augustus Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Well, people wouldn't have doubted the list if not for the exaggerated description of the sets (not by poza). Anyways, thanks for confirming this poza. The set list makes more sense without the aforementioned descriptions. It's good to see that the Endor and Genonosis sets are not actually the normal BPs but the larger Battle of Naboo-style BP, which is a good way to get figs in not-so-expensive sets. I'd seriously would want Ki-Adi to be pat of the Geonosis set. I am from the same Czech forum and I can verify, this retailer really exists, the problem is whether it can be considered reliable. I have never bought anything from them, but I wanted once, because believe it or not they once made such a great mistake that they put the sets on sale with the price tag without VAT - which means 20 % discount in czech rep. I had bought another quite expensive set shortly before, so I decided not to, but I heard that it was not possible to process such an order. The point is they do not seem very reliable and maybe this retailer just wants to attract attention. Quote
commanderneyo Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 (edited) Just because these sets are in the same lists as the sets we already know about doesn't mean somebody just put them in there as a joke. Why should some Czech guy know about those sets months before everybody else normally does? I still don't buy it. Unlike the sets if they're real Well it could be a joke but I am not sure it is I believe the Czechs get their summer sets in june which might explain how this Czech forum knew first. Klaus-Dieter Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 (edited) Thank you very much for this link to the set list, Christian, and for translating it, Mr Man! Endor BP sounds great! I bet it'll be very similar to the Echo Base set: -Endor Luke -Ewok -Ewok or Endor Rebel -Scouttrooper -Scouttrooper or Stormtrooper -Scouttrooper's bike -trap or catapult -some scenery (tree and scrubs) But what is a Rebel Frigate? Is it from the CW, PT or OT? Btw: This year's non-exclusive summer sets were in special stores (e. g. Kaufhof) already available in June. So this might be the case next year, too. lightningtiger Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Well, 'Klaus' I might have a guess that the Republic Frigate would be CW - it makes alot of appearences in the tv show. Now we only need sneak peeks to show us what to expect in 2011 for the whole year ! Mmm, bricking.....you will ! Quote

Klaus-Dieter Hmm Well my guess is that the 'Republic frigate is a clone wars style Pelta-class frigate (it wont be a OT set because it is a republic set, it could be a Phantom Menace Consular-class, but my moneys on the former. I think it will be a large set possibly, like the 10198 Tantive IV it could have 5 figs (Clone officer, clone medic, clone trooper x2, and an astromech droid, or a medical droid) and be in the £100 range. AndyC Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 This is the frigate. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Pelta-class_frigate I hope not, that's not a particularly interesting ship. I'd much rather it was a midi scale Nebulon-B and just hope that 'republic' is a misnaming. Quote

I'd much rather it was a midi scale Nebulon-B and just hope that 'republic' is a misnaming. It will be the republic pelta- class because the cruiser from episode one is a cruiser while this is a frigate. commanderneyo Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 This is what I think of the sets Poza found. Battle of Endor. If true then it is a good set for OT fans to get and I might only get it for speeder bikes or a at-st that could be included and the Ewoks. Battle of Geonosis. Awesome set. Even more so if it is CW as there are many possibilities from figures (Jet, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Draa,Buzz, Re-designed Geonosians,Re-designed luminara, Poggle,Geonosis camo ARF,Flamethrower Clone. ) Geonosian starfighter. Well more Geonosians would make me get this. Sith infiltrator. I probably would only get this if it included either Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jinn. Anakin and Sebulba's podracer. Excellent just a few weeks ago I thought of doing a podrace in my lego movies and with this set I can do that. Republic Frigate. Excellent probably means we might get a Clone Naval officer or Jedi. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Clone_naval_officer Quote
General Magma Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Less good than the wishlist ( ) but still gonna be an awesome wave! Especially the Endor battlepack and both Geonosian sets are on my list. If the Sith Infiltrator is better than the most recent one (which I have) and comes with a new Darth Maul, then I'll most likely buy it. I also need a Qui-Gon hairpiece for my figure from the RC... As for the Frigate, I most likely won't buy it if it's the Pelta-class one - unless it is actually really good and comes with some great minifigs. Could perhaps come with a Wulff Yularen figure. Battle of Endor set could come with Luke in his Endor outfit. I normally don't like to see non-generic figures in battlepacks, but if a head-switch on Luke could make him look like a regular soldier (or a different class) then that's fine with me! Overall, it's going to be a great year! Looking forward to these. ~ General Magma Quote

