Second row from the bottom, far right - is that a new IG-88? His head looks looks slighty different to the previous one, possibly just the burry pic though.

That's what I have been wondering as well. The head does indeed look different.

But it basically confirms the report that there was a Han Solo (Hoth) riding a Tauntaun. And another Tauntaun is not at all 'Meh!'.

I like Tauntauns but why do we need a new one? You don't like the old design?

By the way, thanks for the pic. I can't wait to see this Hoth set in real (bacta luke and Red-PO are awesome).

I think he means a new chance to get the Taun-Taun. And I don't think were getting a new one, if the Han is almost exactly the same as in the set with the Taun-Taun.

New Hoth set should include General Rieekan, Wes Janson (Wedge's Gunner), Toryn Farr or new characters like Hobbie Klivian or why not Wedge Antilles with the same torso as Zev Senesca.

The contrary, the contrary. I feel relieved to get a second chance for a Tauntaun. This does support the anticipation that the new Hoth set will make for a good standalone. This would be one league of excellence with BoE. As others mentioned i am a little afraid that injured Luke will be good for nothing except spending years of my ownership in his bacta tank.

Thanks jansued for this peek at the poster. This one is lovely. I am always suprised to see how much such a piece of artwork (as in the computer games) can make LEGO figs look so funny and hilarious. It's beautiful. The figs themselves resemble a good collection for a year. Every piece of more detail like in the compelling review vagrant has linked gets more and more welcome. Good to see those closeups of the figs with their (back-)printing. Nice work. The Sith infiltrator will once - at the right price - be granted entrance to my collection, too.

I also appreciate that the speeder bike can be put into the ship separately. If only TLG would stop making more and more stickers instead of printed bricks...

Well, that's kind of custom but i cannot see anything 'illegal' about it. Isn't customizing what MOCs are about - improving looks and / or testing new building techniques?!

Assembling clips in this manner is not approved by The LEGO Group (presumably since it would damage the piece in the long term) and is thus considered an 'illegal' building technique. It sure comes in handy, though.

Loxitane offers good video reviews, i like his channel. The vids are long and a little repetetive in showing stuff but the quality is good. He has loads of LEGOs to show and he goes into detail a lot.

Eh, 5~15 minutes isn't that long, especially considering how long Eurobricks reviews like Rufus's and Brickdoctor's are.

Just because it has some nice new 'figs doesn't immediately make it a good set. 8038 was great because it had a lot of figures, good figures, and the set was pretty well designed and instantly recognizable. From what we've heard, Echo Base doesn't even have the doors, and if it doesn't I don't think it will compare to 8038. Not unless the part they've done is beyond all my expectations for a System playset and there are a dozen or more 'figs.

And his belt is more "brown" then the others, I can't see the top of his helmet, but if I was a betting man, I'd say thats Pre Visela!

You both got a point here. As far as i understood from the rumors here i expect some kind of a bigger set, however. Those tend to offer a bit for everyone and i like the larger sets of the recent past. If this style gets continued, it'll be quite ok for me.

But that's a matter of stance. I also admired the Home One and overpayed just to get it (was a sale at 99.99 € instead of 124.99 € - which still is expensive. If 7879 is interior only but well done in it's own right, i'll go for it. Still, the more complete the set will be, the better customer reaction is likely to be, i guess. BoE is kind of a benchmark, IMO.

It looks to me just like the Mandalorian with the sniper rifle in the battle pack, his legs are bent backwards so the colour of it kinda reflects off the gun he is holding so I really doubt it is a new figure.

Good catch. He never choked Piett, and I doubt that is Needa, so does the set include Ozzel? Or is TLG just doing it for fun and not sticking to the movie?

I hope it's Ozzel, when I originally suggested the idea back when the SSD picture came out almost everyone shot me down. Plus it'd be a unique fig we'll likely never see again.

Glad to see that the Hoth rumor is true. Waiting on a set picture now...TLG is doing a good job hiding this one so far.

I like the new red proctocal droid. It will expand the veriety in proctocal droids than just having gold, black, or white colors.

The Dengar looks great- and since when was there any dought in that? We all saw him in that pic of the UCS Super Star Destroyer. Plus is it that hard to tell its him?

