lightningtiger Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 A wild guess on that question is that he works in the store that the set is exclusive for. Good point. Besides that please not another 'vulture droid', I have a few of those all ready and are a pain to build and use. I'm a conformist! ! Quote
The_Customizer Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Well let's see....I think most of the pictures have been taken down but here's a full PDF version of the retailers catalog. There's also been a rumor about Mace's Starfighter but you've seen that. Thanks a ton for the link! (Winnie the Pooh?!?!? ) Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Thanks a ton for the link! (Winnie the Pooh?!?!? ) Use the honey, Pooh......use the honey ! Anyway, I have just noticed that none of next years sets so far have flick missiles, not even the battle packs......for a change ! I'm a conformist! everyone ! Quote

I'm pretty sure the T-6 shuttle has them, but they are concealed rather nicely. Quote
Diaaabo Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I noticed the lack of them on the BPs, but perhaps they may be hidden in the other sets. Or are the flick missiles so hated that TLG decided to remove them? Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I'm pretty sure the T-6 shuttle has them, but they are concealed rather nicely. By the looks of it in the catalogue, there is no room for them, as the wings must rotate using Technic parts.......oh yeah, and the cockpit ejects as an escape module too. I'm a conformist! ! Quote

Mofo Jones Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Thanks a ton for the link! (Winnie the Pooh?!?!? ) I'm ok with Winnie the Pooh. My kids like Pooh and would happily add him to their Duplo collection. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 A wild guess on that question is that he works in the store that the set is exclusive for. It's a good point, and I'm no expert, but isn't this kind of decision handled at a higher level than any single employee would know of? The flick fire missiles are the trans blue pieces beside the cockpit (look at those play feature insets.) Indeed. Quote

Penitent Tangent Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Not surprised about the rumoured Mace Windu starfighter and I don't doubt it for a second. The instant I saw it in that episode, I figured they'd turn it into a set. They're popular sets, probably because they come with nice characters, a little spaceship and they're cheap. So if they're selling well, of course they're going to do more and Mace's looks different enough (being white) from the rest to bother making a set of. So I'm not bothered that we're getting another one, but I am looking forward to when the show decides to switch over to the Eta-2 model starfighters. Quote
Drock Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I'm sure they would add more "highlights" to a Mace's starfighter set than in the actual ship, to make it more interesting. I was guessing on Kit Fisto's starfighter so I guessed wrong this time. I didn't like Mace's astromech droid though - he was a punk. Quote
Primusman Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 he was a punk. Was he a punk, or as Jabba would say, a punky muffin? All jokes side, I always hated that line. Too childish. Back on topic, I think a starfighter for Mace would be okay, but I wouldn't buy it. I prefer the eta-2 models, anyway. They're much more interesting. Quote

I'm not suprised about a Mace Windu fighter either for two reasons. 1. Lego seem to be making a good amount of starfighters recently (This year we had Plo Koons and General Grievous starfighter) 2. If you look at the 2011 cw sets so far they are pretty much all to do with season 2 of the cw like Windus fighter (The only exception of the 2011 cw sets is the Bomb squad trooper which appeared in season 1). Sir von Lego Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Hi, I talked to the LEGO Service 5 minutes ago about the JEDI STARFIGHTER, Art.Nr. 7868. This is the result: Piece Count: 313 Price: 39,99€ Available: from January Minifigs: Mace Windu, Battle Droid (2x), Tactical Droid, Space Skeleton. Can someone tell me, what a Tactical Droid and a SPACE SKELETON is? greetings Hendrik Quote

Walter Kovacs Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Could the Space Skeleton be a new CIS fighter that hasn't debuted yet? They could certainly use a little diversity on that side (Vulture Droid, Vulture Droid, Vulture Droid, Hyena, Vulture...). 40 euro seems awful steep for a Delta 7B, even with two BDs and a Tactical Droid. Oh and TACTICAL DROID! Quote
commanderneyo Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 What I assume is this skeleton comes from the space theme alas the name space skeleton and I think the reason they took the tactical droid out of the turbo tank was so they could put it in this set though I wish it came with Boba fett instead of 2 Battle droids Quote

Or were both rumoured to appear in that set? Quote
The Legonater Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 No, it was tactical droids. Well this stinks. They just had to through in a tactical droid to mkae us all need this set. Don't you just hate TLG some times? Quote

Don't you just hate TLG some times? Well I will love them if they make any of these suggestions in august(Young boba in jango gear,Gree, New padme) I could go on but that would take forever On another note I have put up the page for the Mace Windu Starfighter on Brickepedia. Supersonic Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Space skeleton? Aren't battle droid arms called "space skeleton arms" in LDD? However, 303 parts for a JSF and 5 minifigs sounds weird. More likely the space skeleton will be some kind of spaceship. Well, at least this isn't too overpriced. I'll be buying it anyway, I love both kinds of JSFs and I still have no Mace Windu minifig.
