The Crystal King has been dethroned. A mighty usurper now rules the underground kingdom with four clawed fists. Can anyone or anything ever defeat this deadly new nemesis?

Here's my take on a four-armed rock monster. The Crystal King was looking kind of wimpy, so I thought his days as the king were at an end. Not too terribly sure I like the sword and horn fingers, but I haven't figured out what to replace them with. Also wouldn't mind replacing the black robot arm fingers with either dark bley or pearl light bley (all I had on hand was black).

Please comment and critique:

Wow no comments on this behemoth? He looks fantastic! The use of troll swords is perfect and I really like how you did the whole four arms thing it does look very menacing. He definitely looks like he could shred the crystal king into bite sized pieces in no time! Great work! :cry_happy:

This dude does'nt just eat crystals for dinner, he eats whole rock formations

Really nice job and I especially like the four arms!

Holy crap, this is Crystal King on steroids! This is impressive!

The rock monsters answer to Ben10's 'Four Arms' !

AWESOME monster 'UsernameMDM' - just what every child needs !

Great work and I'm a conformist! 'UsernameMDM' I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

Amazing!I very like rocky relief on him-much better than on Crystal King. The only thing, that i don't like is the legs. They are very similar to king's legs.

I like it a LOT! But, I must say, I liked it more in the first photo when I saw two arms on one side and one on the other, before I realized he had a fourth tucked away there. In other words, I kinda liked the idea of a slightly asymmetrical beast, as if mutated to that size with a couple of side effects. It looks great either way, honestly.

And to a lesser extent, to General Grievous

That's truly one menacing monster - an embodiment of brute force. I could just imagine how it "Alpha-male growls" ala-King Kong. Great job on this 'UsernameMDM'!

Thanks for the comments everyone!

MantaMan - true that the upper legs are similar, but I used a ball joint instead of a click hinge for the ankle/lower leg and completely changed the feet. More posable and nowhere as goofy/clunky looking as the Crystal King's feet.

Carbohydrates - I thought about doing this except he would have normal shorter hands, one bladed/clawed upper arm and one hammer/club/boulder upper arm.

Very neat monster usernameMDM! The four arms and various protruding spines really give an exaggerated, threatening look that the poor Crystal King lacked. I agree with you on the black joints, I think if you manage to replace them with grey ones it will look nice, but as it stands this is a terrific creation, my only beef is that the back is a bit bare. The front however, has a lot of menace and I love how you've spread the green colour around.

Batbrick Away!

Fantastic! I prefer this more than the original Crystal King. I like the use of swords for claws, which although great, was already used by Matt Stafford for his Crystal Master. I personally prefer your modification more than Matt's but advise you that if you did get ideas from Matt, you should give him some credit. The swords behind the Crystal Revenger head also is great along with the use of the lovely neon-green rock pieces.

A quick search will show you that I posted a link to the Crystal Master awhile back. I guess I was inspired by both the Crystal Master and the Gormiti Kolossus. And actually a little bit of kaiju.

you would not want to mess with this guy! Great job!

Wow that cool, a hybrid of crystal king.

Where'd you get so many swords :oh3: I would love to have that many...I'm jealous! Weakly enough, I only have one, the one in the Indiana Jones Ambush In Cairo set because I, for some reason, never really 'needed' castle troll sets...

Wow. The crystal king looks lame compared to this.

Awesome build. The poor crystal king didn't stand a chance.

Cool. Seems a bit short though, but I suppose it makes up for it with the claws and 4 arms and stuff. Nice use of the swords for the claws also.

Kinda reminds me of one of the monsters in Doctor Who that eats people when there is a paradox. Can't remember what they are called though...
