I was at a Factory Tour this week with the Danish LUG - Byggepladen and I managed to get a look at the January 2011 Star Wars sets.

They look great in their final boxes - they're quite similar to the prelims we've seen.

The T6 has a bunch of sticker though.

The figs are all awesome and well done.

I really like the Bounty Hunter ship, it's much cooler up close and personal, than I imagined it to be.

The mandalorian battle pack is also great and the final torso print is pretty good

All 4 mandos are the same though.

The V-wing looks really cool and so does Mace Windu's Starfighter - I am soo getting that one.

(along with the rest, since I am a collector )

Your so lucky I can only dream off the factory tour maybe next year or the year after that :cry_sad:

Yay, it's great to hear some confirmation on the upcoming sets from KimT, can't wait to finally see the official photos. But even without them, the first must-buys for me are the two BPs and the V-Wing. I'm still 50-50 on the T-6 (3 cool new jedi vs. crappy ship). The Halo, Naboo Battle, and Mace's JSF are a pass for me (I'd just get the figs that I want from BL).

Mace Windu's JSF is indeed pretty boring looking. I was hoping not having to get this set, but since I collect CW minifigs, I'm probably gonna have to due to the two exclusive droids which are likely not gonna appear in any other sets. Oh well, at least the speeder and STAPs are kinda neat, I suppose.

All 4 mandos are the same though.

Does that mean they all have jetpacks?

From what I saw the mando is exactly like the new boba but in Jango's colors.

I know that. What I want to know is if each one of them has a jetpack unlike the prelim box art we've seen where only two of the four seem to have one.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say we'd still get just 2 jetpacks (sadly). :sadnew:<I hope I'm wrong>

I agree..theres just this feeling I have that there will be only 2 jetpacks...seeing how there are two 'vehicles' and two mandos on foot..

hope Im wrong though :hmpf:

Also I had no idea that you can get tours of the factories! Whats it like?

And I am having doubts if i should get the T-6 Shuttle seeing there are alot of stickers....

I meant the Obi-Wan one of the episode two. It's the classical starfighter with the triangular shape and a different ring compared to the episode three one.

But it doesn't matter. Mine was just a moan

You could just take the 2002 starfightern and mod it to the blue ring with colors changed to red, but it's not a set.

As for the new developments, I wasn't going to get the T-6, and now I don't think I'll get either BP. Did you see anything new as far as the Battle of Naboo st, KimT?

Did you see wich figs are in the final version of set T-6 Jedi Shuttle (7931). In early prelim pics we saw Quinlan Vos, but on the pic of the box we saw Anakin. Hopefully it will be Quinlan Vos...

I think it has been established by now that we'll get Quinlan Vos and not Anakin. What remains to be confirmed (and seen) are the final versions of the figs. Does Saesee still have the clone face? Vos has the Boba face? Or have they changed it already? Were you able to see this KimT?

Well, it's a shame that the Mandalorians are all the same, but oh well. At least I have Boba.

That info left us none the wiser except for some minor details, but it pretty much confirms that the final products are almost identical to the prelims. A few questions though:

-Did they fix the arms on the bomb squad troopers?

-Is that insectoid helmet on a minifig seen in an early prelim of the Halo still there? I remember there was something a while back about the helmet actually belonging to a different character, but regardless I still rather like it.

-Exactly what torsos are in the Naboo set? It keeps changing. Is that shield transparent, like in one picture?

If you can answer those, I'd be grateful. If not, that doesn't really matter. We'll find out in a few months.

Lucky! I'll probably end up getting most of them.

I don't think the mandos all had jetpacks.

I did actually mostly look at the vehicles, so I'm not sure about the figs we're getting and if their final looks are different from the prelims.

I'm more of a generic kinda guy - I really don't care much for characters - at least not OT characters

But from what I remember from the prelims, they are the same characters and designs.

Hmm. Still doesn't really clarify the minifigs and minifig designs which change in some sets, but okay.

As for the Mandalorians not all having jetpacks, that doesn't really matter as I'm getting two battle packs.

My fingers are crossed that hopefully TLG will fix these for the final versions:

- Replace Saesee's CW head with an appropriate one.

- The Bomb Squad Trooper arms should be both white

- Make a new face for Vos (though I could live with the yellow-striped Boba face)

Okay. Looking back at that post, sorry if I sounded a bit rude.

no you didn't sound rude. :sweet:

I can only dream of how amazing that would be. :cry_sad:Envious!

Thats annoying that the mando's only have 2 jet packs, I guess they'll have to share.

Thanks for confirming, KimT!

I thought the arms were both orange? Either way, if the arms were the same, it's good. As for the heads, I'm not that bothered about Vos (though a new face would be good), but Saesee's must be changed.

It's a shame, but I think realistically they shouldn't all have jetpacks.

I agree, TLG can't (and won't) give us everything we want. It's like giving each clone trooper the ARC accessories in the last Clone Walker BP. It's a form of variation among the four Mandos, though it's a slight inaccuracy since the Death Watch Mandos all have jetpacks. We just have to be content that we'll get two jetpacks per BP.

Does anybody know if the speeder can seat a Mando with a jetpack on? If not, that could be another reason.

I took closer look at the clear prelim pics, it does look like the speeder Mando can't accomodate a jetpack, so that's one reason. The other one without the jetpack is the Mando manning the gunner station thingy. So only the two 'free' Mandos have jetpacks, which kinda makes sense if you consider the whole composition of the BP.
