conductorjoe Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Hey, this is conductorjoe. I've read news and stuff from this site for a long time but never posted on the forum until now. Well if you ever went on the Lego.com message boards, you probably saw me on there-I was known as(you guessed it, conductorjoe :-D ). I remember Mr. Phes, he had a topic about Pirates I beleive. *waves to Mr. Phes* Well anyway cool site. I operate my own lego site- http://kohcastle.com Not sure if I'm allowed to post that link or not. Anyway it's a pretty popular site, mostly under the age of 18. It's worth a look-see. *wub* Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 13, 2006 Governor Posted April 13, 2006 Conductor Joe its about time you signed up here! You're way too good for those horrible LEGO.com message boards. As I recall you were one (or the only) intelligent poster on those message boards and the rest were horrible little kids! I gave up on the LEGO.com years ago because the moderators didn't allow for proper discussion. It seems all they want is users to post how much they love LEGO but not mention any of the negative or critical aspects, nor any relevant news or MOCs external to LEGO.com. Which is understandable since LEGO.com wants control all that themselves, BUT screw em! It wasn't really an environment conducive to discussion so to Eurobricks I went! I did contribute heavily to the one and only Pirate thread on the LEGO.com message boards but it was probably a waste of my time because 95% of the readers were too young to understand what I was on about anyway. But over here I have a whole forum for Pirate threads, just click on my signature and it will take you to the index. You've also done a good job with your website, but if you ever want to join a LEGO discussion forum where the majority of users are over 18 (or mature enough to discuss like they're over 18), Eurobricks is the place! Sir Dillon Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 Hello, Joe! Welcome to EB. I hope you enjoy yourself here. :-) Quote
conductorjoe Posted April 13, 2006 Author Posted April 13, 2006 Thanks for the welcome guys! :-D I did quit the Lego.com message boards probably about a year ago. I agree totally with what you said, and you don't know the half of it. Now, people are mysteriously having their accounts deleted for no reason, the mods are locking any topic that even slightly questions Lego. Most of the original members have left or came to my site. I got my website started when the mod's policies drove me off the boards, and now I never to go the Lego.com MB. *sweet* I managed to get many of my buddies from Lego.com over to my site also and now none of them go to Lego.com either. I'll be posting here more, but I've got to go to bed. Cya all later. *yoda* Quote
vahkimetru Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 Hey, you might remember me as galiandnuvock from your knights of honor topic. Welcome! I'll bet the mods are little eight year olds pressing every possible button that makkes them feel in charge. :glare: Quote

Berry Syedow Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Welcome aboard, conductorjoe! I'm glad you decided to join us. You were one of the few diamonds in the rough at LEGO.com. X-D I still frequent the boards, sticking to the "parent section," but it's not nearly as enlightening as this place. Mr. Phes, precisely how negative were you? The mods usually authorize any of my posts that contain criticisms of TLC. Heck, there was a huge post I made, analyzing the fall of the LEGO empire, that was almost immediately accepted. They only disapprove of every new thread that I create. |-/ Quote

EB is pretty cool, much better than the Lego.com MB. Quote
Norro Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Welcome.. I read the lego.com boards once when they first put them up but decided they couldn't compete with the AFOL community... God Bless, Nathan Quote
