Who says we're not getting a Geonosis set?

I'd buy that more then any of the other suggestions.

We'd get more droids, possibly a remold for the rare Geonosians (which I want more of). Luminara Unduli, Ki Adi Mundi, Mundi's soldiers, Commander Woolfe, more Sepretist tanks. heck maybe even a medical ship that was featured in "Brain Invaders".

There is much more potentiol in a Geonosis set then any of the others.

Personally Geonosis is a great idea- Cloney or PT. Either one have great potential for figs. I'd prefer PT though... we've gotten a lot of new Jedi so far, why not more?

Commander Woolfe

Jet or Gree.

Like who? Ki-Adi's the only main Jedi left that I can think of from PT Geonosis. A Padme or updated Unduli would be nice, though.

A Geonosis set could be from AOTC, Season 2 or a new Season 3 episode (that could be set in the past) or it could not even exist at all. We're all pretty eager to get speculating on absolutely anything that's mentioned in this thread.

Knowing LEGO, they might throw in an un-important jedi. We could also get some Seps, like the Muun who's name escapes, Watt Tambor, and others.

It seems like what you want is a set that just has a bunch of minifigs. The problem is there isn't many more vehicles TLC could make :S

Just like a little side question thingy, were there even droid carriers in Ep. 1?

With the increasing number of new LEGO minifigure molds for Star Wars and other lines, 'a bunch of minifigures' is quickly becoming the ideal LEGO set. Hence the collectible minifigure packs, the continued success of the battlepacks and LEGO's reluctance to give us troop carrier vehicles that could actually act as troop carriers (i. e. an AT-AT with more than two snowtroopers) to force fans into buying more battlepacks - with the exception of the 7662 MTT, which doesn't really count because battle droids aren't legitimate minifigures.

It would only make sense, then, that the highlight of a year devoted to the Prequels would be a Geonosis arena set with Agen Kolar and 5 or 6 exclusive Jedi I've never heard of and who appear for less than a second in the entire film. And of course maybe someone would want a LEGO acklay, reek, or nexu. Perhaps a properly sized hailfire droid could be included, as the most recent rendition is pitiful in terms of size.

problem is that a geonosis arena set would be..huge, and little kids don't really want a diorama, they want a ship they can fly around a room.

In some way no I know loads off kids who like the locations more than the ships :oh:

So is there going to be a geonosis set?

Does anyone know where the new BP pics can be found? I can't find them in the forum so I hope I haven't missed out :cry_sad:

Just search for Battlepacks 2011 on Flickr: Link

Looking at the clearer battle pack images there is no variety for the bomb squad troopers

You mean they're both the same?

All the bomb squad troopers we've seen are the same, so LEGO probably wouldn't invent some sort of bomb squad commander, plus, there have been at least one pair of the same fig in every battlepack so far, so I wouldn't have thought this would be any different. At least we're getting four figs, unlike many people used to think! :classic:

Yes they are both the same, They would not be different as in blue shadow virus they were just a squad of four bomb squad clone's so as you said they would not make a commander and I always believed there would be four figures in the battle packs

Yea but what I meant was from the blurry pics it looked like there was a variation but there isn't a variation :classic:

Even if the pictures are preliminairy. I find it strange that the Mandalorians are identical. Most of the time in these battle packs the general troopers only come in two or three. So if you want a big army, you need to buy more battle packs.

It wouldn't be an arena, it'd probably be a CW set if we got it.

Yeah. Only the Rebel BP had four identical troopers.

I just looked at Skafte's Flickr link and two of the Mandos torso's have zero printing. This may leave the possibility that there will be some variance in the figs in the BP.

Let's hope.

Why all this fuzz about the printing on the figs in the BP's?

It's preliminary pictures - you don't expect TLG to set a whole printing machine to some undetermined design, just to make a single preliminary box?

you guys are taking these preliminary pictures waaaaaay too seriously.

Well, what else is there to talk about?

Actually I was just informing those who were conerned that all the Mando figs would be the same. I personally like the idea of having four generic Mandos. Sorry about that Kim T, I was just relaying info to the masses. I didn't think it would be a big deal.
