the minis look better than the system sets. Quote
