BlueBard Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Hi everybody! As promised here's the last addition to my City diorama. Enough of modular buildings, let's have a bit of green in the city, let's have a park! More photos can be seen here (flickr) or here (Brickshelf, when moderated). Hope you like it! Comments are welcome! Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 AWESOME as usual 'BlueBard' - nice to see you liking ice cream in the park eh ? Nice tree and simple statue - I'm a conformist! 'BlueBard' I'm a conformist! ! Quote
BlueBard Posted July 27, 2010 Author Posted July 27, 2010 AWESOME as usual 'BlueBard' - nice to see you liking ice cream in the park eh ? Thanks lightningtiger! What's better than an ice cream with this summer heat? Quote
Redcross Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 The ice cream vendor's knee length jacket is genius. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 (edited) Nice park BlueBard, a different creation from your usual modulars but still impressive. I like the pigeon(?) at the top of the tree and the little bird drinking at the fountain. Just curious, is the pavement outside supposed to be black? I'm kinda used to seeing grey pavements in our place. Edited July 28, 2010 by KielDaMan Quote
peterab Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Thanks lightningtiger! What's better than an ice cream with this summer heat? That's so mean, its winter in Australia I really like the little details in this addition to your town like the birds and ice cream cart. Quote
BlueBard Posted July 28, 2010 Author Posted July 28, 2010 Thanks for the nice comments The ice cream vendor's knee length jacket is genius. Actually it's an old technique among the MOCers but thanks anyway Just curious, is the pavement outside supposed to be black? I'm kinda used to seeing grey pavements in our place. Yes, it's black. I decided to give that personal touch to my own city, and rememeber that even if all around the globe most of the pavements are grey there are some places (like Paris, in some districts) with black ones. That's so mean, its winter in Australia You're right, but actually I meant spanish summer Quote
prateek Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 (edited) Great scene. I love the wall, and the inside is really good too. I see you're in line for some ice cream. Make sure you watch out for any hitmen BTW, I just realized that this is the cheapest Lego ice cream I've ever seen! Usually it costs $100, but this one costs a few coins! Edited July 29, 2010 by prateek Quote
BrickClick Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Great MOC I love the birds and the statue! Great work BlueBard! BTW, I just realized that this is the cheapest Lego ice cream I've ever scene! Usually it costs $100, but this one costs a few coins! LOL! Quote
MacK Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Excellent work BlueBard I really like to see all of the little details and minifigs you put into the scene. It does seem a little small right now though. Are you planning to add more to it? Perhaps you could add a playground or something into it. Quote
anna Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 It's really very successful! I love the tree and the mushrooms and the statue is really well detailed Quote
BlueBard Posted July 28, 2010 Author Posted July 28, 2010 Thanks for your comments, everybody! I see you're in line for some ice cream. Make sure you watch out for any hitmen BTW, I just realized that this is the cheapest Lego ice cream I've ever scene! Usually it costs $100, but this one costs a few coins!  Are you planning to add more to it? Not for the moment. Actually I did it to fit a 32x32 studs gap in my diorama, but maybe in a future expansion I could enlarge it, yes. Quote
Rick Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Great little module BlueBard. Lots of attention to detail (as usual). Quote
MdrnMrvls Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Great idea for a park. It's a very simple design. I like it! Quote
OneSnowTrooper Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Nice job! But why is that mother giving a carrot to her baby ?.... Quote
BlueBard Posted July 29, 2010 Author Posted July 29, 2010 Thanks, people! But why is that mother giving a carrot to her baby ?.... Not a carrot, it's supposed to be some kind of rattle Quote
ThatGuyWithTheBricks Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Can we see a picture of all of your fantastic works so far together? Quote
BlueBard Posted July 30, 2010 Author Posted July 30, 2010 Can we see a picture of all of your fantastic works so far together? If everything goes well, by the end of August Quote
WhiteFang Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 A little bit late for the opening, but better late than never. It's nice to see so many nice details in this park such as the fountain, statue and birds. Very nicely done. And, this is now blogged in, Quote
BlueBard Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 Thank yoy very much! Allways honoured to appear in your wonderful blog! Quote
icy brick Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Awesome but I was thinking and hoping that you would build a city or something like that because your buildings are so great ! I´m building a city right now and I want to ask you a question so here it comes: which one should I build a larger city with smaller buildings or a smaller city with bigger buildings ? P.S I´m a huge fan of yours Quote
sens1992 Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Awesome park BlueBard! Love the little scenes with the minifigures! Quote
