Hopefully they'll be hard-plastic, like the second round of automatic pistols that TLC produced for the Indiana Jones as opposed to the first versions for the Batman theme. You have to be incredibly careful when posing them so as not to score or damage the handles. Hard plastic versions would be spot-on.

Aurra Sing, Luminara Unduli, Saesee Tiin, Shaak Ti and more... getting spoiled this year!

I hope so, too. I've got some of the grey ARC pistols that are totally mangled on the handles from putting into minifig hands, and one that I discocered the hard way it isn't a good idea to have the figs grip the barrel.

thats interesting...when i saw the proton cannon at first i thought it was some kind of weird spider dwarf droid...

I never knew luminara was a speeder tybe of lady..looks weird with sunglasses...

And what is this about no Vos in the shuttle? I think I missed it...

We found the final pictures for the eight sets in the january wave but apparently TLG have scrapped Vos and we are getting another Anakin.

Wow this topic does really grow from useless banter to super cool pics in a day!

The sets are looking pretty good, there are a few that I thought I wasn't going to get but now im considering them.

The Battle of Naboo looks great! Cool new Gun Gans and heaps of BDs which is always a nice inclusion. The ship looks alright to me but seems to have some good features.

The Battle of Geonosis looks great! This is probably going to be a must buys for me at this stage. Ive always wanted a Rex minifig and Luminara is a cool inclusion. Her double sided head should be cool as well. I just hope this isnt too expensive in NZ.

Was this set originally going to be in the first 2011 wave? Or was it in the second one? Or was it not even included in the list we have been given?

oh is that so?

I don't actually mind that as I don't have anakin (embarrasingly enough  ) so this will be a good chance

sorry for all you guys out there who wanted Vos

I know it's been said, but damn they removed Quinlan Vos. The guy just doesn't get a break, get removed from ROTS in post-production gets scrapped from the A clone Wars episode and now he gets removed from a Lego set and then to imagine I was really anxious for that set. Still Saesee Tiin and Shaak Ti are great but he just was the topping on the cake.

Yeah it's a bummer they removed Vos, but I still think he will appear in the CW series (Proof? Hasbro made a CW version action fig of him), and hence will find his way soon in a lego set. Besides, why would TLG make a minifig 'teaser' if they're not going to release him right? So probably we'll get him on the second wave.

They made the prototype, and realized they needed a 99% profit margin

Please excuse me for not wanting to sort through the past 15 pages of banter, but has it been confirmed that the new set with Luminara is the Battle of Geonosis that was rumored in the supposed summer list?

If it is, I'm kinda bummed. :sceptic: This definitely looks like a solid set, but I was hoping for a set based on Episode II...

I think it's is still not confirmed. The supposed Battle of Geonosis set will be on the second wave, and the Luminara set is part of the first wave. I think I may have mislabeled it when I summarized the first wave sets with a post I made, my bad. :sadnew:

No, if you zoom in close, you can see the Luminara set is the Battle of Geonosis, and is in the first wave.

Ah ok, I stand corrected. Then we'd have to get the Geonosians from the Geonosis Starfighter set in the second wave then.

So that's what the Geonosis set is. It also seems to be released in the first wave! Yes! I can get Rex at last! :classic:

As for that... thing, it looks a bit like one of those advanced dwarf spider droids from Republic Commando. I may have to do some large scale modifying to this. It doesn't look very durable. As for the BARC speeder, it's fairly redundant.. I'm planning to get four clone battle packs, and I don't want any more speeders. If only they could have included something more interesting...

Luminara isn't a must-have for me, but Rex definitely is. Yay, I'm excited now.

Oh, and is it just me, or does the droid carrier become lighter every time we see it? It started with a reddish brown, then a lighter brown, and now this. I preferred the second version.

I swear lego pull stuff out of their megablocks, i swear they just put things into a hat and stick to whatever they pull out.

The Luminara glasses thing was from when she was chasing down Poggle during the sand storm, as for the gun that looks like the AA from Ryloth, was that even in that battle for Geonosis 2.

I think they were the artillery emplacements that the AT-TEs were tasked with taking out. You know, the ones that appeared for two seconds before being blown up like every other underrated CW Sep.

The geonosis set may be the first SW set I bhought in a year, I just can't refuse to not buy a four legged robot with a big cannon on top :classic: And on wookiepedia it's called a proton cannon

Ah now you mention it, Yeah I think I remember.

I just noticed that the Halo and the shuttle both have new stickers (or hopefully printed pieces). I like the Halo's, but I'm not particularly fond of the shuttle's.

Aurra Sing seems to have two of those pistols! Maybe it's just the angle though, but I do think we'll get the new pistols. As for Vos being replaced with Anakin, I'm fine with that... this time. Since I don't have Anakin yet, I'll let that slip, but once I do I'll be complaining. Shame about the bomb squad troopers' arms, but I think I might live with that.

Yeah I noticed that too, not that it matters to me since I will be passing on both sets, but I agree the T-6 cockpit sticker has bit 'too much' white stripes with little view left. But regarding the Bomb Squad Troopers, I tried to zoom in (though blurry) and it looks like both arms are orange.

I did a close up of the clone's BP and those bomb squad troopers have one orange and one white arm each.

That's just how I see it anyway.

Interesting to read on Brickset that one person already owns 'Battle Of Naboo' eh ?

Remember, the brick will always be with you ! :yoda:

Another CW/PT set for the first half of 2011!

Hopefully there'll be released at least minimum one exclusive OT set in the first half of 2011 (which is very unsupposably since the big exclusive sets (apart from the AT-OT and Dropship) were always firstly released in late summer) - otherwise I'll get really  !

Not all Lego SW customers are OT fans and OT set buyers, but it's even not the case that all Lego SW customers are CW/PT fans and CW/PT set buyers!

I'm sure we'll see Vos in a later set, he still hasn't appeared in the CW series yet.. and although he obviously will in this series, I guess they want to hold off until he actually has made an appearence. Until then, Shaak Ti and Luminara, etc, make more sense to be included. I'm really happy we're finally getting a new Rex minifig, missed out on him with the AT-TE and he's one of the main characters!

Overall, I'm more impressed with these sets than I thought I would be. I still think the Halo and the Jedi shuttle are pretty poor designs, but the rest of them look great and those two are helped by their very unique minifigs.

Yeah so Am I. I like the halo cause its a nice design and rocking 3 new minifigs! All of them are bounty hunters which we really dont see enough. The Jedi shuttle I wont be getting, and thats good cause I guess it will be the most expensive one. I cant justify just getting it for Shaak Ti and Saesee when I would be wasting my money on a ugly ship with Anakin and Obi Wan in there as well. I may be swayed by a great review on here though

Hey guys, I think you are making a big mistake.

The 7869 "Battle For Geonosis" wich was annonced by the Legopirate forum and the 7957 "Geonosis Battle Pack" annonced by the Czechs are two différents sets. Moreover it's more right to call the 7956, "The Endor Battle Pack" than "The Battle of Endor".
