gene2808 Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Hello.... I'm Eugene from the tropical city of Singapore. In my 30s and happily married. LEGO has always been part of my life since my younger days. Started with lego town sets, which to date remains my favourite LEGO theme. Not that the LEGO themes these days are not good but I prefer the nostalgic feel and simplicity in design the older sets bring. Moved into the "dark age" in my 2Os but came back to the hobby again 5 years back. These days, my main collections are the older series star wars and modular building sets. Still short of cafe corner and green grocer. I have just ventured into MOCs, learning the ins-and-outs of creating igning a modular building and hope to build one later. My wife loves the star wars sets and minifigs. Now she is almost done with whole series of star wars mini. We also have an online store which we buy and sells our used lego pieces. LEGO has indeed bring many happy times to our family. I hope to make new friends and learnt from other son MOCs through this website. Quote

Blackicep8ntball Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 It is indeed fortunate to find such a wife . Good to have you with us from all the way over there in Singapore! It's a pretty modern city there, definitely... pretty easy to find Lego sets I guess? Looking forward to seeing your Modular buildings when they come about! Keep studying - you'll learn some awesome stuff here. I know I have. Quote

VBBN Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Welcome to Eurobricks! Yes i must agree, the simplicity of the older sets is what makes them very nice, and classic town is a favorite of mine as well. Have fun and ask if you have any questions. ;] Quote
