Emperor Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 No, it was tactical droids. Well this stinks. They just had to through in a tactical droid to mkae us all need this set. Don't you just hate TLG some times? Yeah, it really sucks that we get an awesome new droid, why couldn't they just give us another battle droid? I really hate them for making all these great new figs If you don't want to buy this set, just buy the droid at bricklink etc. I'm really excited about this set, I don't have Mace and the droid is really really awesome, the 2 BDs are nice too. Compared to the 176 pieces the Swampspeeder contained this is a very good deal. Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I just realized this: There's no mention of an Astromech! Quote
Zzz Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Just a reminder, this year's exclusive was 37€ for 176 parts, 4 minifigs. Guess there is better value around next year. Here is hoping for an ETA still. All these Deltas get annoying in such short time. Quote
Diaaabo Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Hmm... the Eta could justify the lack of astromech, as it would only include the droid's head. What do you think? Quote
Emperor Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I just realized this: There's no mention of an Astromech! That's weird... maybe it's an eta-2 actis after all? A delta-7 starfighter would be incomplete without an Astromech, TLG couldn't do that... Quote

TheBrickHitHouse Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I'll take it with a pinch of salt but sounds plausible Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Hmm... the Eta could justify the lack of astromech, as it would only include the droid's head. What do you think? Yeah I think it would. We did get two Ep. III sets this year.... Quote
Supersonic Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 That would be awesome. Not only the good sort of JSF, but also for a quite good price? Yes please. If it's not TCW, we even might get a new Windu minifig I think TLG should know that we had enough Aethersprites lately, while the last Eta-2 was back in 2007. And as an exclusive set, it doesn't have to be TCW. Swamp Speeder was Ep.III, too. Quote
legolandia Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 A tactical droid would be nice for the collection and as far as a space skeleton goes I would guess it is just a skeleton with a fancy name. Quote
Future74 Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I'm very interested in the new Mace Windu JSF, the combination with a tactical droid will make it an excellent seller. Cant wait for the prelim to turn up. I hope the tactical droid will have a new mold head. Ps. JSF - not the Joint Strike Fighter but the Jedi Starfighter Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Hmm... the Eta could justify the lack of astromech, as it would only include the droid's head. What do you think? It would. But unless there's something spectacular about it, I won't get it; no need or want for a Tactical Droid. Quote
qui gon jinn Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I 'll buy this set just for the minifig. Because I need a tacticial droid for my droïds army. I'm somewhat intrigued by the space skemeton. I think it's a new alien species seen in next episodes of Clone Wars. Quote

lightningtiger Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 All the new sets have appeared in CW (TCW).....the V-wing was ROTS - post CW. Anyway, as far as I can remember tacticial droids have been going seen in CW, so if this is totally true then we have another CW JSF....an exclusive if not for TRU, but for toy chains like Toyworld in Oz (they had the exclusive Ahsoka's JSF last year). I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Destroydacre Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 It would. But unless there's something spectacular about it, I won't get it; no need or want for a Tactical Droid. I honestly don't get all the love for the tactical droid either. It's ugly looking. Must be a CW thing I guess. I haven't seen Mace's fighter in the CW cartoon is it a Delta-7 or Delta-7B? If it's just a Delta-7 that would explain not having a droid as Obi-Wan's that was released in 2002 didn't have a droid body either. If it's a Delta-7B then maybe the Eta-2 rumors are correct. Guess we'll have to wait for pictures. Quote
JamesBenjamin Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 I honestly don't get all the love for the tactical droid either. It's ugly looking. Must be a CW thing I guess. (snip) I think people just want more droids. That's why all the astromechs go for so much as soon as they're out. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Hmmm... Pretty interesting 'development' on the Mace Windu JSF rumor, the inclusion of the tactical droid is good news for those who have been wanting this droid for the longest time, but I'm not that excited about the ships. If it's going to be a Delta 7-B, it'll be a pass for me since I already have my own version, and the 'Space Skeleton' I'm not so much into CIS fighters anyway. I'm still hoping it'll be an Eta-2. If not, I'll just be getting the tactical droid and Mace's astromech off BL. I honestly don't get all the love for the tactical droid either. It's ugly looking. Must be a CW thing I guess. If the rumors have no astromech then it'll be likely the Eta-2. Quote
CadBane Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Next years sets all look promising. Hate the barc speeder though. Quote

But if there's no ring, there probably won't be much purple anyways. Personally, unless TLG knows when the Eta-2s are going to debut in TCW (and they will eventually), and unless that debut comes in season three, there's no reason why a Mace Windu Delta-7B wouldn't follow on the heels of three other Delta-7Bs. ADHO15 Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 and the 'Space Skeleton' I'm not so much into CIS fighters anyway. Why would it be listed under 'Minifigures' if it's a fighter? We have no idea what will come in The Clone Wars Season 3. Mace may appear in a new Delta-7B and visit a race that look like 'space skeletons' on any reference pic given to TLG. It's an early rumour, so TLG might not yet have all the details. Remember the Pirate Tank? We had absolutely no idea what that was about when we first heard rumours. Only when we saw early pics from the show did we understand it. Quote

Ah sorry, I missed that detail, I thougt the Space Skeleton was a starfighter, since that would be the significant add-on to the JSF to jack up the price to 40Euros. But I certainly agree with you, TLG knows a lot more than us since they know in advance the ships appearing in CW series. It's just that people have been speculating what kind of Mace JSF will this one be and what are the additional elements in the set that will justify the high price. Quote

Someone before you mentioner the possibility that it was a Sep fighter, actually. Personally, I think it'll be a skeleton minifig floating in space. Quote

The BDs and tactical droid certainly does not cost that much. Quote

I agree that there could be a starfighter involved, but as it's not listed in the title, we don't know what it'll be. I was just pointing out another explanation. Someone before you mentioner the possibility that it was a Sep fighter, actually. I know, but I wasn't going to quote someone from a page or two back. Personally, I think it'll be a skeleton minifig floating in space. That seems the most logical explanation and my first thought. Quote
