Walter Kovacs Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 I forgot about that one too, although details are even more sketchy than Mace's JSF. It's no wonder that one slipped my mind. A Geonosis set would be awesome, much better than another Delta-7B (though inferior to an Eta-2 Actis ) Quote

A Geonosis set would be awesome, much better than another Delta-7B (though inferior to an Eta-2 Actis ) Yeah, no additional info on the Geonosis set except for KimT's hint. Unlike Mace's JSF, the price info of $US60(?) from Navy Trooper Fensn suggests that it might actually be an Eta-2 with hyperdrive ring instead of the Delta 7B. Quote
commanderneyo Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 And perhaps a Geonosis set? As hinted by KimT: Well I think when KimT hinted about a geonosis set he meant it was very likely as because this seems to be more of a pt/cw year they will throw in a geonosis set. Quote

Most of the time moderators know about the new sets before they are posted on EB, so sometimes they provide titbits to keep us excited. Hopefully this hint is true and not a misunderstanding on our part. Quote

KimT Posted September 30, 2010 Author Posted September 30, 2010 Wow, I really have to consider what I post here. All I said was: "Who says we're not getting a Geonosis set" and instanly you guys take that as a hint that we are getting one... (See? I did it again ) Quote
Oky Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 *Sigh* Are we ever gonna be safe from your teasings? You're a Bad Santa, KimT! Quote

Hopefully this hint is true and not a misunderstanding on our part. If that is true then I want to be told of a season 3 cw set Quote
starwarsfanatic Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Loving the Battle of Naboo set. Is it just me that thinks the ARF trooper is rubbish? Why get something blocky like that when they could give us another Kashyyk trooper. It would be much better and I'm sure is an ARF trooper anyway, just differently coloured. Or am I wrong? I am glad that there is printing on the Gungan Warrior, but I wish they hadn't printed on Jar-Jar's head. Quote
prateek Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 I want a Lightning Squadron ARF, because I don't care for customization. Quote

Nope the ARF trooper has a fin and the Kashyyyk trooper doesn't. Quote
prateek Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 And, we have 100 pages. Two months before schedule. Quote

prateek Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 There's schedule? I calculated there to be 100 pages by the beginning of December, somewhere near the beginning of this thread. (I'm too lazy to find the actual post) Quote
minifig13 Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 I cant wait for the MANDALORIANS! I love the new helmets... but i wish they would still use the old ones. Quote

(I'm too lazy to find the actual post) yeah some stores do get them in time right before the holidays. i better stock up more 8014. usually lego only likes keeping 2 battlepack types out at a time. I know, that's a huge pain. My local retailer does not supply the 2009 wave BPs. (Still only one orange arm on the Bomb Squad Troopers ) Quote

The ARF Troopers are different from the AT-RT drivers and Kaskyyk troopers we saw in RoTS (below). In terms of size I'd think that the Kasshykk trooper helmet would be the same size as the ARF one. I would reserve judgment until I see the final version of the ARF helmet. Basing on the prelims, my only gripe so far is that the black eye openings are printed instead of cut-out like the Biker Scout helmets. Edited October 1, 2010 by KielDaMan Quote
FettJango Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 (edited) While we're on this topic. Does anyone know if the ARF trooper will have a clone or black stud. I can't see well in the pics we've seen. Edited October 1, 2010 by FettJango Quote

You mean a clone or plain black head? From the prelims it looks like the eye opening of ARF helmet is printed black so it would probably have the hideous clone face, and I think they have to be consistent with the head since these ARFs are 'brothers' of the other clones. I would have personally preferred the plain black head and the ARF helmet with the cut-out eye opening like what I stated above. Quote
FettJango Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Does any one even have sources from Mace's JSF? I hope the rumor about it false. There's no detail to it and for $60? Regular JSF are $20.(With the exception of Ahsoka's) What 40 dollar add-on to a JSF could be so interesting? A 40 dolllar gundark? I wouldn't get it, even with young Boba and Castas. Just my two cents. Quote

Just my two cents. For the benefit of those who missed this discussion a few pages back, here is what Navy Trooper Fenson said: I heard something about a Mace Windu Starfighter now. It was some other informant now, so the veritableness is disputable. The article number is 7868 and the price is supposed to be 39,99€. Strange, the other TCW JSFs were all 26€. It seems like it´s not going to be as bland as one would expect from the past ones and it is probably an exclusive to some storechain as the number differs from the other 11 sets. I have doubts about the set myself, please don´t stone me when it turns out to be false alarm. It is not actually confirmed if the rumored Mace JSF will be the Delta 7-B or the Eta-2. The speculations were either the boring white Delta 7-B with an enemy vehicle or exclusive figs or the purple Eta-2 with a hyperdrive ring to justify the higher price. Quote

It's just a pain to line up the black marks with the cut out. I'd rather have a detailed face so he looks good without the helmet. A good example is the Jango Fett fig. If you look at the movie, it's really inaccurate that his fig is a black hood. Quote

How would it be hard to line up the cut-out if the head is a just plain black head?! Well, that's just my personal preference, and I still know that the ARF trooper will have the normal clone face and a printed helmet. Edited October 1, 2010 by KielDaMan Quote
