Sorry for not editing my precedent message.

But from what I can see with that first pic, it is absolutely certain that the bottomm wing have tubes outside (looks, studs are on the up side, with many 2x2 tiles).

How hell is it possible to fail a design like that ??

Hope they will fix that. :-S

If not, I fly to Danmark to teach them. :p

Also see X-wing and B-wing S-foils, Theta-class Shuttle dorsal fins, Twilight ventral gun...thingy...

Although yeah, after they did studs-down for the Midi-ISD, and considering this is a UCS set, this is disappointing. Same way 6212's S-foils were fail after those of 7259.

With a small calculation, I found that the model should be 122cm long (mine is 124 ; they built it in the same way).

The mini ISD is not very cute.

At this size, a "brick" built model (I mean without hinged wing) would have been a smarter choice.

Hurrah! I've been wanting a UCS Executor since I first got back into Lego after my dark ages. I thought the UCS shuttle was going to be the best thing ever, but it appears it may now have a rival. Now I just need to figure out where I can possibly fit it....

Anyone has seen this set 10221?

found in lego.com cache?

New UCS set

That looks awesome! I'll wait for more pictures before I decide to buy, but it looks like Lego will be burning quite the hole in my wallet this year...

What the fudge! This UCS is awesome, fulfilling the past 9 years of thinking "This year it'll be different. This year they'll gives us the Executor."

Going to have a massive nerdgasam now

While it looks awesome, I don't think I'll ever have enough money, room or will to buy that. It is a great set anyway, let's wait for more official news on it

The new Dengar is brilliant, and it's nice to get a set with a few of the Bounty Hunters plus Vader and an officer. The ship however, doesn't interest me at all. I'm guessing that there's no interior and that it's going to cost a lot, so I don't really care for this set. Thanks whung for the pictures, though.

I'm hoping for a Jabba's Palace set some time this year. We need an updated one, and if it's going to be an exclusive, then it'll most likely be really good.

I agree. The bottom of this model must be hollow. And MegaBlokin' ugly.

Anybody else think it looks like Dengar might have a new headpiece? It's definitely not the Ninja one, and it doesn't look big enough to be the PoP one.

Is that set suppose to be the Imperial Star Destroyer, or some other ship? I'm not that good with Star Wars ships and names. The ISD is the only ship I can think of, but it doesn't really look like it.

YES!!! So glad they made this.

This likely means the DS is getting one more year on the shelves. Guess we can wait till next year to bring back the Cloud City discussion.

Fallen...apology?

This is awsome, when I first heard the rumours of this ship i thought it was fake, but it isn't :sweet: Although the UCS imperial shuttle is a better looking ship, this one is just amazing. I am not so sure about the figs, dangar looks new and nice. They will make the set only more expensive, but maybe the UCS will be more appealing?

Wow

Finally an executer, I was kinda hoping for a UCS Venator but this is still great. The details which will be packed into this thing are sure to be amazing.

Anybody have any idea of the release date?

Hey, be patient.

In the next few months, be sure that Lego will produce a brand new UCS Venator ! steal the design of Thire5 and Atix Naid for a Venator. haha.gif

Shame on Lego.

Oh, just stop complaining.

Some "iconic" ships from Star Wars must have a similar structure on the same scale.

They are tons of way to design a model.

I have enough experience and skills in MOCing to know that. On the other hand, there are many irrelevant choices on that 10221.

And I could write a very big post to proove my point on that new set. So could have make Cavegod with the 10215.

Anio, you've never hid the fact that you didn't want TLG to build an Executor so you could be one of the few with one. That's understandable. Yours is likely more accurate with more detail so be proud about that too.

But please, TLG did not copy you. And don't be a killjoy in this thread because you won't be one of the few with an Executor.

I agree with that. TLG only makes certain angles of plates, so it's obvious that a UCS Executor set would resemble some MOCs. Besides, as said, there's the studs-up bottom that is not in Anio's model, and each hull plate on the set is in one piece, whereas Anio's front portion and back portion are separate. (or at least do not touch with their studs parallel)

So could have make Cavegod with the 10215.

Lets not get started on that again... :sceptic:

You could try to demonstrate that they stole your design, and then have them send you one of them for free to shut you up if you manage to generate a big enough thread here or (better) in their own forum (which, btw, at least in the SW section is filled to the brim with roleplayers and nerds).

30 minutes after you've received the package... bling, 400+ euros on Ebay. Easy money is easy.

The only big difference between the 2 models is indeed that my wings are made with 2 pieces, whereas 10221 has 1 piece. Kudos to TLG for that.

I'm not sure if you would say the same thing if you had worked more than 250 hours on a model.

I'm sure that if Dmac had built his Shuttle in the end of 2009 or the the beginning of 2010, TLG would have say "Hey, c'mon, it is just a coincidence".

 Well I might point it out when the model was first seen, but I certainly wouldn't bring it up again later.

I am fairly certain TLG designed the majority of this on their own borrowing from the design of the UCS ISD.
