Any news or ideas what will be in upcoming (2H2011) SW advent calendar?

Where'd you get this information?

Ah, nowhere... It's just an rumor. :classic:

but I think that it would be very succesful.

Cwetqo, I don't want to sound unfriendly nor to be unfriendly. And I even don't want to mini-mod.

But please firstly make sure that the info you got from your source is absolutely reliable. If it doesn't, than feel free to post it here nevertheless, but please point out that it you aren't sure about this source being true. And please don't post set wishes here. If nevertheless, than please point out that it's only a wish of your and not an info you get.

I hope I didn't sound unfriendly since we all are very lucky about everybody who posts rumours and info about new sets here. :classic:

Since after my knowledge TLG has no rights to sell seperate minifigs but only BPs and regular sets, it's absolutely unlikely that there'll be a SW advent calenar.

For the second half of 2011 I could well imagine that we'll get the following OT sets:

-small Hoth Base (the medical droid from Palpy's Shuttle could very well be used there, too)

-MF (but don't await too much - if at all than it surely will be sold as a regular set for not more than 120-130 Euros - so too much interior details and many new minifigs can imo regrettably not be awaited)

-exlusive Cloud City (much bigger, more detailed, with more and partly new minifigs included set, supposably not that expensive than 10188, but surely minimum that expensive than the AT-OT With Dropship; new Boba, new Han and new carbonite mold as indicator)

Btw:

This year we got seven SW sets in the first wave. So there's still hope that we'll see a seven SW set in Jan./Feb. 2011, too, although it wasn't seen and mentioned before - hopefully a small OT set. But since we have now scans of the SW sets of the dealer's catalogue and since no other set is mentioned there, I must admit that this is very unlikely.

Is there any rumours or details on any UCS sets coming out soonish?

I'm not that impressed with the Imperial Shuttle.

I was hoping for something huge like 10030 or 10179.

I dont know about any yet. kimt or navytrooperfenson might know about it so you could ask them

As far as seventh 1H2011 is concerned: and don't believe that we will get it. Maybe coming UCS fighter is also counted here as seventh set?

Licensed products like starwars aren't typically made into things like advent calenders

Also another UCS? Slave I or the venetor class shuttle would be cool

I'd just like them to do another 5000+ piece set.

I'm thinking they won't as they prob make more money off smaller sets.

I think it takes a really long time to make UCS sets, so I don't think there will be any popping up. I'd expect some surprise announcement if any at all.

No. No no NO. God, we've had way too many Hoth sets and I would like them to focus on something different.

I actually wonder what will be the next midi set.

Hmmm, a SW advent.....well an advent is usually about 8 minifigs...that's two BP's...about 23 bucks each....so an SW advent I would say would be about 50 dollars Aussie.

Though which would it be...... CW, PT or OT, plus would it really happen ???

I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

For some reason, the idea of a Star Wars Advent scares me. It reminds me of the Star Wars Holiday Special. Do not wants! But then again, more wookies!

Although I'm building up a fairly large (for my standards) Hoth collection, I'd say that it is about time to move on to some other theme. A few more Hoth sets here and there may be okay, but that's it for me.

We seem to be going back to the Clone Wars now, and if there are more Clone Troopers/Mandalorians that's great.

Hmm. If there were more than eight minifigs, or contained some decent things, then $50 would sound good. I haven't seen an advent calendar around here, though, so I don't know...

Didn't you forget the Lucas tax !

Regular city/pirate/castle/kingdoms advents are non-licensed products, so an SW advent would be dearer to pay Mr. Lucas for the rights to do it just like any SW product.

Is there any more pictures of the other sets yet ?

Have you seen it live? I'm only through the first instruction booklet and it's already worth the high price! Much more solid build than most UCS sets (so far). It is huge!

Maybe you should check to see if they've seen them, which we have.

Ugh I know. I hate it when people keep posting pics we've already seen. Maybe KimT should put the pics in the OP so people don't have to look through all of the posts to know what's new and old.

I'm sorry but preliminary and confidential pictures aren't going to get deeplinked or anything similar around here.

The sets look intresting. It looks like they got a 5 year-old to draw some 'space ships' then got their top designers to design them. Sure, that does mean that they'll probably sell well, but dissapointing none the less - I won't be getting them. I'm quite dissapointed that this is what Star Wars has become, but either way, the designs aren't bad. I'll be picking up a good few of the Naboo set no doubt, but I think the rest look pretty bleak to me. I'll have to get some of those figs somehow though

A bit dissapointing, But I have high hopes for some more OT/PT sets later on in the year.

NO mate.

Only seen pictures.

Went into the LEGO Brand Store in my area the other day, but they didn't have it built. And I was so hyped up about seeing it in person. They had the CW display instead. :hmpf_bad:

Me too. Hopefully, they'll come out as magnets, but if not, nearly ever character exists as a keychain.
