Swash Buckler Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I hate it when people hate on the PT and call it the "kids trilogy." LOL i cannot find ewoks or jawas to be mature elements of any story SW is for all ages- but ep3 and ep5 may be too scary for little kids- pt has it's problems but hating it is just a childish whining.... What about Heir to the Empire, the Jedi Academy Trilogy, Droids, and Ewoks? Or the Marvel and Dark Horse comic books? I'm pretty sure all of those were around way before Jar Jar Binks. And the Special Edition too. LEGO would have had quite a lot of stuff to make sets off of, even without the Prequels. Heck, maybe the license would've even been better at the beginning without Menace; I would much rather have had a K-wing from the Black Fleet Crisis or the E-wing from Dark Empire over that 'craptastic' Gungan Sub or even the 7153 Slave I. In the U.S. (or at least, here in Texas) the summer sets don't arrive until late July/early August and the winter sets until the first week of January. LOL jedi academy is most funniest game ever made and it's not even meant to be funny... Rosh Penin is million times more irritating than Ahsoka and Jar Jar together Yes that isn't an improvement but I think the price is actually worth it with that tie pilot and silver droid I think that it was pointless decision to remade v-wing as imperial I don't even want that boring set... they should make Padmé.. or new Leia... or that Octopus machine that Asajj Ventress uses in TCW... or tactical droid... or rancor from ROTJ.... naboo set looks good- more gungans and droids- i need more droids... is there seven of them? oh my goodness and price is that low compared to v-wing with one useless pilot (where are that open tiehelmet anyway not from movies not from TCW not even from TFU....) Based on the prelim pics I count around 7 regular BDs and 2 with blue markings = 9 BDs. Regarding the V-Wing, the term Imperial is due to the appearance of the ship in the newly-established less-than-a-day-old Empire in RoTS, as seen on one of the last scenes in the movie where V-Wings were accompanying Palpatine's shuttle when they saved the injured Vader in Mustafar. And those open helmets are the same ones used by Republic ARC pilots, which appeared on the same time as V-Wing pilots. And guys, pls. read KimT's post above. A lot of times we have tendencies to go out of topic so let's try to follow forum rules ok? Edited September 19, 2010 by KielDaMan Quote

Yes you are right about the V-Wing having no life support and the pilots should have closed helmets, in the first versions of the V-Wing. But Wookieepedia says that the Empire improved the V-Wing to accomodate hyperdrives, so there's the possibility that life-support systems were also introduced in the ship later on. Following the end of the Clone Wars, V-wing squadrons flew under the banner of the Galactic Empire. Three V-wings, flown by elite pilots, escorted the self-appointed Emperor Palpatine's shuttle during his voyage from Coruscant to Mustafar and again on the return trip, culminating at the Emperor Palpatine Surgical Reconstruction Center. These elite V-wings were modified for hyperspace travel without booster rings and were equipped with upgraded shields. That would also confirm that V-Wings flew under the Empire and hence the term Imperial V-Wing. Edited September 19, 2010 by KielDaMan Quote
prateek Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Here's a pic of the Imperial V-Wings. It looks pretty cool, and judging from this pic, I think the pilot would be a clone, and not a proper "human". So there goes the chance of a female pilot. Quote
Jangu Fett Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I like the look of the new Imperial V-Wing, I just hope the wings rotate, for the fighters proper landing gear. Like in the comic photo. Quote
ThatGuyWithTheBricks Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Was this V-Wing supposed to be in the time when the Empire was still using clones or something? Quote
prateek Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Was this V-Wing supposed to be in the time when the Empire was still using clones or something? Probably, because once the clones started getting replaced with non-clones, the V-Wings were getting replaced by TIEs. Quote
DarthSion Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Was this V-Wing supposed to be in the time when the Empire was still using clones or something? IF you watch V-wings escort the emperors shuttle back to Curoscant at the end of episode 3 with Vader in the medi suit just before the transformation. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 (edited) The trident is one of many Aqua droids!!! Trident is the name of the ship, not the class of the ship, but nowhere in the Wookieepedia article is it said that the Trident is an 'Aquadroid'. However, since Swash Buckler was referring to the ship used by Ventress, it is indeed the Trident. Probably, because once the clones started getting replaced with non-clones, the V-Wings were getting replaced by TIEs. Wookieepedia states that the standard TIE/In was introduced in 18 BBY, only one year after RotS, so they were almost certainly flown by clones at one point. I didn't go to Celebration V, so I'm ony going with what Wookieepedia says. Keep in mind, however, that 'Aquadroid' is not a class name. It's probably the developer's name or a nickname. Quote
CMP Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 (edited) I think that aquadroids were really the weird-looking droids, not the squid ships. Hey, whaddoya know? Edited September 19, 2010 by CallMePie Quote

It was listed by Hasbro and mentioned by Dave Filoni many times with pictures. Now the Trident may be the name of one ship or the type of ship, I'm not positive, but I am 99.9% positive its not also called an Aqua Droid. Just my 2 cents. Quote

CMP Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 It is the squid ship is called aqua droid while the other droids are called aqua droids(land) I find that unlikely. You see, I checked on wookieepedia, and it seems it also appeared in The Clone Wars movie. I don't think it would be called the Aqua droid, because it can fly, and also appeard on Tatooine and Christophsis. Quote

As you say, "other droids are called aqua droids(land)". I'm sorry, but anything with aqua in their titles aren't meant for land use. Plus, they don't refer to ships as droids, so I don't think the ship is called aqua droid. Edited September 19, 2010 by Legocrazy81 Quote

Just from the fact that it's printed alone, I'd say that it's a China Plastic piece, but with the same or only slightly different mold. Printing and plastic would be the same as the Ewoks. Quote