Teh bacta tank Luke is LOVELY. A good way to get the new Luke hair. I was getting dought in the new Hoth set but this pic completely proves it. The figs are AMAZING wich tells me set set is going to be at least HALF decent. Another Taun-Tain would we great.

Hoth Han- Blue again! Seriously sometimes I wonder if the people that work at the LEGO group are blind (Sorry LEGO group you guys are great but it is obviously brown). Seriously I dont get it. I can say it a tiny bit blue from a pic of Han in Hoth hood up close.

Hoth Leia- She looks great. Is it just me or is her hair a new peice? Looks like one.

Health Droid or watever its called- Nice to get one in this set. Hopefully the new Hoth set wont be a big set or expensive so that the price isnt huge. It feels like that rumored (Not real)cloud car set which although was fake sounded so incredible. A Boba Fett, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Luke, and Leia. This is like that .

Ig-88 looks nice. Im glad they gave assasin droids a new design.

... Just wanted to let everyone know that the Asaj in that picture has her shirt a little WAY WAY WAY to low. I suppose LEGO made this right(obviously)? If theyre gonna release this to the public... Its going to be like that time when on a catalog they had an Agents cover with three of the agents together (all men). Agent Chase was alright... but the other two had the womans torso. Thats just not right LEGO, not right all.

I don't know, theres no duplicate of any other figure, and it looks different, different enough to ward some speculation.

I agree. All the other pairs that are similar are two different characters (Wolfpack trooper and Wolffe, Jar-Jar and Gungan Warrior), one generic and one named. If TLG was consistent with the pattern, it would be generic Mando and named Mando, and the only important blue named Mandos that would make it into sets are Vizla and Fett, and Fett wouldn't be working with a generic Mando. But the fact that there are no Rebel Pilots on the poster still stands. As for Han and Leia, they've been around a lot, but they're still main characters that you'd expect to get if you were someone who doesn't normally buy SW and was just buying one big Echo Base set.

I just found that catalog a couple of days when I was cleaning. I was so baffled by it at the time. You'd think Lego would know better.

Now my opinions on the figs:

Bacta tank Luke is great except that I don't really like the new hair they gave him. I can't really figure out why but I just feel its not right.

I guess the Naboo fighter Anakin doesn't come with a helmet and I see that we are getting two Episode 1 Anakins. Weird

I love the new chance to get a medical droid in a set that actually requires one.

"Red"-3PO seems like an assassin droid (for the rebels, maybe?) mainly because of the colors but I still like it nonetheless. I can finally have a protocol droid thats not C-3PO. (The only one I own is the C-3PO from the original Falcon).

Well its nice to have more Jedi. Eeth Koth (sp?) and Quilan Vos (sp?) only showed up for like a episode and a half if you combined their screen time and I don't think they ever showed up together. I am liking the "new" green blades though.

It has always bothered me that every time (that I can remember) we get an Episode 4 Luke get comes with a lightsaber. The only time he uses one is when he's training on the Falcon. It makes sense with this set but Obi Wan isn't included so he's just doing training by himself?

At least in this poster (with the added blurriness) Ki Adi Mundi doesn't look half bad.

Sand green Rodian. Nice.

Leia's new hair is meh in both figues of her. Still waiting for her in Boush disguise, whenever that'll happen.

Can't really say anything about Padme and Cap. Pandanka (sp?), just that they have been long overdue.

The Mandos seem like they have added printings, at least the far right one does.

Dengar looks like a mix of new face printings and the classic banada in creating his signature wrappings.

Vendress has a very, very low cut top. That is all.

It seems like Lego did something different for IG-88's head but I could be wrong.

Darth Maul looks how he should always look. Badass!

Genosian has wings? Where did those come from?

Its a fine mix of OT, PT, and Clone Wars. Why can't Lego do this every year? Definitely a fantastic year for Lego Star Wars.

Thanks jansued. My eye is really drawn to IG-88. I recall earlier this year our first pics of the Halo showed the assasin droid with the same 'new' head of IG-88. Perhaps for whatever reasont hey stalled the peice untill this, or it's a complete fake.