Derek Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 I noticed on that Dutch(?) list that the Sith Infiltrator had a Jan. 1st release date. Perhaps it is a store exclusive? Maybe to Walmart in the US? -Derek Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Not particularly wowed by any of the new sets, but it'll at least be interesting to see what minifigs they come with. That seems to be the focus with the 2011 sets we have seen, as well as the new Harry Potter sets. I would really love a new Qui-Gon minifig. Quote

Zzz Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Czech. Might be a mistake. And how our new member (welcome to EB, mate!) Augustus pointed out, it might not be true: I am from the same Czech forum and I can verify, this retailer really exists, the problem is whether it can be considered reliable. I have never bought anything from them, but I wanted once, because believe it or not they once made such a great mistake that they put the sets on sale with the price tag without VAT - which means 20 % discount in czech rep. The point is they do not seem very reliable and maybe this retailer just wants to attract attention. As a OT/PT fan there is already a lot I can work with, even before talking about some pretty exclusives we might get. But we have to be careful not to get up our hopes high and be disappointed in the end. I would say, before anything appears on Jedinews (was always a 100% reliable) or from our members Whung or Legomilk (also, very informed members of EB), we might be a bit relaxed about this. Thank you, Augustus, for telling us more about the sources' reliability, that is too nice coming from a new member. (Sometimes new members do exactly the difference and pull our legs by spreading wrong rumours, so your behaviour is very much appreciated here!) Quote

Supersonic Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 (edited) This and nothing else is a Republic Frigate. Unlike the Pelta (which is called Medical Frigate) it has many appearances in TCW (13 episodes and the movie) and is a rather beautiful ship. So if this list is real, this is what we'll get. I'm hoping for a Yularen minifig, too, as his role in TCW is also not that small. (And we could always get new Jedi in big sets - this has often enough been the case in the past. Agen Kolar, Eeth Koth and Luminara Unduli (without stupid lightsaber) are due imo.) Edited October 17, 2010 by Supersonic Quote

Brickdoctor Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Okay, as much as I want this new info to confirmt he wave, it really does nothing other than prove that Poza wasn't lying about the Czech forum, which none of us accused him of. We still don't know if the source that the user of the Czech forum got it from is legit. As has previously been said, that user is unreliable. As much as I want these rumors to be true, they almost sound too good, and I'll wait until we have real basis for the rumor before giving my thoughts on the wave. Quote

Delta 38 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 This new list (or origin of it) seems to be more realistic because of the other sets listed that are known to come out. I see a few sets I haven't heard of, interesting... Using a very basic translation, it seems that the Endor and Geonosis are both the larger battle packs that we're getting used to seeing. That's fairly good, I guess. So long as there are Ewoks, scout troopers, Endor rebels, Geonosians and clone troopers, I'm happy. Some of the dates must have been mistaken though. Both the Geonosis set and the Sith Infiltrator are listed as January. While I'd really like to get both (particularly the Sith Infiltrator, no matter how bad it really is), it's probably a mistake. Hmm, suddenly the focus seems to be on the first two movies. That's good, but I need more Clone Wars and Original Trilogy sets. Quote
djmangunz Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Besides the random bullcrap list of future sets we get around here, for the most part our members typically get the rumors right. I am going to believe Poza's source is correct for no other reason than the list is too boring to be made up. If the list was full of crazy sets with twenty obscure minifigures I would disbelieve it, but these sets seem too vanilla to be fake. The Republic Frigate does perk my interest, especially if it comes with some new clone commanders or jedi. And I am going to agree with Supersonic (and all the other people who said it also) that the Frigate will be the Consular-class cruiser. Which could be a nice looking ship, if Lego does it right.
